It is about how much money we have to spend and how that will impact our priorities. We have other areas that are more in need improvement.
With Mbeumo, Amad, Lacey i think we will have to make them work for next season.

Unless we have 400m-500m to spend like Liverpool we should focus on rebuilding the midfield (minimum 3 top quality CMs), an alternative CF. and (depending on where Dorgu plays) either LB or LB.

We really dominated with Brighton in that 2nd half. With a successful transfer window, we can do something really good next season.

I can say van Der ven maybe but they certainly will be even more comical and expect some major fee for his release.

van Den has pace but he has a dodgy hamstring ( 6 separate thigh injuries in the past 4 years) and other aspects of his defending apart from pace are questionable.

Portugal does not produce great strikers like that. In their whole history it is CR7, Eusebio, and maybe Pauleta........and that's it.

Maybe as a last bench option when the team is defending a lead late in the game. He forces the team to play and defend in a certain way because of his lack of mobility. You can't consistently dominate possession and play with a highline against good teams if he is in your backline.

If Carrick is who the club thinks he is and he is backed properly we can win within the next couple of seasons.

We don't have a senior CB without question mark. Too small, too slow, can't play high line, never fit. Quantity but no quality. The FBs have question marks, but we probably need to persevere with them for now.

Also, Casemiro and Bruno/Mainoo do not offer the best protection for the defence. We need mobility and intensity in those CM positions.
