Tough test for the kid. But it’s an opportunity to impress. Same with Bayindir and other players coming in. Yeah, that would be a baptism of fire. Jacob Murphy is a very athletic and physical player. Yoro will have to help him out. |

ETH na just mad man. The guy set the club back by a few years. He made sure he bought rubbish, and he made sure spent lots of money (all our money actually) buying the rubbish. Now there is little or no money to correct the mistake. Very clean job. |

...........It's the second time I've mentioned you.
No worries, I'll not mention you again lol.
The page referenced didn't show you advocating for Costa but it showed you taking subtle jab at Degea though. But cool.
Peace ✌️ I didn't only take subtle jabs at DDG but i took direct jabs at him and i own it with my full chest but i was always concerned about Onana being the successor. I wanted Costa. Peace out. |

I just checked. This is not the first time this airbere guy would be tagging me with Onana. This was a few months ago. AirBere: But you also supported him And this was my reply then. afrodoc: Onana can be erratic. The wires in his brain get mixed up sometimes. A GK like Diogo Costa is a safer bet. afrodoc: If we end up signing Onana, every single fan should go for heart check-up before the season starts o. afrodoc: I don warn una o. Hian! airbere please stop being a monitoring spirit and get off my case. |

AirBere:

..............It seems you didn't get my point. Two truth can coeexcist, we know. Whether you wanted Diogo Costa, Neur or Yashin isn't the bone of contention. The post I quoted was very clear and I'll clarify it once more and I hope you get it this time. It's also true that Degea needed to leave. He's poor on the ball, we all know.
Baba mentioned Patrick and Capitalc on those who wanted a better all round keeper but he didn't mention afrodoc, expert17 and Leyquete. If he had mentioned everyone including you, I'll not have quoted him.
If the idea was to mention those who wanted a better all round keeper, then go full length and mention all not nitpicking some names Nd leaving some who were even more critical out. You were more critical than those names mentioned.
Hope you get it now. It's not about who you wanted but about those who wanted him out. Simple stuff lol 😂😂😂 This is just a straight lie. In the post that you quoted the guy said those were the guys in charge of campaigning for the signing of Onana specifically. He didn't say they campaigned for a ball playing GK but that they campaigned for us to sign Onana. This is the post you quoted. So why should my name be added when i warned about the dangers of signing Onana? Oasis007:

........I read posts comparing Onana and De Gea, and I couldn’t help but laugh. I implore everyone to read old pages from 13301 to perhaps 13305. LOL!
You won’t believe that some posters here actually led the campaign calling for the signing of Onana?! CapitalCee and Patrickmuf were fully in charge of the crew.
The campaign was so convincing that even Odizeey, the number one De Gea fan on this board, succumbed and joined the crew. LOL! |

The club (and the manager) have to correct this mistake this offseason. We have to get a new GK next season. Getting a new GK and a new striker are our most important moves for next season.
Amorim also has to grow some balls and bench him for the 2nd leg. Unless Bayindir, Heaton, and Harrision are all so unserviceable that they can't be trusted at all. Onana singlehandedly kicked us out of UCL last season, and he is about to do the same to us in Europa this season. |

Ellexy: Lol this age of being politically correct and overly offended by every little thing is really something else. Cos how is a player now saying his team is better than the opponent considered disrespect?
Like I said, be like Matic get the guy for mind, nothing else can explain the faux outrage. Even without Matic's response it was the wrong thing to say going away to their stadium. That is exactly why the journalists asked for Matic's response. It is also not about modern political correctness. The usual thing is to just say they are a tough opponent and that we will have to play well to defeat them. It is not and has never been commonplace or wise to claim to be far better than an opponent when you are going to their stadium for a potentially tricky tie. We should just agree to disagree on this one. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:15pm On Apr 09, 2025 |
Ellexy: Onana didn't say anything to warrant that reaction from Matic. Maybe Matic been get the guy for mind before, that's the only explanation.
He didn't disrespect Lyon or the players, he just said he believes United is a better team and if they play will win. If you remove "we are way better than them" he didn't say anything disrespectful. It is not a smart thing to say going away to a hostile environment. |

CapitalCee: Wow thats great, I am not really following the U21 like the U-18s. Honestly he is not ready for the first team yet for EPL games, he is too young. The talent is there, he should be gradually eased in, a loan in a lower league won't be bad. It seems many of the core of the U18s are now in the U21. Monroe, Montato, Fletchers, Scanlon and Biancherri. Amass seem to have been permanently promoted to the first team. Mantato had a goal and an assist. Moorhouse had an assist. Yeah Munro and the others will start to play more Under-21 games now but will still play some Under-18 games as long as we have the chance to catch City. Munro can probably stay fully with the Under-21s cos his Under-18 replacement Ngwashi is probably our best rated CB in the academy. P.S It is very hard to follow the Under-21s because of broadcast restrictions and because of the cost cutting measures INEOS implemented. |

CapitalCee: Thank you, ofcourse I am not saying it will definitely happen, when by this time next year, he has not improved then we can begin attacking him. If you watch Yoro yesterday, you will see that he has massively improved from how he was when he started, he is adapting gradually into a new league and system. Even Dorgu himself after the Sociedad game admitted that he recognised that he needs to work on his finishing and Decision making in the final third, given his role in the team, so he is putting in extra work for that. Moreover he is moving from a new league at a young age. Part of his learning curve is not throwing him under the bus, but coaching him well and protecting him away from the spotlight. These are some of the reasons Fergie banned journalists during his time, putting enormous pressure on youngsters. If you criticise even harshly Mazraoui or De ligt that's different given their experience. But a youngster coming into a new league into a big club and he wasn't even as terrible as these agendists are making it look like. While we don't overhype youngsters, it's also very important we don't heap too much psychological burden on them. You make good points. Our fans are too impatient and often times illogical. |

CapitalCee: I am not saying he is a finished product. My point is he is still young and is coming into a new league, his position was LB at Lecce, is he expected to be scoring and assisting like prime Mbappe? He will improve eventually. It's obvious that he will improve, No where have I priased him excessively or blindly. But when someone just attack every of his moves it reeks of agenda I get your point about the unwarranted attacks but it is not a given that he will improve. Some players are who they are and will never improve significantly. For him to improve on his technical deficiencies he has to start working hard at it now. He is still young, so it is possible but let's not just assume that it will definitely happen. |
