One of our best 2nd half performances.
It was mainly because Palace ran out of steam because of their midweek game. The 2nd half performance does not suggest anything.

Afrodoc2, do you reckon Lacey is ready for some first-team action or is he just on the bench to complete the number?
He is ready for some minutes here and there, but the team is so dysfunctional. He was injured for most of the 20 months prior to this season so he lost developmental time plus he is not the biggest or fastest. He will get minutes before AFCON starts cos during AFCON we might need to regularly call on him from the bench.

The federal government of Nigeria should give Fulani ethnic militias (Bandits) amnesty and money like Niger Delta militants - Arewa consultative forum leader

They have finally come out to make the illogical demand of requesting amnesty for Fulani terrorists by equating them with the Niger delta militants .
I think I said it earlier that this was one of core reasons behind their stance.

They are very brainless. Very similar to those who were angry that Nnamdi Kanu got convicted. They are happy to allow their region get destroyed just because of some misguided pursuit of equity and justice.

Kindly Who would you suggest we get as Interim Manager till the end of the season? I don't think any top Manager will leave their Club to join United on a permanent basis mid season.
There are people within the club paid to research and know such things but Motta, Xavi, Allegri are currently clubless.

I would even consider Carrick with the understanding that it is definitely temporary even if he wins 1000 games by the end of the season.

After the World Cup we go for Nagelsmann who has always been my No 1 choice.

Reason why i put the condition, him and the former pampering of players led to the high level of indiscipline we saw from some players. If he can be very strict like his boss SAF, he could become a good manager. I believe he will do well as interim Manager till the end of the season.
Forget condition. Condition can’t change a man’s nature. His nature is to pamper and cajole his players. Get someone that does not need condition.

We like hampering ourselves for no reason. Martinez, short kutumpu CB with no pace. People are saying they should convert him to CM/DM. Why not buy a tall. quick CB that is fit for purpose and a proper, natural CM?

Ugarte, professional slider and tackler with zero ability on the ball. People wanted us to buy a player for him to come and help him with passing and possession. Why not buy a single player that can pass and tackle.

Ole. Better tactically than Amorim according to you, but can’t enforce discipline. You want us to get him but give him conditions when there are surely managers out there that are good tactically and also good with discipline.

The board should sack this fraud and bring OGS back as interim Manager till the end of the season, on the condition that he becomes a disciplined Manager and not pamper players like he did them Trashford, Ice Cold, J.blingz, Greenwood and Dablord. Ole is a better tactical Manager than Amorim, and might cook better with our current front line in his 4231 system.
You started well and ended woefully.

Bring Ole for what?
Ole's pampering is what laid the foundation for this generation of untitled players. Of course, Woodward and co had a role to play as well.

Our managers before Ole were strict disciplinarians. If we bring him back, we will just go on another 5-year cycle of trying to eliminate spoilt brats from the team.

Had this experience 2 days ago. I was off work and visited some luxury brand stores (Burberry, LV, Gucci, Versace, Dior and Amiri) mostly out of curiosity. One jacket caught my eyes and I started looking for the price tag, no price tag o. hmmmm. Decided to ask the lady working there for the price and she said it's $6200 and asked if I wanted to try it on. Try it on keh? You want set me up? Madam abeg leave me o. Let us both respect ourself here.
You go try it on the thing go come tear for armpit. Na dat time we go come dey hear say Ade o gun.

The champagne store dey along a row of no-price-tag stores. I be wan enter cos some wrist watches dey shine inside even though i don already code say na ritualist money dem dey bill. As i turned to enter the store na him i see the fully dressed waiter with tray of champagne glasses, mehn i change direction like Formula One car.

One thing i noticed about those stores is that whenever you see a crowd of people inside, they are usually Chinese. Some kind of heavy liquid money dey inside that China wey people no recognize. Na dem dey buy all the expensive real estate as well thereby raising price level and pushing it out of the range of mere mortals.

There are 2 types of fashion stores one has to think twice about before entering.

1) The one that has few customers inside and none of the display items has a price tag

2) This one is very crucial. The one that has someone at the door serving complimentary champagne to customers as they go in……and no one is going in.

