Grab your point Doc but you can't give what you don't have. AWB is limited offensively. Dude needs time to think on the ball or dance Antilongo while attempting to dribble.

Dalot is weak defensively but seems a System Player, which possibly gonna cover his weakness. He's gonna perform exceptionally well under Rangnick, same as Telles over Shaw.

Dalot is two footed, smart and gets eyes for Goal. He can whip crosses with joy like Mallam wey dey flog Madrasa Students at Agege.

For now..... Dalot over AWB. Possibly the latter gonna start tonight, let's see what he's bringing to the new System.

Let us see what he will do first. Even Maguire that is slow was able to play with a high line the other day without getting exposed.

It is a new system and the sample size is still too small for us to be hyping certain players and rubbishing others.

You guys should chill o. Dalot is still naive defensively. It only takes someone like Adama Traore or Saint Maximin catching him on a bad day for complaints to start.

We need to see AWB and Shaw play under this new system before we start crowning their replacements as the 2nd coming of Cafu.

I don't think so. Building squads is what Rangnick excels at, which is why i have been asking for him to be appointed DoF for a few years now. If he focuses on that and takes that responsibility off the hands of incompetent people AND we have a good manager like ten Hag in the dugout that is the best scenario.

I believe Cavani and CR7 gonna function well with that 4 - 2 - 2 - 2 Formation.

There are multiple options with the formation.

Depending on the quality of the opposition any 2 out of CR7, Cavani, Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, Elanga can be play in attack.
Any 2 out of Lingard, Sancho, Bruno, VDB, Amad can play in attacking midfield. Defensive midfield is where we don't have equivalent replacements.

The major issues this team still need to tackle are trying to play this way against big teams without being hammered and playing against low block/long ball teams that won't try to pass out from the back. That is the next major problem for Rangnick to solve.

Bruno sef should chop bench in the next match let VDB and Amad see road.

Every coach even the genius coaches with wonderful systems prefer players with quality. A player who relies fully on the system because of his own limitations will only take you so far.

A system player in Salah’s position for Liverpool will still do well but will never give you Salah’s output in that system.
Even great systems are better with talented players. Imagine how much better our team would be with prime Edgar Davids and Arturo Vidal instead of McFred.
