Yeah very true. I mentioned Phillips cos he is good quality and plays in an area of need for us. Rafinha is their other quality player. Most of the rest are system players.

Under ideal Circumstances, Mctom should only ne coming in at the 90th minute to see out a 3-0 lead - some form of game management.

Cleverley had better technique and showed better promise in the youth team. What killed Cleverley was the adulation that Xavi was getting which made him go crazy about possession football and led to his conversion to "Sideways Cleverley".

The major reason McTom was picked out from the youth set up was because Mourinho loved big and physical players. There was nothing that made him standout in that youth set apart from his height and the only way he even got into the first 11 regularly was playing CF not in midfield.
Kudos to him though, through desperate hard work and determination he has been serviceable at times. Who knows he might actually improve with good coaching. I think all the players should have a clean slate and let us see how they will perform with this current system. I won't be shocked if Shaw (and maybe even AWB) that everybody is abusing now reclaim their starting spots, after all we are yet to see them play in the current system.

Keep both until end of the season at least. There will be many injuries with the switch to gegenpress using players that didn't have gegenpress-specific pre-season.

We need a better technical player in central midfield. VDB coming on for McTom early in the 2nd half won't be a bad idea.

Then either Greenwood or Elanga can come on for Rashford sometime in the 2nd half too.

RB: AWB, Dalot. If that is not enough we can recall Laird in Jan
LB: Shaw, Telles. If push comes to shove Alvaro Fernandes can get a few minutes as well

CB: Maguire, Varane, Lindelof, Bailly. Dr Jones is back as well. We can recall Tuanzebe or give Mengi a few minutes.

9-12 defenders should be enough.

We need a CDM but then again that is not news.

Squad rotation is key to prevent accumulation of injuries.

Players like VDB, Telles, Dalot, Lingard, Bailly, Greenwood, Amad, Elanga, Mejbri, Martial will have to get significant minutes to reduce to load on the starting 11.

The trick is to rotate intelligently and not weaken the team in too many places at the same time.

2.. The stamp on Fred on de gea. Fred is a man u player and not an arsenal player, so that was the main reason why the goal was given. If arsenal player had done the foul, it would have definitely be canceled

3.. This is var era. The ref had already put the whistle in the mouth but refrained from blowing it till after the ball had hit the back of the net. This is to allow var to check it and give the correct decision. It's just like the new offside rule that a ref will see a player in an offside position but won't blow the whistle until the player either scores the goal or put it out of play. Once that happens, var would be the one to checkor the ref himself to see if the decision is right or wrong. This is to avoid human errors whereby a player who wasn't in an offside position but deemed offside won't be hard done by.

Even in VAR Era the ref usually stops the game immediately an outfield player has a head injury OR immediately a goalkeeper has an injury of any sort.
Who injured who is not usually taken into consideration. Most refs would have blown the whistle BEFORE the ball crossed the line immediately they saw the keeper down.

Most refs that is apart, from a known anti-Man Utd Leeds-raised man like Atkinson. Even clear penalty that happened right in front of him he waved play on until VAR forced him to have look. But then again you guys only collate list of pro-United refs.
