Bin the lot of them. Even in a vacuum their squad is rubbish but in a more specific sense they don’t have what we need (CM, CF, LW, LB).

We need CMs that can come and improve us now. Bergvall and Gray have potential but are still too young. The rest are ass.

We need a CF to compete with Sesko and their strikers do not score goals.

If we play Dorgu as a LB and want someone pacy and direct to compete with Cunha they have no LWF.

Their flashy CBs are majorly culpable for their troubles due to a combination of fitness problems, red cards, bone headed decision making.

Yeah any player we buy must pass the athleticism test but he must also pass the 1st touch and technique test.

Exactly, the fact that he has only 1yr left on his contract and coming from a small Serie A club means he should not go for more than £35-40m so if it’s €45m it’s not that bad as a fee as long as the player is fit for purpose. He is an 8 not a 6 so if we get him we have to buy a starting 6 and a rotation 6 as well.


* I prefer EPL proven Mateus Fernandes to him. He won’t cost too much if West Ham get relegated. I will watch more clips and analyses of Ederson.

They always produce midfielders. Their golden generation was built on midfield play (Luis Figo, Rui Costa, Joao Pinto, Paulo Sousa) and struggled until Pauleta, Nuno Gomes and at the tail end CR7 joined the party.

Like I have said I have not really seen him play but better than Ugarte is not good enough reason to buy a player. That is how we got to the point of moving 1 step forward and 1 step backward.

If you tell me that he is good enough in his own right to play and contribute well towards Man Utd winning the league, that’s a different matter. There are many players better than Ugarte that are still not Man Utd quality.


I am hearing 45-50m pounds. Unless INEOS are going to splurge this season 50m pounds is not a little risk.

I guess it just depends on what the club sees Dorgu as. If he is LB squad option then we need to buy a LW to compete with Cunha.

Nice to see everyone acknowledging the need to improve the squad. Players like Zirkzee, Ugarte, Malacia should not even be in the squad at all.

Hopefully Amad and Mbeumo are just going through a temporary bad patch and Ballon Dorgu is just rusty. Having said that we need at least 1 more attacker next season ( a CF to compete with Sesko).

Most of the work needed is in midfield and defence.

They are very different players.

Jack the one historically better rated is a left footed AM. Good technique, good passing range but slow and not tenacious.

Tyler is a right footed CM/CDM who is more athletic and tenacious but does not have the natural technical ability of Jack.

I said it here sometime ago that Tyler despite his inferior technique might cope better with senior football because of his physical traits. He is the one that has been making the 1st team bench lately rather than Jack.

Jack’s lack of mobility might be a big problem for him. Even Tyler is not so sure. There are 4 or 5 midfielders in the academy/reserves that are naturally more talented.

I think you are not profiling this guy right.
From the clips, reports, and the analytical websites he is a CM/DM who mainly plays CM. He is not a Bruno replacement.

That is if without having doubts about his ability to thrive in the EPL.

He is more of a Kobbie competitor.
