Hello everyone

I just realized one should also mention previous refusal in other countries in one’s new application,
Although, I mentioned the refusal I had in Canada but didn’t know I should mention the one I had in US in my new application too,

1. is there a way I can address this mistake to IRCC?
2. Do I need to wait for their response first before addressing it to them?
3. How severe can this mistake affect my application?

I re-applied in early March without NSE documents and no upfront medical, no update yet though
[b]IMMEDIATELY send an email to IRCC notifying them that you want to withdraw the application and tell them the mistake was the reason for withdrawal. After that you can reapply. Canada share info with US. They'll surely discover your US refusal and you're 99.9% likely to be banned from entry into Canada for 5yrs. Take this seriously. It may be the end of your Canadian dream.

Good afternoon house!
kudos to everyone sacrificing their time to contribute on this page. I have been an ardent follower for a while.

I applied for a study Visa last month and I got a mail this morning that I might be eligible for Nigeria Student Express.
One of the requirements of the NSE is proof of IELTS result. The school already offered me admission by waiving IELTS.

My question goes thus;

Can I mail them that IELTS has already been waived for me.
Do I need to go to the bank to request another statement of account different from the one I submitted earlier.
Should I also do my Medicals and submit along side the application.

Thank you for your time.
To be eligible for the NSE, you must submit an IELTS result.
If you do not have IELTS result AND do not intend to write one, then do this: write your school (in Canada) to give you a letter stating that English language test result was not required or waived for your study, then send the letter to the Visa Officer. Pls send us an email at asi.scholars@gmail.com to let us know the outcome.

Does anyone understand the reason why IRCC require study visa applicants in Nigeria undertake IELTS exam to be eligible for expedited study permit processing under the Nigeria Student Express (NSE) scheme?

Since Canadian tertiary institutions generally offer Nigerian applicants unconditional admission without any condition on English language proficiency, is it proper for IRCC to mandate them to take IELTS test before they can speed up their study visa processing?

As a Nigerian bachelor/Master graduate who has been educated in English language, does the language proficiency requirement by IRCC under the NSE visa processing scheme make you feel like your language skill is inferior to the Canadian standard?

Please House, My friend got a mail from IRCC requesting:
1. Proof of finance from mybankstatement.com

2. IELTS Certificate of 6.0 or more in all sections.

Can she ask for a certificate of exemption from IELTS from her school since they did not ask for it during the application. She is going for her masters.
Can the IELTS exemption certificate suffice for IELTS certificate?

Thank you in anticipation of your responses
Are you sure that request is from IRCC?

No visa officer will grant a study permit application to a qualified lawyer to undertake any of these programs you listed above. Let him do Masters program in Nigeria to improve on his 2:2 and then apply for an LLM in Canada.

Akintommy thanks for the info, I really appreciate
But the schools I want doesn't necessarily need supervisor before applying. Thanks a bunch ,I just hope everything works out before the deadline. I'm also thinking of doing another Masters if the transcripts are not ready by then...what do you think? do I have chance?
Do another masters in Canada in the same field you want to research for your PhD. It gives you the opportunity to acquire very vital research skills Nigerian universities dont teach you. You can then carry the research to PhD level.
Also, after the masters in Canada (even b4 the PhD) you can file for permanent residence with additional points for your Canadian education.
Whats your field? DM if you want to chat about it.

Hello gurus in the house. I'm new here !!please I need your advise because right now I'm confused. Have finished my masters here in Nigeria but I'd don't have my certificate yet. I wish to do my PHd immediately after my Masters in Canada and the deadline for applications is January 15. And the possibility of getting my certificate by then is 4/10. Please my bro/sis in the house what should I do..?
P.s : PhD in Canada is for fall 2021 if I miss this chance that will be 2022(fall) again. What should I do please?
You dont need your masters certificate to start your PhD admission process in Canada. You need your undergrad and masters transcripts.

Please I need a professional writer who can help me draft quality statement of purpose, work history and other relevant write ups.

I will provide all the background info required.

I will do the final reviews and clean up. This is for a fee.

Please DM me if you are interested.

P.S. I will test your ability to write.
If you cannot draft your statement of purpose without a professional assistance, then you may want to reconsider your decision to pursue a graduate education in Canada because a statement of purpose is apparently the easiest paper you'll be drafting as a graduate student.

So I just got refused o. One of the bases for refusal was the VO was not convinced I would return to my home country based on my family ties in Canada and my home country. I have no family in Canada and was going alone so what does the 'family ties in Canada' part mean?
You should apply for your GCMS note to get full details of the visa officer's reason for the refusal decision. GCMS note usually takes 30 calendar days to process but with the Covid backlogs processing could take up to 90days.
