Hello good people of the house. So after several considerations, I have decided to go with MMU. Still trying to get GTbank to process my Form A for school deposit.
I have 2 questions bothering my mind though

1) After my masters degree, Is there any other fee/fees that I am supposed to pay to get a work visa?
2) For the masters degree, how many years visa do we get? Can we stay in the UK throughout the duration of the visa without stepping out? How do we extend the visa after/before the expiration of the visa. We don't want to stay illegally in the UK at all.

Thank you

Also want to apply for data science, did they ask you for POF and IELTS before they offer you the admission

They ain't asking for POF, I think that will be for visa processing,
Ielts or waec/neco is required

Hello Good people!!
J just got offers from MMU, Nottingham Trent and Leeds Beckett for Msc Data science.

Which school is better in terms of ranking, getting a job after graduation, getting an accommodation ( will be moving with my husband and 2 kids) and providing soft landing for international students.

Hello good people, I got a conditional offer from teesside university and read on the below website that Middlesbrough, where the school is located, is one of the most dangerous city In UK, please how true is this? My husband is discouraged

Since you’re the main applicant, focus on your own first, right now you need to get unconditional offer, pay deposit, book TB test (this one is urgent coz dates are scarce) then POF. Your family can join along the way or after you’ve gone.

Thanks.
I just got another conditional offer from Swansea for January. I am confused now, which to go for, Sunderland or Swansea?

Hello beautiful people of the house, I just got a conditional offer from university of Sunderland, I applied on May 9th.
The offer reads "Conditional offer
Conditions
Subject to evidence of being taught and assessed in English language at degree level and a deposit payment to the University of Sunderland for £3,500 Together with an evidence of name change as the Degree certificate provided is in a different surname."
What evidence do they need again since they have my Degree Certificate?
Also, is the university of Sunderland a good one in terms of it's location, availability of jobs for my husband and I because I will be moving with my family, husband and 2 kids.

My husband and kids just want to get their passports, will I still be able to make September considering TB test for us and obtaining visa? Or should I just tell them to defer to January?

Thank you

Good morning, please have you been able to request for your transcript if yes, how did you go about it, also ACS? I also graduated from oou....computer science.

Yes, I was able to process my transcript, I applied online.
However there was a mistake in the transcript, I am waiting for them to fix the error, though they replied they are on strike and will fix as soon as they resume.

P0141 is O2 sensor but that is not the proplem that triggered the Vtm-4 light. Your abs sensor or module is bad

Fixed, got the sensor for 3k @Ladipo and fixed by my mechanic. The lights are off now

Good morning great people.

I have been driving my pilot less than 2 months, I recently noticed Vtm-4, vsa and abs lights came on. I scanned the car and it came out with the code p0141.

Please what could be the fault, what needs to be checked or replaced?

Thank you

That's among some of the cheapest.

If you get what I'm pointing out

If you have a copy of your transcript, you can upload it along with other documents. ACS does not require that your institution send the transcript directly to them like VETASSES does.
That is the real problem. I have never requested for my transcript before, I just requested now and was told it would take a while before it would be delivered. I am using my husband's company as the organisation so I can have a copy.

I also saw that ACS will collect $500 for the assessment, oluwa mi, that is on the high O. Anyways, waiting for my transcript first.

What do I need to get from my former employees or do I just submit my CV to ACS?

Sorry for so many questions jare

I can't give an authoritative advice on the English test. Some find PTE easier than IELTS while others think IELTS is the best thing after Agege bread cheesy. It is up to you to decide which suits you. I only wrote IELTS, so I have no idea about the structure of PTE.

Yes, I will advice you both do assessments and write the exam to boost each other's points (partner's points).

Go to ACS website (Australian Computer Society), you will find information on documents required and steps to submitting your skills assessment.

NB: you should consider another occupation closely related to system administrator. This is because prior to COVID trouble, only ACT was nominating it and may likely remove when full nomination process starts. Look for closely related occupation that is nominated by at least three states to give you options.

Thanks for your response. I won't pick system administrator, I will likely pick 263212 ICT SUPPORT ENGINEER. I still have a long way to go though. Still need to process my transcript to submit to ACS and I don't know how long oou will process it especially now that there is COVID

Read the first page, go to the occupation list and identify occupations that closely match his skills and yours. Once you do this, use the point calculator to calculate possible points the two of you can get, then you will be able to decide the principal applicant.

You might likely have more points because with his age, the age points is significantly less.

You are right. His age reduced his points.
The maximum points I can attain is 70.
For english competency, which would you advice I do, Ielts or PTE?
Also, do we both have to write the exam?
Lastly, what are the documents I need to submit to the accessing body?

Thank you all

1. Who stands a better chance is dependent on who can gather the maximum points and whose occupation is nominated by the States. We don't know your husband's area of specialisation in IT.

2. Yes, your system admin role is still valid. Experience within 10 years is valid.

Thanks for your prompt response.
My husband is a server administrator, system engineer and a software licensing specialist.

Hello Sir,

You will need to learn CS, it's the building blocks. Not necessarily all CS but basics like algorithm, data structure, etc. Then you can move into any language to solve problems. Popular languages like Python, JS, C#, etc. After gaining confidence in a language, you can move to framworks which enables you to build solutions faster using previously written codes in the chosen language. The final stop will then be a stack, which is a combination of tech framworks and languages. Voilà, you are a developer..

Try many free resources online...youtube, Udacity, Cousera, etc.

CS as in c#?

Please I need help guys. My own case is a very different one.
I was a system administrator in 2 companies for over 4 years before I lost my job in 2016, now I run my personal fashion design business and sales of taileoing accessories but still listed as a director in my husband's company.
I have BSC Computer Science
Age :37

My husband on the other hand is also an IT professional with over 8 years work experience. He, however left his salary job and started his personal IT company about 4 years ago.
He is officially 42 years old.
We have 2 kids

Now my questions are:
1) Who stands a better chance of getting a PR?
2) is my work experience as system administrator still valid?

Thank you so much
