BlueRayDick: Maybe he's been found out cos it seems he's lost 3 this season already We will see. He needs to put some more pace on the ball perhaps, or mix up his technique. After Bruno’s penalty was saved he started switching back n forth between hop approach and direct approach. |

BlueRayDick: I've always told a Chelsea supporter friend ; that nonsense Jorginho does with Penalty when he starts playing against a cool and calm goalkeeper he will regret it and it will most likely be in a match his team needs the goal badly. Jorginho has one of the best stats in football. The keeper saved it. It can happen to anyone. |

CapitalCee: Its true sha, no 2 people are same. For example, Aguero is done at 32. I know it might look like a too early judgement.
If we want to win anything at all, Martial must ve converted to an impact sub, thats why I wish we pull all stops and get Halaand. Mourinho's game pattern is very bad and criminal. But one thing you need to give to him is tge ability to spot lazy wasters like Pogba and Martial. And Dele Alli. JM is a good judge of character but not talent. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 5:00pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
Lana1: I dont disagree with squad depth. Squad depth is better now than it was last season. But good squad depth is one part of a title winning team. Having consistent performances is the 2nd part.
We have managed to convert most of those unnecessary defeats we suffered last season to wins and few draws this season and that's why we're deservedly in a title race. I just don't think we can win it like many people think.
We are far too inconsistent We don't have to win it. We just need to contend and be in the mix for it at the end of the season. That is what is meant by title contenders. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:57pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
CapitalCee: Vardy is 34 and starts games week in week out. Moreover, Martial is the one that was supposed to start that Everton LC game not Cavani. Start Martial or James in that game, bring in Cavani late on if need be, then start him today. This game is a bigger game than that Evertin game. How is this a rocket science for Ole.
Its very clear as day light that Cavani is far better than Martial as a footballer both in terms of ability, mentality and professionalism. Cavani is the one that is supposed to be involved more in league games nkt Martial All valid points but immediately Cavani started the Everton game it was a risk starting him today. And you can't compare Vardy to Cavani. No 2 people are the same and Vardy has not been struggling with muscle injuries for 2 years. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:45pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
CapitalCee: I dont have problems with Martial starting, but Cavani should have started ahead of James. You guys have to be careful about starting Cavani in successive matches close together. He has had muscle injuries for the last 2 years. Not bone or joint injuries but muscle injuries. Those are the ones that reoccur when there is fatigue and lack of fitness and also lack of rest in between games. If Amaka loads him too much he will be injured until the end of the season. We don't want that. |

CapitalCee: I mean teams can sign rubbish players at times by mistake, but how ole kept on playing him is a mystery. Even playing mata in that position or even VDB as an extra player would have been better. And this idea of playing a CB in RB position, Ole has to stop it.
As for those loud mouthed class of 92 abd co. They should stop recommending players for us. Amaka likes tweaking formations and positions, sometimes unnecessarily. To be fair though he has hardly played James this season. |

nitrogen: I did not conclude, I said it was a possibility. I was pulling your leg. Anyway IMO the buck stops with the manager in terms of choice of player but with the board in terms of choice of fee. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:26pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
Lana1: Yes all teams with their inconsistencies. But how many title contenders across Europe's top 5 leagues do you know presently that are inconsistent across two departments, defence and attack?
We look like we will concede every time teams have a run at us and our strikers can't bury easy chances. That is not how it works. League performance is about quality of the squad rather than just a few players or first 11, and we have a deep squad and so are more resistant to injuries and/or loss of form over the course of the season. For example Everton usually look toothless whenever Richarlison and/or James are absent, and every time Ndidi has a spell out injured Leicester's form dips. The only team that i rate ahead of us presently is Liverpool so if we can't be title contenders then that means only Liverpool is contending for the title this season. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:17pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
nitrogen: But it’s also possible for Amaka to put pressure on Woodie and his boys to get a player at any cost, until externalities that lead to financial difficulties prevent that. The way you jump to that conclusion you go win both high jump and long jump gold for Olympics. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:09pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
You guys are looking at our team only and are overly critical sometimes.
We are not the only team that is inconsistent. Actually every other team is inconsistent as well.........which is why we are still title contenders. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:04pm On Dec 26, 2020 |
Expert17: This is too much for Nitrogen.
Let me help, he asked them to sign Maguire at all cost Thank God Leicester no ask for 200m then. Amaka has his faults but buying Maguire for 80m and AWB for 50m no be part of them. That is why when we refused to pay Sancho's ridiculous transfer fee i did not praise Amaka, it was Woodward i praised. We can't praise Woodward for refusing to pay 120m for Sancho and then blame Amaka for paying 80m for Maguire. |