Thank You doc.

Concerning point number 3, I have predicament which is centered around location and close proximity to a good quality hospital.

We complained to our management about the quality of some of the hospitals our HMO provided to us in our different locations and the management proceeded to engage the HMO for a solution that works for all. The resolution was for them to make 2 hospital options available for us.

One of the hospitals is the one closest to our respective locations which may not be premium premium standard. Then the second hospital option is Evercare hospitals at Lekki which is a top premium hospital. which we are advised to make our primary healthcare provided.

Now the issue is most of us who live on the mainland see that traveling down to Lekki for an emergency treatment may not really work except what is wrong with u is not really really an emergency that requires urgent medical treatment.

Now we either spend time moving from mainland to Lekki to receive premium healthcare or we made do with the normal standard private hospitals in our respective locations.
Which HMO is that?

There are usually some good options on the Mainland around Ikeja, Surulere, FESTAC etc

If you have a chronic condition that requires you seeing the doctor 1-2 times yearly it’s better to use the premium hospital for that so that they know you and have your clinical records with them.

For minor ailments like malaria, common cold, sprained finger etc you can use a decent quality one hear your home.

If there is any emergency, you use whichever one your are closest to at that point, at least to stabilize until you can be transferred to your premium hospital.

But go to your HMO website and browse their hospital list. There are some premium hospitals on the mainland too.

Talking about Nigerian healthcare system, only God will save the common man from misdiagnosis and inadequate healthcare facility.

I have a relative who has been battling ulcer and spike in Sugar level for the past 4 to 5 years. She was advised on what to eat and what not to eat in order to manage her health condition while she was also placed on some drugs.

So, she relocated to the US last year December and after she got there, she still had reasons to be in and out of the hospital. A couple of months ago the doctors in the US made her undergo CT scan and they were surprised she never had ulcer which she has been treating from Nigeria.

The CT scan revealed she has Cyst in her pancreas and that all the symptoms she's been having that made Nigerian doctors diagnose ulcer was actually as a result of the cyst in her pancreas. When I heard this last night, I was really scared. I wonder how many people would've died from such misdiagnosis in this country.

@ Afrodoc , kingtom and other medical personnel in the house, is there anything one can do in this Nigeria to avoid such misdiagnosis that may put one's health in jeopardy?

1) You need to be rich.

2) You need to have good quality health insurance.

3) You need to pre-identify the good quality hospitals around where you live and where you work that you can access through the health insurance.

4) You need to ask your doctors questions. What is the diagnosis. How did they come about the diagnosis. What investigations could help in better assessing the problem.

5) Have a low threshold in asking your doctors to send you for appropriate investigations and to refer you to the appropriate specialists

6) Independently read about whatever the diagnosis you are given and read about other possible diagnoses that might explain your symptoms better than the diagnosis you are given i.e. differential diagnosis.

Empower yourself with knowledge. It is your life. If anything goes wrong, the doctor will be sad for a brief period and then move on.

Federal government bans open grazing in Nigeria

https://www.nairaland.com/8569144/nigerian-govt-bans-open-grazing

This what everyone expected Buhari to have done, but his nepositic and tribal filiation would not allow him take the bold step. He was just deferring to Miyetti Allah at the expense of people's lives

He was stupiidly suggesting RUGA expecting people to give out their own lands to livestock farmers.

Now Tinubu government is saying anybody that wants to do livestock farming should embrace ranching which is the way to go. This is commendable from Tinubu's government
1) They need to enforce it.

2) They need to resist the pushback and not reverse the decision.

In a year’s time we will know whether to really commend them.

There are some asiri that those in authority can't tell you, but their actions and utterances will reveal to you. The one revealed here is that the situation is completely, utterly, and totally out of their control and there is no solution in and out of sight. That is what the IGP just magnanimously revealed.

Think of it. How can you arrest and prosecute the kidnapper bandits of today after negotiating with and paying them off when you still have to UNFAILINGLY negotiate with and pay off the kidnapper bandits of tomorrow.
