Does it matter if it is packed in square feet or square meters? At the end of the day all you want is titles of specific area in your space.
Just be consistent with the unit when measuring and when buying the required quantity.
Tip
Google can convert any area unit to your preferred unit.

Thanks

QSFemi:
Yes. Tiles are packed and measured in square metres boldly written on the carton.

For instance, 600mm x 600mm vitrified floor tiles, has 4 PCs in a carton. That means a carton is 1.44sqm. This goes for other types of tiles. I always advise my clients to buy their tiles per carton rather than per square metres. Lots of unscrupulous sellers can cheat the buyer if you're not conversant with measurements.

Thanks I saw a tutorial on nairaland and it was helpful.

Mama please discontinue the use of tribotan since the rash has gone.I heard from a group that it's for treatment not to be used as cream. Have been bathing my baby too with red flower I add little to his water every morning and his body is rash free
I have stopped the tribotan since, but we still use sudocream.
So, are you talking about sudocream?

Please help I saw these thing on my babies chest and groin area what could it be

Oke, sorry about that.
We battled something similar to this on my baby's neck and buttock from 3weeks old and the thing is just clearing off now at 3months.
I used tribotan baby, sudocream(still using it) and along the line I cooked hibiscus leaves and use the water to bath him for three days.
It was the hibiscus that stopped the rashes. If you can get hibiscus leaves, fine if not get sudocream for him.
My regards

Clears throat, let me get my 'Engineer' hat on grin

As a nairaland trained Engineer, below are my submissions.

1. Have you purchased the land yet? Let's assume you have. Because you need a land to build on.

1a) building plan: what are your plans/purpose for this house, commercial or private? Are you thinking of a duplex or a bungalow? Also funding, do you have money for this project sitting around somewhere or do you plan to gradually gradually generate the fund for this build?

Answers to this questions will guide you towards your approach and your priorities in the project.

2). I understand the question as should you fix doors and windows first before tiles and WC? To this my answer is yes. If you have the fund , you could do all at once but the pocket is on the tight side, I will secure the building first before any other thing.

3). Again, recall my submission on 1). If this is bungalow, I would say concrete because the laws of physics will work with you and water pressure will not be adversely affected.

4) plastering before POP, not necessarily but due to lack of professionalism by our artisans , they might make a mess of this so I will say yes. Plaster before POP.
Plaster before windows - not really, windows could go in before plastering.

5). Nothing wrong with that, If funds are on the tight side, that's a safe option. Oga Spyder880 have done multiple of projects like this. I would imagine his clients were bouncing off the ceiling with happiness.

Good luck!

Cheers!!
Answers to question 1 is yes.
2. What I meant is that, is it safe to keep materials like tiles, wc and the likes in the house after fixing windows and exit doors.
Thanks sir.

1 After securing your land (Get the Necessary Plans & drawing ready) to beginning of foundation . To lintel level to roofing stage.
Once it gets to roofing stage. Most activities begin. a) Plumbing works b)Wiring c) Windows & Doors d) Plastering c)Then Interior : POP then tiling , etc Painting should come last.

2 yeah. If area is secured

3 Oga @Michilins can do justice to that. Although i might go with concrete (if it was my build)

4 Yes. You must Plaster before fixing POP

5 it's not a bad idea (Am not so Sure) . I'd advise you go for concrete Parapet.

I hope this helps a bit.

I'll leave the rest to my ogas in the house to do a proper Break down & Hopefully Better explanation.

Cheers.

Thanks sir. All information is noted as I await other people's contribution.

Hello professionals in the house. I'm here to seek the advice of the professionals here concerning my family's new house project.

It's a four bedroom pent house.

Here are my questions;
1) what are the step by step stages of building the house from scratch to finishing?
2) is it adviceable to keep materials such as tiles, wc etc after fixing window and exit doors.
3) concrete or iron water tank, which is the best for a small family?
4) do we need to plaster the inside of the building before fixing pop and windows?
5) we are thinking of using roofing sheets to do the parapet instead of concrete. I hope that is a good idea.

Thanks in advance

[quote author=Zehner post=101382050]BS!! BS!! BS!!

I started having serious back pain in June 2020 and I couldn’t sit to type, it got so bad I would support myself with waist trainer then put a pillow behind me.

Told my fiancé and we went for X-ray, test ... nothing came up, prior to then I had several dreams of going for scan and seeing a baby and my dreams never lie so I confidently told him I was pregnant .

Bought strip ... nothing , then I started having feverish feeling and my mouth was bitter 2 weeks later my period didn’t come.... went for blood test still negative waited a week did another one still nothing I was confused.

My mom called to ask me how far the back ache and I said it was still there... she just said “you are pregnant” my response was they said “nothing o”.

Then towards the ending of July period came.
My fiancé wasn’t happy at all because he secretly wanted me to be pregnant.

