The one who could have been the greatest ever, but for the fatal Munich plane crash...
Yup.
Duncan Edwards and Tommy Taylor were the 2 biggest losses from that crash in terms of footballing ability.

Charlton (and several others) has always said that Duncan Edwards was better than him, and that is saying a lot since Charlton ended up being the GOAT of English players.

b) Eden Hazard
Are you sure?

Hazard is a Spain-based forward o, while Militao is a defender and both Rashford and Haaland are not based in Spain at all.

How could all 3 of them have scored more goals in Spain than Hazard?

Is that your final answer?

Eden Hazard

Now time for giveaway
You might not be right. Eder Militao is a defender, and both Rashford and Haaland don’t play in Spain.

I won’t announce the correct answer until there are 10 correct answers.

a) Marcus Rashford

b) Eden Hazard

c) Erling Haaland

d) Eder Militao

You can do 50/50, call a friend, or ask the audience.

Yeah i was probably thinking more of Tommy Taylor, Dennis Viollet, or Duncan Edwards BUT yeah, Phil Jones is not a bad shout.

The team would require a doctor after all.

I didn't mention him because I dont know who was going to come off for him grin
Scholes.

Move Charlton to midfield to partner Keane.

C.Ronaldo and Best on the wings. Rooney and Cantona in attack.

DDG, Robson, Scholes, Giggs, Law, Becks, Stam, Evra on the bench.

I am sure I am forgetting someone else. Lol

KingTom:
Very serious, although I'm wondering who gets off for him to come on
It depends on the line up. Probably Scholes or Cantona.

Best, Charlton, Ronaldo are untouchable.

You can have a midfield of Keane and Charlton.

Then C.Ronaldo on the left, Best on the right, Rooney and Cantona in attack.

The person who has the strongest case of being overlooked because of the weak teams he played in is Bryan Robson.

In his defence, DDG has not played even a quarter of the time Schmeichel has with a good team. The last time DDG played with a proper team and coach was 2013.
Yes that’s a good defence but it is no guarantee.
We can only go by what you have done NOT what you might have done, or else if we are not careful McTominay will use the same argument to bounce Scholes from the list. grin

maik99:
C.Ronaldo is a definite?
Yeah. He didn’t play only these last couple of years.

He was the best player in a team that won 3 straight league titles, went to 2 straight champions league finals , and won 1. Plus he won the Ballon d’Or doing it.

The list can’t just be a longevity thing. We have to consider peak levels as well. C.Ronaldo’s 06-09 can compare favourably with almost any other peak in the club’s history and he won loads of titles while doing it.

Cantona no get UCL too
Cantona was a key (if not the key) player in multiple league winning teams but I agree his position on that list is not infallible. Dennis Law definitely and maybe even RVN have an argument.

Scholes can be taken off for Charlton to slot into midfield and then you can bring Giggs on to the wing.

The only definite on the list are Keane, Charlton, Best, and C.Ronaldo.

At this point, isn't it safe to say the DDG has surpassed Schmeichel?
It is not and he has not. All he has is longevity.

He does not have the dominance. He does not have the number of league titles. He does not have the Champions League.

It took DDG almost double the time to equal Schmeichel’s clean sheets record.

well, now that netflix and amazon are boosting our movie industry, we may get them

though the source material is very sparse. but if the hobbit a 300 page book could be magically fleshed into three movies - with the last movie being material that simply did not exist - they can do it with malam ilia

maybe also the boy slave and the return of shetimma.
There is enough material in The Passport of Mallam Ilia. The extent of time it covers and the distances and different locations, and the theme itself makes it easily doable.

Once you add great dialogue and spend a little time on character development you have a movie or miniseries sef.

Only a full fledged series will do justice to The Boy Slave and The Return of Shettima.
