DeadPresidents: Really liked the year awards idea from the Gooners thread. Will drop my own take here
1. Best United player 2. Best Young player (youth players only) 3. Best goal 4. Best fan on this thread 5. Best troll (non-United fans) on this thread.
For me, I'll go with:
1. Has to be Edinson Cavani for me. The only one who has not been consistently terrible over spathes of time. The only argument against him is he keeps getting injured.
2. I'd go with Shola Shoretire. Hannibal was injured mostly.
3. Alex Telles strike against Young Boys. Timely and stylish too.
4. Oas.is007. Always kept us updated with training pics. Kudos
5. Nihilis.tjnr. The "Alain Devil-Maximin" quip was funny as a muthaf.
Y'all can add yours
My opinion
Best United Player for 2021 is DDG. He was the most consistent and has had been really good since about March/April. Contenders are Shaw who had a monster Jan-June but fell off the cliff thereafter and Cavani who was also good but had too many injuries for me.
Best Young player for 2021 is probably Shoretire with McNeill a close 2nd if you don't count those on loan. If you include those on loan it has to be Ethan Laird with Garner 2nd. Mejbri, Elanga, Amad had niggling injuries all year long. Mengi had a disastrous 2020-2021 season.
Best Goal is Greenwood against Leicester. Bruno's goals against Everton and Newcastle were also good.
Best Fan is probably Oa.sis007 with his regular updates.
Ibime: I watched the interview. The way I see it. Lukaku left Inter under a cloud with fans defacing his murals. He organised the interview to explain.
I see it like Drogba leaving Chelsea to Galatasaray under a cloud and giving interview to calm Chelsea fans.
He is stüpid for crying over spilt milk but I don't see it as malicious, just foolish. He had a lot to get off his chest to Inter fans who accused him of bailing on them, and he went about it the wrong way. He is a legend in Inter Milan and wants to maintain that status. A Roy Keane who leaves Manure to Celtic will always want to talk his heart that he never wanted to leave Manure, as will Ronaldo want to say he never wanted to leave Madrid. Whether he is foolish enough to say it and piss off Juve fans is another thing.
Lukaku? Inter Milan legend? After 2 years and 1 league title?
This explanation almost dey bad pass the interview.
DeadPresidents: Lukaku just decided to speak the truth. That dry gin club is a small club and don’t deserve any type of respect.
Imagine disgracing a club that brought him up as a teenager in that way. He obviously knows that they are a small and small minded club and decided to treat their phuck up in a commensurate mannner.
Lukaku that we know very well. Petulant flat track bully with inferior technique. Big body with small mind. I don’t want to say we told you so……….but we told you so.
Is he even following up with the Squad? He asked why Bailly was recalled like he ain't aware Lindelof contacted Covid and Varane is not fully fit yet to battle it out with those Rugby Players.
All that info is not important to him. He has a more important narrative to push. King of tunnel vision.
MRTA7: Donny should have his transfer request ready on the 1st of January because man utd is definitely not for him. With how awful our midfield has been and he still cannot get a game.
And it is a different manager o. The guy must be crap in training cos I no just understand.
patrickmuf: I had thought it was just a normal stomach disorder and set out for the usual medication but it got too serious yesterday as I was vomiting more of mucor (yellowish and whitish) that's when I went for a scan and the result revealed acute appendicitis...
Past few days has been tough, my mum was diagnosed with partial stroke only two days ago. I am just happy that my operation was a success and my mum is responding to treatment...
Hmmm. I wish both of you healing. You are lucky the ultrasound picked it up because ultrasound is notoriously poor when it comes to diagnosing appendicitis.
