He is with the Under-21s and doing well from the reports. He has scored a few goals this preseason. I think he is going on loan. Many clubs are interested. It’s about choosing the right club for him.

Kukonki and Noah Ajayi are the ones that concerns have been raised about their longterm future with the club.

Coaches have different reasons for integrating different players into a team from an academy into the first team. It may not be visible to fans who are probably rooting for their favourites for aesthetic reasons.
At times certain players are introduced for specific reasons.

Nobody said academy players will dislodge first team players but that amongst the academy players some have shown more talent and performed better than the Fletchers and should be given at least equal opportunity.

Amass was our best academy LB L which is why fans were in support. Chido Obi has obvious potential and impressed in the academy as well more than his peers in the same position.

In the case of the Fletchers there are other players in the academy who are as good or better who are not getting opportunities like them. That is the issue people have.
Very soon those guys not getting opportunities will clock 20-21 and will no longer be viewed as prospects and would have lost their chance to the Fletchers.

Unfortunately,we did not witness the same standard of scrutiny applied last season on academy players like Chido Obi and Harry Amass. Rather the narrative being pushed on these pages were that they are kids and fresh from the academy.
As for the guy who has never seen anything good in Dorgu? The less said the better but it becomes irritating after a while.

What Leyqute is saying is this; Chido Obi and Amass were by far the best academy players in their position at the time so fans who follow the academy were okay with them having the period of adaptation.

For the Fletchers, there are some players who most of the fans that follow the academy believe are better who are not getting these chances. It is not just about the Fletchers struggling but who they are blocking.

That is the grouse that many fans have with playing them. It appears they are collecting opportunities from other academy prospects. Their poor performance with the senior team is just the extra confirmation for people’s concerns.

He is good in possession and progressive passing but he is still suspect in terms of positioning and 1v1 defending.
His wing was leaking like a basket in that 2nd half and was staining Armer’s white.

We need to extend his contract and loan him out for this season OR sell him with a buy back clause.

As per the LB position we need to go into the market and buy a 1st choice LB and move Shaw to backup.

Carrick seems to be playing a totally different system. Dorgu and Amad are inverting, almost as AMs and LM and RMs. Zirkzee and Mbeumo are on the wings sometimes. The constant rotation is doing my eyes gizzgizz

Yes it is more fluid. Having players with a decent technical floor makes it possible.

The 2 of them have been playing.

This one is the right footed more defensive minded one (No 6 or No . The other one is left footed and more of a CAM although he has played RW in this preseason.

This right footed one has been better in senior football although the left footed one was rated more highly in the academy.

They are both decent players but are stealing these preseason minutes from more deserving academy players IMO.

Godwill Kukonki seems to definitely be leaving the club this summer. Possibility that Noah Ajayi leaves too although we are trying to keep him.

I believe he is going to play with the Under-21s this season.

He has already played with them this preseason and the reports are that he was impressive. He is one that I don’t think will struggle with the physicality of senior football like Kone. The only question will be how good he is as a footballer.

Not really. He stated that the price might not look that high but it is high for Nigeria. That 1 dollar per litre hits differently in Naija.

Dollar price of fuel in UK is about 2 times dollar price in Nigeria but UK minimum wage is about 50 times Nigeria’s minimum wage.

Afrodoc. Not even Noah Ajayi alone. We have several wingers in the academy who aren’t bad. Maybe physicality is high on the criteria of our scouts.

On that left wing Noah is the only one who is near his age that has the potential to make it here. That is if we assume JJ is a CAM at senior level.

They must really rate the Thompson boy and Spurs fans were lamenting when he signed so hopefully he proves the club right.

We still have Ibragimov and co to look up to. They should send Toby Collyer on loan to a club where he’ll get more minutes. He has what it takes to be a PL footballer.

I think Collyer needs to be sold for his own good. He is no longer a boy but a 22yr old man.
Most teams won’t give him the regular developmental minutes he desperately needs now in order to develop if he is only loan.

Same with Dan Gore especially if we get another senior CM.

They need to move on and play serious minutes. Gore has missed about 2 years of football in the past 3 years.

I foresee a large exodus in the incoming weeks. Moorhouse, Ethan Williams, Finley McAllister etc.

I hear that Kukonki might leave as well. He is a left sided CB by nature but has mainly played LB because Armer who is only a few months older is rated above him at LCB and they both have Ayden Heaven who is only 1yr older rated above them in the same LCB position.
