For real. I remember how one obedient fellow almost fought with me in real life because I spoke against the policy due to the hardship it was causing. They all supported this heartless policy because they thought it will make their candidate win. They even briefly started praising buhari sef.

Let them continue to support it since it has stopped rigging, vote buying and is also affecting politicians. My dad is a politician at the lga and state level,I can tell you for free that since the beginning of this policy it isn't affecting him as much as it is affecting me here. And he is not a heavy weight politician. How sane minds thought this policy is actually doing shit to heavy weight politicians because they were complaining about it,is a thing to study.

The idea behind the policy is good. Infact I even supported it initially, but the method of implementation is very wrong. Everybody knows this fact, but some people are ready to support anything as long as it favours their candidate.
Na laughter and smiling emoji full here that time.
Laughter and smiling emoji while their fellow citizens were going to bed hungry and people could not seek medical care because of lack of cash.

Their nightly dreams of Obi winning the election eroded their humanity that time.

The only reason Sanwo-Olu is suddenly working this hard is because he knows the election is not sure.

Oasis your confidence might be misplaced in this one.

It’s not always about suing but about proving the case in court . If it can be proven there have been complaints about the driver’s recklessness in the past and nothing was done, then the employer is surely liable .

However if there’s never been any official complaint about the driver to the employers by co-employees who are victim; the employer will alwasy stick to the defence of “frolic” . That’s the point .
I don’t think you are right. The complaints only strengthen the case, lack of complaints does not negate it.
If you are carrying out duties in an official capacity your employers will usually share culpability in any mistakes you make. This happens with policemen, doctors in big hospitals, pilots etc.

Of course we are talking about in a civilised society. Not necessarily the Nigerian jungle.

No organization instructs its staff not to bey simple traffic rule . The driver will certainly go to jail if it’s confined he doesn’t have any mental issues and the government will if it’s own freewill compensate the victims .

Suing the state government is a waste of time and resources . E clear
That may be only cos in Nigeria rule of law is optional. Normally the state government is liable for his actions, especially when countless witnesses start popping up detailing the numerous times they made complaints about this driver.

In sane societies the employers of the driver will be sued for civil damages and they will have to cough out millions, while the driver himself will face criminal charges and go to jail for a long time.

It is not a laughing matter o. I have seen the light. When an evil abroadian like me was lamenting a few weeks ago about how the timing and implementation of that policy was costing people their homes, health , and even their lives the knowledgeable people back home set me straight.
It is all for a just cause. Look at the big picture.

Ten Hag should start Pellestri ahead of Antony make we check something, he can bring in the dancer at half time if Pellestri struggles in the game. I don't think he will do worse than Poco Lee...
He can start Pellistri in the 2nd leg against Betis. Firstly, we should be able to progress even with a slightly weakened squad and/or a small loss. Secondly, he is used to playing Spanish teams.

Start Antony in this game and if early in the second half we are cruising or if Antony is struggling you can give Pellistri 25-30 mins of action.

Wike rigging Rivers so blatantly is the reason why PO is heading to court with full chest because the evidences are so raw.

In reality, there was no need for APC to win Rivers. If LP had won, there would be not enough open evidences of rigging to push for a case. But now, Wike's actions has led to the checking of all the PU in the country.

So Wike is the cause of the headache Tinubu has now.
1000 percent. Wike is the type of person to wear high-heeled shoes to sneak out of hostel at night.

But the truth of the matter is that Wike was less interested in delivering Rivers state to the APC and more interested in demonstrating his lordship over Rivers state.

It is only the obidients who do not recognise electoral mathematics. Obi knows the game he is playing because he is a Nigerian politician and he knows he had no path. Any politician who watched Buhari struggle 3 times while clearing his defined strongholds knows obi had no path to victory.
The delusion is strong in them.

Did you read the complete thread or just the headline?

https://www.nairaland.com/7606805/wike-peter-obi-hero-election

Nyesom Wike has described Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, as the hero of the 2023 presidential election for scuttling the chances of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, thereby preventing North from holding on to power.

Wike, addressing a cluster of Rivers state traders associations Saturday in Port Harcourt, said, “Obi is my hero. If Obi did not contest, power would have gone back to the North. The whole of South-South and South-East that PDP lost if Obi did not contest PDP would have won.”
There are some delusional people who still believe Obi coming out as a 3rd party candidate had no effect on the election.
The ones telling us that Tinubu would have won SE if Obi had not contested. grin

The annoying thing be say their ogas no dey always step-in for this kind issue . One would’ve expected them to just step-in, punish the persons of interest , but they won’t . The boys will end up taking laws into their hands
The Army has what seems to be an unofficial rule. They almost always allow the boys to vent and get their revenge.
Possibly because you don’t want to go to a battlefield with boys that are beefing you because you didn’t allow them to avenge the infringement of a “bloody” civilian.

Remember to add that healthcare is a very expensive business. So, for people to demand decent healthcare at a subsidised rate means they will have to pay more in taxes.

You can't eat your cake and still have it on your palm. cool
Oh definitely.

Taxation has to be expanded and properly regulated. Corruption too has to be tackled.

I think this healthcare thing is so important because it is actually shortchanging many Nigerians of 10 to 20 or more years on earth.

Then the government has to regulate all those cottage clinics and hospitals, some of which have become nearly as deadly as a World War 1 battlefield.
