Here, public transport and truck drivers have to be seizure-free for 10 years before they can get a license.

I think he didnt get a drivers license too because of the condition

In most places the person has to be properly medicated and seizure-free for a certain number of months to years to get it. He/she also has to have regular medical reviews.

You see, a lot of the head trauma that leads to epilepsy in the future, usually occur during childhood. Do you know how many times children fall, hit their heads, can’t describe what happened but move on like nothing? Infact, we were told stand up and be a man, meanwhile your head don suffer serious vibration.

Many suffered unresolved/ undiagnosed concussions during childhood which is worse because the skull and the brain are still developing. Also there is a misconception that seizures are only Grand mal. Blank stares, rapid eye movement constitute other forms of seizure. In some instances, it is best to avoid triggers like right lights, loud/ sharp noise if they are unprovoked.

Very true. Anybody who has had a significant head injury is at a risk of epilepsy in the future. Traumatic brain injury lowers the seizure threshold, and the first seizure might be a month after the injury, and it might also take 10 or more years to manifest.

You are also right that seizures go beyond the generalized tonic-clonic type, and the other types are grossly underreported.

Hehehe. I think you were the one i was warning about Onana after that final. Watching him from afar i always knew he was erratic but couldn't identify the reason but having watched closely in the past 12 months i now know why. He does not have the foundational skills of a goalkeeper:

1) His positioning is poor.

2) His timing is way off. This is why he is often still setting his feet when the ball passes him. Also, partly responsible for his struggles coming for aerial balls.

3) He is not agile. It takes him ages to get down for shots close to his body.


4) He does not have great leaping ability, meaning he struggles with shots far from his body.

5) His hands are soft like fufu which is why it looks like he is using boxing gloves and can't get any distance on his punches.

Like Mount and Antony, there is no hope for him at this club.

Unfortunately, there is no hard evidence that anything can be done to prevent post-traumatic epilepsy. The best thing is to prevent the head injury in the first place, because after the injury the one that will lead to Epilepsy will lead to Epilepsy.

Prevention of head injury by wearing helmets and using seat belts is the key. Sadly, Nigerians are allergic to wearing helmets.

N.B Post-traumatic epilepsy is not exactly the same as an acute post-traumatic seizure.

Meanwhile. Onana should just retire. Goalkeeping is not his calling.

Remember INEOS had to put their own together first. Ashworth didn't happen until later around June when the likes of Flick had already gone to Barca. Berrada too was on a gardening leave and started work beginning of July. They talked to Tuchel but a deal couldn't materialise.

As for ETH they didn't give him a new contract per se, just an extension by a year. I think he'll be gone cos Berrarda who came from the standards at City won't keep up with the mess.

To be honest they should have done that during the protracted negotiation period last season, even before they bought the club. Maybe because many of them were still in other jobs sha, but then why extend his contract.

Around Feb/March last season when they finally took over i was expecting Nagelsmann, Flick, or De Zerbi to get the job. The way it is looking now, only De Zerbi remains as an option out of the 3. Berarda and Ashworth need to earn their pay now and get someone that can take us back to winning ways.

And yes, we should have let Casemiro go. At this stage in his career, he is a liability both on and off the ball. His defensive instinct and positioning are still good, but all the other aspects of his game are off point.

I said on the bench atleast to understudy the senior players and gaining first team experience. I am not expecting him to start games for now but atleast it won't be bad having on the bench till Shaw and Malacia get their leave break from Carrington Clinic.

What if he is not ready? I am just saying that the Rico Lewis that you mentioned was not even making Man City bench at this same age, so it is not a good example.
If he is not ready it is better for him to get minutes with the Under-21s rather than rotting on the senior bench. Defense is not like midfield or attack where you can just throw a young player in when not ready. A brief cameo against Salah or Saka can wreck his confidence.

Rico Lewis and Amass are not the same player. Also Rico Lewis is 2.5 yrs older than Amass. At Amass current age Rico Lewis had not started making Man City bench, and that is despite the fact that his job would have been easier defending for a dominant team like City.

Putting a young defender on the pitch when he is not ready can destroy his confidence irreparably.

I mean at the end of last season when they had the talks with him to decide on whether to sack him or not. They must have asked him about the major decisions taken during his tenure, and none was more egregious than that Antony deal. Everybody involved in that deal has been sacked apart from ETH.

I disagree. The best way to get the best from Bruno is to play him further in attack and make another player do the dirty work Bruno is currently doing. I might be wrong but play Bruno ad a 9.5,bring in a playmaker who could dictate the tempo of the game. That way Bruno would score and assist lots

well, I'm glad he cares about football. Let's see what their decision would be this season cuz I'm tired of Eth tactics.

If one breaks it down, there is nothing I can say that ETH excels at.

He does not have good talent ID which means he tries to buy the wrong players.

He often selects the wrong starting line up from his squad, probably still due to poor talent ID.

His team struggles to exhibit successful patterns of play suggesting that his training methods are not adequate.

His substitutions are often puzzling, suggesting poor in game management.

He can’t identify talent, he does not train players well, he is not a great tactician.

I keep saying INEOS should have fired him after the Antony and Mount debacle. I want to see the minutes of the meeting where he explained to INEOS what he saw in Antony to warrant that transfer and the fee.

Case is just too loose with the ball in that midfield. He has been like that since he came, and now that his legs are gone he can't correct his mistake.
He either takes too long on the ball and gets caught in possession or he hurries the pass and gives it away cheaply. Our CDM should not be that generous with the ball to the opponent. I would start Collyer in the next game if Ugarte is not yet match fit.
