Jobs/Vacancies / Re: VACANCIES @ JOBS.COM by afrobaby(f): 12:12pm On Sep 27, 2013
The rate of unemployment has made so many people foolish, not because they are fools, but they believe you may never buy *the truth* without first buying lies. To me personally, this sounds like scam. Premium jobs that cant be confirmed, just like estherbreakthrough and co. I asked for her Mode of payment: she replied Send 3k MTN voucher, even if the money is falling from skies like manna, I will rather give it to a beggar. Thir is virtually no way to trace the op, no address, no link to facebook account, he/she is faceless and a ghost.
What is the assurance that the op is not a jobless nairalander looking for peeps to scam. When I contacted her and asked how to confirm if her post is genuine, she said just because of 3k, as if it meant nothing to her, 3k from 20 gullible pople is 60k, which is more than the salary of some people. People should just wise up. I got my present job via nairaland without paying a dime, so people , before u send her that airtime, be sure you wont be mad at yourself if you realise its a scam.
Just my 1 cent

Career / Re: Advice From IT Professionals by afrobaby(f): 5:12pm On Sep 18, 2013
xcitedjay: Most IT certifications are stuffs you can learn and practice on your own, before writing the international certification exams. You don't seem like one who can learn on your own.

If you want to stay relevant in the IT world, you have to read and research continuously. Personally I see training centres of today as rip off, only necessary if you are a slow learner. Video tutorials might be good for you if reading is a problem.

My advice is that you specialize, while getting a lil bit of knowledge here and there. I'm a software developer, I am also Microsoft Certified, have networking skills, database skills, linux skills, mobile app development etc... But keeping yourself updated in all those skills is too much of work that you might end up not being better in the long run. You learn a skill today, jump to another tomorrow, sooner than later you'd discover your knowledge of the previous is no longer valid.

P.S. There's no "Master of many" in the IT sector.

As much as I appreciate response, I hate people talking like they are Know-all. What do you mean by "You don't seem like one who can learn on your own. You can keep your damn advise to yourself. It is not compulsory to respond to posts if you can't select the right words to use.
Career / Re: Advice From IT Professionals by afrobaby(f): 2:06pm On Sep 17, 2013
@lockedout, thanks for your reply. I guess you got what my first post meant wrongly. I am Microsoft certified. What I wanted was to know the expertise of these training centres and what their training can offer. IT is not like other fields, I know poeple who are programmers, have some networking skills, good database administrators and so on. It permits for jack of all trades, master of many.
I really appreciate your response.

How many graduate of computer are programmers?

70% of programmers in Nigeria didn't study and computer related course.

This poo should be address.

U dey jump abi? Lolz, The emphasis was on BSc or HND and not the course, it was stated computer science or related discipline, they do not want someone with a lower qualification, you disappoint me with your response sha

Family / Re: The Family Section Fun Room!! by afrobaby(f): 7:57pm On Sep 05, 2013
@Ngokafor, u are damn right my dear, most married men will begin to raise their voices when they talk about financial needs in the. House, if a man categorically tells me we should do a 50-50 share of finacial needs, then, am sorry, then it means even to breast.feeding the baby, it will be 50-50. There are often times when a woman bears more than 50% of financial needs but the man is in no place to ask for it, we all know needs abound, but it is still the responsibility of the man to provide. Don't they hear this during wedding sermons, even in registries? At times I get really mad when I see some men behave irresponsibly to the needs of their families but hey, women will always find a way to take care of her family even if it means her borrowing.
Men, we are help meets, it si your RESPONSIBILITY to meet our needs (maybe not wants) and it is our DUTY to love and support you..

deols:

ok.

but there is no secret to the chelsea and arsenal part. would have asked to know how.

really refreshing. But how did you show the wifely part? cook for him, take care of him? how?

Lolz, My dear, no secret o, na God's gift.

To categorically pin point something, I can't. Most times he says the way I handled his finances, his social needs, relate with him in the midst of people shows I am needed in his present and future life. Any lady who knows nothing more than take me out, buy this for me, this is what is in vogue, most guys do not like them. Yes, they wanna spoil and take care of your needs, but they prefer someone who will make their financial status more stable and robust.

But above all, u just need to be naturally and love him the way you love yourself.
Family / Re: The Family Section Fun Room!! by afrobaby(f): 9:16am On Sep 03, 2013
@Ama, welcome to the fun room, this is where it is really happening, lolz. I love amarula too, its my sleeping drink, and hubby, menh, he loves it so much.
Don't be sad about being single cause your time will come i remember when one of my siblings asked when I was gonna bring a man home, you are not getting younger u know, you know my response, I told her frankly, the masquarade that dances first becomes a spectator when others are dancing, life na turn by turn.
And to your job, my dear, we are in the same shoe, there are often time I just feel like slapping my boss or even resigning, but what can we do, it is a temporal thing.
All this single eligible and capable guys wey dey one nairaland still dey testrun or na test drive, abeg, eligible ladies dey look for una, personally, I have 3 friends who are waiting for una kind self, cool

@deaols,
Hubby says what got him to say this girl must not go, was my beauty and confidence. Then he would add, my chelsea and arsenal are a thing to behold and possess, lolz.
Then we got closer as friends, he saw that I was so real and natural, wifely, motherly etc, my head go just dey swell,

Hello mummies, my daughter will soon be 1 year old and intend stopping breastfeeding soon, what is the best way to stop, naturally or with drugs, I read that those drugs used for drying up milk can cause cancer in the future, any one with a different view, I heard stopping naturally is usually very painful too
