Let's take a chill pill on this Rojo and his rabona hype. The whole defense was on holiday for most of this match and it was an easy game to form Roberto Carlos in. This was Lokomotiv Astana not Lokomotiv Moscow.

The main thing is that we rested 1st team players and still got the 3 points. Also i hope Ole is starting to identify the players that should be slowly but surely removed from the team. The days of Mata and Matic should be numbered by now.

Rojo na mad man though. cheesy

How would you rate the performances of the youths..
It was a tough night for them . I have said it before that the best thing is to introduce them one at a time and rotate their appearances until they mature better.

Three things worked against them: 1) Astana sitting deep and limiting space for most of the game 2) The incompetence of some of the more experienced players that were meant to help them 3) They (the young boys themselves) were too impatient and jittery on the night.

Having said all that it was only Chong who had a really bad game. Gomes was lively and intelligent and he showed that he at least deserves to be considered for a regular squad role at this time.

Greenwood is not really a winger and so found it difficult to get into the game but must of his control and touch was still okay, and of course he scored the all important goal.

How come no one is saying anything about that Rojo Rabona pass

Meanwhile I feel he should get more playing time
Rojo is a slowpoke. Rabona pass at 0-0 at Old Trafford. And in case you have forgotten the pass was intercepted.

I blame Pius for all this confusion he has thrown his supporters into. If only he had relaxed just a little on the muffins and cream biscuits.

I think they want to establish a case of fraud against them here in Nigeria first. An appeal has been filed in the US already.
Ok. They should not stop there. There are people who deserve to end behind bars in this case, and I am talking about Nigerians.

Naija will need to prove Yaradua was incapacitated to sign that contract.

First you have to convict them for fraud locally to establish their nature as fraudsters, casting reasonable doubt on how they got that signature.

Lol Ibime has been the only that has been completely fair and balanced here, although Skimple and Unlimited have started seeing the light slowly.

The temerity to compare that ambitionless twerker to his seniors.
You get the dream move to Madrid that you wanted all your life and you turn up overweight.

1) This is your dream move. You should be on your best behavior and try all you can to make it work.

2) It is Real Madrid. The people there expect excellence ALL THE TIME. They booed Raul, Ronaldo etc, but you still turn up looking like Michelin man.

3) You are essentially replacing Cristiano Ronaldo, but you couldn’t bother to put the work in.

The guy has little ambition, and his vision on the field is at the level of his ambition.
Body balance, dribbling, acceleration, twerking he has in abundance.

getting really scared about this season.
a new manager should have a smooth transition especially when taking over a big job like the United job.however from what i am seeing Moyes will have it really tough to start the season.
1)potentially Rooney,Vidic,Smalling,Young and Nani unfit
2)Rooney will he/wont he rumors not dying down
3)our preferred targets going to other clubs.if we lose Thiago and Strootman what other options are there out there? R we back to Fellaini and Baines? i am not sure we need Baines at the price quoted and Fellaini is not dynamic enough for me (would prefer Axel Witsel)

Greenwood, Gomes, Chong should all start. And I expect a couple others like Garner and Williams to be on the bench.

That is the way to show belief in youth while reducing the work load of the senior team.

Lol how can we drop our best player. As long as he is here we should try to utilize him for the good of the team.
I want him to play as part of 3 orthodox midfielders, not playing high up floating around and exposing the midfield and defence.

I am against using a 10 not against using Pogba.

Then Pogba at RCM with Fred at LCM
or Pereira at RCM with Pogba at LCM.

He's recovering well and I believe he will be ready before End of this Month. Perhaps OGS has him in the Plan, but definitely not as a RB in my Opinion.
He has not played DM for years now, and even years ago when he did it was just a few games here and there.

When he starts making mistakes while learning on the job with us in games will you fans cut him some slack. Or will they turn on him like they did on people before him.

Higher up, more or less like freedom to roam and coordinate the Team's play - linking Defence to Attack without much Passes.
That is a 10. He might shine individually but the team will suffer.

We need to control games better. We need 3 men in midfield to do that.

He's still young nah, and possibly might be useful as a CDM. He's pacy, energetic and not poor at tackling ad well.
This is the age in which players need to be playing regularly in order to improve. If he keeps hanging around getting a few minutes here n there for the next 2 seasons his career will never take off.
He needs to leave and start playing regular footy. The club can put a buy back clause or something.

Honestly I agree with you, but notwithstanding I want Pogba to play higher up.
We should be thinking of systems that work for the whole team not just looking for a system that will make one particular player shine.

We can only succeed with 3 central midfielders. I just don’t think playing with a 10 will work.

If playing higher up means playing as a 10 then it won’t work. And if Pogba can’t fit into an orthodox 3 man midfield then it’s better we sell him for good money and get replacements who can fit in.

TFM that spent the last 2-3yrs playing RB in different teams.
The best thing for him is to leave the club and save his own career. He needs to start afresh elsewhere. They have miseducated him enough.

The earlier we abandon this 10 system the better for us.
No serious team plays with 10 anymore. 10 is an outdated position.
We need 3 CMs or 1 DM and 2 CM. That is the way to strengthen our midfield.
We get exposed easily partly due to this system.