August we moved houses , did our intro and in the midst of house hunting, intro planning and moving a full month passed again and still no period yet again....
Then when we finally settled in our new home it hit me that my period had disappeared.

This time I kept mute didn’t want to raise his hope again ... then my sense of smell heightened and one evening we went to chill at a lounge close to our house I ordered goat meat pepper soup...... they brought it and I couldn’t eat o! It just won’t pass my throat and instead I started feeling nauseous.

My fiancé was so shocked (I am proper foodie) he said you are stressed Oya we are going to the hospital.
Next day we went to the hospital and at the hospital I smelt anything and everything ...

I quietly told the doctor to please include a pregnancy test to whatever test they were running, result came out and guess what .... I was 14 weeks pregnant.

I must say however that the feeling of seeing your child is so rewarding at the end of it all.

EDD: 24th, 27th April
DOB: 27th April
Birth Story submitted.

[quote author=Joydan95 post=101339006]B.S

On the 12th of April of April , In the morning my husband asked me while we were gisting when I will go for my pregnancy photo shoot but I wasn’t interested. He was like “I just dey laugh you....baby will come next week”. I was like are you a prophet? grin,Anyways I prepared my photoshoot dress on Wednesday (cos I am tailor) and we went for the shoot on Thursday. After the shoot I prepared and left for my parent’s cos of the proximity to the hospital (it a 10 minutes drive from their house to the hospital and a 40 /1 hour drive from my house). Fast forward to Tuesday night of the next week being 20th April, hubby and I spoke on phone and he kept repeating that I would give birth on Wednesday being 21st and I was laughing...I told him “it’s tomorrow I will know if God has called you or not”. He laughed!
In the mid night I had a rumbling stomach so I went to poo and I urinated frequently than normal. Early that morning as soon as day broke, I had the urgent feeling to pee, lo and behold as soon as I stood up from the bed to go to the bathroom I felt a gush of water coming out of my V when I checked the ground I saw that it was a bit slimy and I saw a spot of blood. My mum was preparing for work and I immediately looked at her and told her water is coming out...she was like pack your bags , get dressed let your dad drop you at the hospital. I went to my room to get dressed and I felt a hot rush of water coming again so I called my husband to meet me at the hospital.
Getting to the hospital at past 6am I waited for a Doctor ,he came checked me and told the nurses to admit me.I was admitted and in between every 30 minutes I was checked. At past 8, I was called to come first the theatre for VE...my God, I screamed my liver out cos the pain is unexplainable. The midwife inserted her hands and I was pushing upwards on the theatre bed to the extent that my head was no longer on it. I cried really bad, that was when the reality of child birth dawn on me.I was 2cm dilated as at that inspection. Around past 10 again I was called to the theatre for VE but this time around it was by the MD of the hospital, you needed to have seen how I almost jumped out of the bed when he inserted his hands , I thought the initial VE was painful but this second one was double painful one would think I was trying to give birth. I was 4-5 cm dilated.
The nurses came every 30 minutes to check my blood pressure and take read of the baby’s heartbeat. Towards 11pm the heart beat was till reading 150 which they said was normal. Later on into 12 to 1pm the heartbeat of my baby started fluctuating, the heart was beating so fast that they had to call a Doctor and when he checked he said he will give me some time and they will check again and if the heart beat rate still goes high I will have to be operated. Later on they checked again and it was still high, they prepared the theatre and I walked there before I entered the theatre, the Doctor had explained to my husband that I and the baby was at risk . While I was in the theatre, the Doctor asked the midwife of my husband had signed the consent for and she confirmed that my husband didn’t hesitate to sign it. The Doctor was like that is so fast!!! The midwife was like that is what happens when you have an understanding man as a husband.
I was asked to sit on the bed and cross both of my hands on my shoulders and I was given aesthetic injections (it was painful and I was so scared) I didn’t feel my body anymore . The 2 Doctors prayed and work started. I was cut open, the incision was small so they were struggling to pull out the baby. Another doctor entered and told the Doctor working on me these words “Cut her more” .. the male doctor working on me said “No, I can work with this cut” ...the intruding Doctor was like “If I was the one I will just cut it further and get it done with”. Come and see me praying at that moment (This was the kind of Doctor I prayed against).
The two Doctors working on me kept pulling and pulling until the Senior Doctor finally pulled out my baby at 2: 41pm he screamed that the baby was big . The baby was cleaned and weighed...my Prince Charming weighed 3.55kg and cried sweetly, The Doctor was like he thought there was going to be complications like bleeding and was very grateful to God for how smooth it was cos it took less than 10 minutes after tear to bring the baby out, I immediately forget my pains when they brought him to my chest and I kissed him. God is indeed wonderful, please praise him for me.

I have officially started my 4th trimester sleepless nights , continuous feeding (I am trying to do exclusive) Baby is just 1 week 5 days but he acts like 3months old. Very strong and active. EDD- 14th April, 1May 2021
Delivery Date-21 April 2021 at 38 weeks 5 days
