the team finished the season before last on a GD of +15, Rashford was in mad form in front of goal, last season on a negative goal difference. by the end of Ten Hag's reign, the goal difference was still negative (-3) and 11 points from 9 games.
there's few evidence to suggest this is no relegation escaping group. you can't get points on board if you cannot score goals.
Ten Hag attempted to solve the goal scoring issues but didn't get in the right players, judging from hindsight. Amad could have helped a bit, he was ignored for whatever reasons.
the same scoring issues hasn't changed. I think the goalkeeping can still be managed for now.
needless to say, there needs to be a more realistic effort to address scoring and it can only be personnel.
if we end up signing yet another inexperienced striker like Delap to lead the line, nothing will change.
This squad is not a title winning squad and likely not even a top 4 squad, but they should not be just above relegation.

It is not just about not scoring. We have conceded more than Everton, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Bournemouth etc.

The squad is not good enough for our aspirations, but Amorim has also underperformed with what he has been given. This is the crux of my push back on the great players and good managers campaigner. The most likely reason for 10 years of almost continuous struggles is that we have signed mediocre coaches to accompany mediocre players.

The only reason Amorim might get a reprieve is that he came in mid-season. Next season such an excuse will not exist. With the benefit of a full pre-season, he has to demonstrate that he can coach and that he can improve players.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 2:31am On May 05, 2025
Amorim has not shown much evidence that he is the man. Most of the players are not great as our resident shareholder would make us believe BUT they are also not relegation escaper level.

The hope is that Dan Ashworth was not right to kick against Amorim's appointment ........ cos if he was right then that would potentially be 2 wrong decisions at a go.

We will win the Europa, I’m positive. I mean we’re three goals up already, we’re in the finals already.

You guys forgot we rested most our starting eleven today, if any thing we didn’t play bad today considering we used our youth against a more formidable team but agenda won blind some of una…
This is not about agenda. The club we are likely to face in the final has beaten us 3 times this season. If it was any other club apart from Spurs Bottling Club, i would have said we had no chance. The little chance i am giving us is because i am hoping for another Spurs bottle job.

Is it Extreme to suggest that if we fail to win the Europa the manager's situation should be reassessed at the end of the season
Even with all the circumstances considered, it has not been good enough
What are we expecting to happen in the summer to assure that all of this will not be happening next season?
We should not make the mistake we made with ETH. Winning or losing the Europa League should not be deciding factor. The club hierarchy should analyze and decide if they think he is the man for the job on a long-term basis.

If they do not think he is the man to bring progress and success to the club the result of one match should not change their minds. Conversely, if they think he is the man for the job, losing that single game should not be the major factor.

We were 1 man down with de Ligt on the floor, Garnacho raised his hand and stopped following his man making us effectively 2 men down. His man crossed the ball for the 2nd goal.

Poor game intelligence. Poor discipline.

This is not always true .

There are areas in Lagos u will not see any new property; areas like surulere , contain , apapa road ,yaba , Ebutte Metta, etc. most of the houses u will see there are old houses with old designs and old facilities which u can’t force the landlord to improve .

If such area is on close proximity to ur business place or office , u have no choice but to rent the old houses and at least make the place livable to an extent . It’s not a case of doing too much at all. It’s just a case of some of those landlords being wicked and greedy .

If I rent a house from u and did improvements to the house , courtesy demands that u at least allow me to use 2 years on the same rent before u come up with an increased rent for the space . But a lot of the wicked landlords will not even allow u finish a year before they tell they have increased the rent . They know by doing so u will either be forced to pay the new rent or leave the apartment with all the improvement u have done .

Both options favors them because they can either rent the place with ur improvement to another tenant at a ridiculously high price or u pay the new price which is only due to the improvement u did to the apartment .

Na crazy tenants wey go damage the house before leaving fit them .
Is it not possible for a contract to be signed at the onset itemizing what renovations the tenant carried out and also stating that there would not be an upward review of the rent for a stipulated period of time (2-3 years for example)?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 11:28am On May 04, 2025
BlueRayDick:
People renovate where they rent to make it livable .

The particular apartment the lady rented was in utter mess when she rented it . Nobody would pay the ridiculous price the landlords charge to rent out the space and leave such apartment in the ruins they met it .

Imagine paying over 3 million for a 2 bed room flat and then u are expected to leave the apartment with the 1990’s “talazo” floor or the normal asbestos ceiling 🤷‍♂️. It’s normal for u to at least have modern tiles on the floor , screed the wall and paint it satin , have POP fixed in the parlor and a decent chandelier .

