patrickmuf: I thought they said we have a budget of around £200m. We have spent a little over 100m and we have made over 50m in player sales so, spending another 100-150m should be well within our means.
Ugarte and Zubimendi won't cost more than £100m which is quite fair. McTom, Casemiro and Erikson should fetch us close to £60m.
One of Maguire/Lindelöf will be sold which should also bring in £25m or something close to it. We made over 50m in sales? |

TrebleChamp: Who would you prefer? Apart from clips i have not seen much of either of them so i can't speak to their quality, but stylistically i prefer a Zubimendi type of player to an Ugarte type. From the clips i watched Ugarte seems to be tenacious off the ball and similar to Ander Herrera but that is not good enough on the ball for me. There is also the consideration that he moved to PSG for big money and struggled last season which is why PSG want to offload him to buy Joao Neves. I didn't even watch the Spain vs England match that got people talking about Zubimendi. It is all fun and games when your team has all the possession, and you are given the time and space to play Alcantara-style idea ball, however I don't know how good he is when his team does not have the ball and when he has to cover open donut-shaped spaces in midfield. |

patrickmuf: If McTom, Casemiro and Erikson leave, then we will need to sign 2 midfielders.
I am still expecting Saudi Arabia to come calling for Bruno. I am suspecting it would be one of Ugarte or Zubimendi cos each one will be relatively expensive. I don't think we will spend big money on 2 midfielders, especially if we still aim to get De Ligt or Branthwaite. |

TrebleChamp: Ugarte will be the better signing for United, but if they sign both we move... We are not signing both. It’s either Ugarte or Zubimendi. |

Jodera: No ooo... That's Nwaneri(a midfielder) or maybe you meant Duberry who most of us wants him deputize Saka.
But this one is Chido Obi, our Skillful Haaland that have been terrorizing the academy, tho he's just 16yrs old(I dunno if 16yrz is "just" nowadays )
He once scored 10 goals in a 14-3 win against Liverpool (in u-18). Scored 7goals against I think Norwich or West Ham(either U-17 or u-18). And he scored a couple of 4goals. All these happened just last season oo. We bought him from a Danish club two years ago.
Because of these exploits, Bayern, Dortmund and now Man u no wan let our pikin rest Cozier-Duberry has already left you guys to go join Brighton. Chido Obi seems set to leave as well. The only question is where he is headed. |

oliverano: 16 year old Rooney was fire. If you watched him in 004, you won't be saying this lol.
If he wasn't injured, May be, just may be England would've defeated Portugal then go on to beat Greece in the final. Rooney was that good at 16.
Too many ifs on 16 year old Rooney but he was that good and edges yamal at 16 in my opinion. But the fact that yamal actually won the whole thing is something to write home about. He's very good too.
Football is a team sports so anything can happen. Rooney was over 18yr at Euro 2004. He was probably as good as Yamal as a 16yr old, but the evidence is scanty as Everton didn't really give him minutes until he was nearly 17. |

patrickmuf: I was particular about how he receives the ball from the CBs and goalie, his passing and positioning.
His positioning helps him intercept a lot of balls, I feel that is one of his strongest points. Then, his tackling is also very good. His passing and turn on the ball is good but can be improved on which is very possible as he is still very young. We will see if we eventually sign him. Hopefully he is able to cope. The pace of the English league sometimes exposes people's weakness on the ball in a surprising way. An example is Amrabat. |

patrickmuf: I have taken time to watch clips of Ugarte. One thing I noticed which is at odds with what has been said about him is that his passing is underrated with his tackling catching the eye first. Ugarte is very much in the mould of an old-school but in a team that keeps the ball, he can very much hold his own...
He will be a very fantastic signing... I have not really watched him but depending on clips is usually dangerous. |

I am reading that the Yoro fee is actually 52m (60m euro) pounds plus another 7m pounds in addons. That is actually steep for an 18yr old CB with very little experience. |

He won’t cost above 60
Although not a hard tackler he’s a work horse who can do just about anything
Then there mikel merino he won’t cost above 40 Also a work horse
Zubimendi there’s too Zubimendi might be a good option. He is a proper 6 who can use the ball and will not be expensive. Fabian Ruiz and Merino seem to be more of 8s. |

patrickmuf: Our interest in Ugarte seems to have cooled. We need to sign another CB, LB and RB (If AWB leaves). I hear that Ugarte is limited on the ball. We need someone who is not only a defensive beast but also able to pass out from deep positions. |

Shaw too needs to be moved on but I doubt that's happening. Shaw is not moving on anytime soon. Amass is not ready and there are rumors that Malacia's knee injury is career threatening. Apparently, he rejected the club's choice of surgeon and went with his own option, and the knee was butchered. He is back in individual training but there are concerns he won't get back to his previous level. |

Pegasus01: I'd chalk the fee up to the age and his prospect. Probably more of the potential he has than performances he has shown so far. But I wouldn't know, it's clips that most of us have to go by. He seems to be the most favored option out of the list United has been active with tho.
-Yoro -De Ligt -Evertons Jarod Yes. It is more to do with his potential. Even the performances so far look impressive ON PAPER. He has been playing topflight football as a CB in the breeding ground of elite CBs since he was 16. |

Left for me, the club should have backed out when it became obvious he preferred Madrid unless it was all stories cooked up by the media. He definitely preferred Madrid. I don't care if he moves to Madrid in 4 years because that would mean he has been excellent for us, and hopefully helped us win titles. Madrid would not come for him in 4 years if he has been poor. |
