Abuskid:I waited to see History on the list and I finally found it. Most Nigerians don't know what is History and as such, we find ourselves where we are today. For your information, the Federal Government as at September, 2018 made History compulsory from Primary One to Jss three, and optional in higher classes. History is compulsory in all western countries at the foundational level. Every trained Nigerian Army who passed through the NDA compulsory underwent training in Nigeria History and a glimpse of World History, this gave them ample edge over the uninformed civilian. History is not a course for every body. It is a course for the ruling class and heir apparent. I rep History. Proudly an Historian. No regrets from day one till now. |

kn23h:You are indeed correct. And that is why a sane Yoruba man will never support Biafra under the leadership of Kanu. To set the records straight, the Yorubas are not against Biafra or its agitations, we both suffer the same fate in the contraption called Nigeria. However, you can't be demanding Biafra, whipping up sentiments against the Yorubas, and also thinking they will foolishly support you. We in Yorubaland have respect for our elders. |
BEDC reporting from Ondo Town, -100%...the worst electricity distribution company. Owned by a political minded female criminal who knows nothing but issuing out 'Targets' which the staff must meet, thus, crazy billing system. average of 2 and at most 4 hours of electricity per day. No distribution of manual or prepaid metres. Poor customer relations. I can go on and on...how I wish the NERC would take note of this census. |
joseo:I just dey know em name too...too bad of Africa. |
Jagz16:Should he always disturb the public with your so called 'flexing his life'? This is a sign of immaturity on his part. Flexing his life should be a private matter, not snapping pictures, posing like a kid and sharing such pics to social media for all to see. This is the height of irresponsibility. |
The key word is MODERATION. You can't understand this if you are not truly Born of God. |
For those who think and erroneously believe that "Operation Python Dance" in the South East is an anathema, I refer them to this decision by the Supreme Court: Enjoy your reading. In DOKUBO-ASARI V. FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA (2007) ALL FWLR (PT 375) 588, The Supreme Court per Muhammed JSC (CJN Rtd.) had the following to say: "Where national security is threatened or there is real likelihood of its being threatened, human rights or individual rights of those responsible take second place. Human Rights or individual rights must be suspended until national security can be protected or taken care of. This is not anything new. The corporate existence of Nigeria as a united, harmonious, indivisible and indissoluble sovereign nation is certainly greater than any citizen's liberty or right. Once the security of this nation is in jeopardy and it survives in pieces rather than in peace, the individual liberty or right may not even exist" @Page 585-586 Need circulating for those who don't know the responsibility of govt towards its citizens Copied |

I have been fighting igbos on this forum on several fronts but on this one, I support them 100%. 1. Where the he'll were the police when the Fulani herdsmen were killing people. 2. Where was the Nigerian Police when Hisbah was introduced to enforce Sharia laws in th North etc Now the igbos form their own security you are declaring it illegal. I am a Yoruba but I fear for this Country of double standard called Nigeria. |

*Adeyemi University Status Reversal Hope comes Alive, Passes Senate Bill Public Hearing* The Adeyemi Federal University of Education, AFUED, which was sometimes put on hold in August 2015 after the public announcement by the immediate past President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has today received a full sigh of hope for reversal of the status. This hope came alive as the Adeyemi University bill and its establishment, named SB 399, was successfully passed unhindered at the Senate committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund. In his own remark while declaring the public hearing opened, the Senate president, ably represented by the Deputy chief whip of the house, Senator Francis Alanumeta, a distinguished senator from Edo state, said that the bill, which came along side other bills in the same line, seeking establishments of Federal universities of Kano, Owerri and Zaria, named SB 397, 398 &400 alongside the bill seeking the upgrading of Federal College of Agriculture Kabba to a University of Agriculture, is a bill that the Senate supports as the affected Colleges of Education already have existing facilities both human and materials for a successful take off such that the federal government will have less to spend in this time of economic recession. Meanwhile, in his address of welcome, the chairman Senate committee on tertiary education, Senator Jubril Barau, assured the audience that all opinions on the matter for discussion will be heard, irrespective of the perspective. He further stated that the minority will always have their say while the majority will in turn have their way. *After the public hearing, it was indeed jubilation galore for the representatives of the four age long colleges of education whose respective bills on the upgrade to federal universities of education did not receive canter memorandum.* It is therefore hoped that very soon, the Senate committee report will be ratified by the house and consequently sent to the president for executive approval and sign-in to law. It would be recalled that earlier in 2016, the respective bills have equally sailed through the processes in the green chamber. Earlier, the presence of Senator Dino Melaye to the conference hall witnessed a loud ovation being one of the sponsors of the bills under consideration and also acknowledged as one the highly profiled senator of the federal republic of Nigeria with the highest number of sponsored bills. While addressing the August gathering, Melaye in his usual dynamic manner, pulled his weight behind the bill and dramatically affirmed that he would even go spiritual, beyond being political in seeing the successful signing of the proposed bill into law. Leading the delegation of the College to the red chamber is the College Provost, Prof Olukoya Ogen, accompanied by the eminent Council chairman, Prof Nathaniel Ohazurike and Dr. Folorunso Balogun who equally lend their voices in support of the bill through their memorandum. Also present are the representatives of the paramount ruler of Ondo kingdom, the Lisa and Sasere of the kingdom, who both, through their paper presentation affirmed that the reversal of the Adeyemi University which was put on hold will certainly restore the joy of Ondo kingdom. Also present at the public hearing include the Chairman of COEASU, Dr. Tope Oziegbe, COEASU secretary, comrade Olaolu Olaniyan, comrade Smart Olugbeko, Members of the COEASU university status committee Dr. Felix Alao, Dr. Michael Ogunboyede, Mr. Joel Edafe, the MIS Assistant Director, Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, representative of SUCCOEN, comrade Jimoh Liasu, Mr. Richard Adegbesan and as well as the NASU & NACEATON, representatives, comrade Henry Akingbola, comrade Oluwatosin Babatunde and Comrade 'Dele Akinnate. I just counted the people in d pix plus d statue itself...they are not up to TEN (10). Chai... Igbo get sense like kilometres. Upon all d mouth. |
crestedaguiyi:May God punish you. Before your tribe came to the South West, we only have petty thieves, but since you came sophisticated armed robbery, money rituals, drug peddling etc. All negative news attributed to Nigeria in the comity of nations were perpetrated by your shameless kinsmen. Apologies to right thinking Igbos. |
prince9851:Your sense of History is very poor. Fulani conquered d whole of d north west and north central part of Nigeria, dat hegemony extended to Ilorin. 4 yr information, d whole of Hausa land is under Fulani occupation who displaced all d sarikis and installed d emirs in dir stead. Yr question is like telling the HAUSA to go get back dir land. I will tell you an interesting story about Fulani incursions to igbo land. Though yr Igbo will and can not fathom it. I dey come. |
Booked. I dey come. |
I weep for this poor little girl, very disheartening. |
Dongreat:You are the worst illiterate. Most you always use the western world leaders to make your subjected colonised comparative analysis? Your type is why will Nigeria never develop. This is Nigeria, not Russia or the USA. Slave mentality. |