The fact is most people who can afford the ridiculous prices Lagos landlord charges will not live in the house like church rats
It is better to be a bit more patient and look for a property in good enough condition that you won't have to be doing extensive and expensive renovation. A bit of paint job here and there is still understandable, not POP, changing floors, changing roof etc. It has happened to a few extended family members and i advised a bit of patience and detailed search for a more appropriate property, and in each case, they thanked me for it later.

It is just not wise for a tenant to carry out the kind of renovation that essentially changes the worth and potential sales price of the property. This is doubly so in an environment where tenants are 2nd-class citizens, and any money spent on said renovation can quickly enter voicemail. Landlords should renovate their property before putting them on the market for rent at whatever price they desire.

And miss the opportunity to do a before and after new business location video grin

It's pretty common practice these days sha, especially for people that want the properties they rent designed to their spec. Rental proeprties in good condition might not their taste yet expensive, so they rent these properties that are essentially "carton" and use the money they'd have used to pay for that proper place to design this carton place to their taste.

It's probaby doing too much, and quite risky doing so as a fresh entrant into a property.
Whatever governmental agency that is meant to protect Nigerian tenants is sleeping at the wheel. Nigerian tenants too sometimes do not behave well. Sometimes people move out of a house and the rooms (especially kitchens, bathrooms, toilets) look like the ground zero of a nuclear attack.

Very wicked people .

They will wait for u to improve the house to ur taste and then increase rent to double . If u can’t pay , they will evict u and then rent the place out to another person at a more ridiculous price.

House wey u fix POP , change toilet WC and screed the wall…..dem go quickly increase the price and expect u to pay or leave for another tenant to come and enjoy the improvements.

Why would a tenant be doing all that to a house he is renting. Anybody who does that is leaving space for the devil to use/misuse the landlord.

I see why companies will not like it but is it realistic to put people in their peak years together seeing each other for like 10hrs daily and think nothing will be happening

Unless they are lying to you or coding it and what's the point of hiding say you dey nack person
It discourages a good number of people, especially if the company is very strict on how they punish transgressors. That is the best they can realistically hope for. The once in a while smash and grabs that take place after a Christmas party or when on a business trip together would be within the margin for error.

One of them resign or move to another department

Does this rule affect doctor vs nurses? Cos that's a nack story older than Shakespeare
So, one of them resigns and the HQ now has to start stressing and looking for a replacement to a worker that they have trained up to a certain level?

Then they break up after 6 months with one of them already resigned. Then the one that stayed back starts dating another co-worker, meaning someone has to resign again. Within 6 months the company has lost 2 valuable workers due to mentorship that they did not bargain for.

Can you see why some companies would not like it?

Even the ban on office romance sef, I no understand

Adults who spend the most of their day with each other. In some office you get to work by 8am and stay till 6pm where are they expected to meet partners?

If it's consensual. At my former office we call it "in sourcing"

The line should be that they don't work in same team, reporting to each other or appraising each other

What if HQ from faraway in another state or even another country transfers one to the department of the other or promotes one to become the boss of the other and he/she becomes the person appraising the partner?

Do they then end the relationship despite already picking aso ebi or otherwise planning for a life together? Or does HQ in faraway Hong Kong decide on promotions and postings in their Boise, Idaho branch not based on competency/qualification but on who is currently nacking who?

Women will say they like men who are confident to step up and ask them out yet stepping up can also be tagged sexual harassment
I have said it here before, if a girl really likes you, it is bold and manly toasting BUT if she doesn't like you it might be harassment. If she likes you and you guys link up and then you guys later break up, she can go down memory lane and still claim that it was harassment from the start.

The character and personality of the woman one gets close to is cardinal.

Guiu, George, Achempong. All have over 500 minutes. They are the ones with potentials and they have been given sufficient time.

Mind you, Chelsea don't even need them like that cos they have a full squad.
Guiu with 70 mins in the league while almost all Chelsea fans are lamenting and cursing Nicolas Jackson.

Tyrique George with 97 mins in the league while all Chelsea fans are lamenting about Freedom Fighter, Mukaila, and Neto.

Acheampong with 169 minutes in the league.

Lenny Yoro with 1067 minutes in the league
Kobbie Mainoo with 1308 minutes in the league as a teenager.
