In this 21st century, should we be writing articles on the employability of graduates or writing articles in making graduates business men, innovatirs and entrepreneurs? No nation or society advances on the back of churning out people to look for paid jobs. Industrialization and innovation is the catalyst to societal progress. Let us teach our graduates and students to be street smart and open businesses not book smart and looking for none available jobs |

olaboy1: I’m not here to argue back and forth. The continent remains poor and dark because of entitled mentality, and you need to travel out more to see how people are grinding.
Ask Uber drivers in USA how much they pay car rental companies as opposed to them buying the car outrightly.
As for the simpleton calling me a small boy, I bet I am way way older than you. Since you are such a Liberal and simpleton what would you have us say to those hard working danfo drivers earning far less than 100k monthly. I know that you want to push us all into your irrational argument that Uber job is very difficult and risky, but let's sit around the campfire and sing Kumbaya instead.
By God’s grace I have been very successful and still continue to stay in a paid employment and always show appreciation for my employers giving me the opportunity to develop in my career and my finance. I will never be so foolish to commonize the investment of my employer, and they will continue to be my “small god” as long as I work for them.
Maybe you should go and read CBN report on how much cash an average Nigerian has in his/her bank account and then just maybe you would appreciate that partner putting down millions to invest on Uber. Oga. You are doing no one but yourself a favour. Your are in the business fir money not charity. Don't think you are helping anyone. |

olaboy1: Yes be grateful for anything you have, nobody owes you anything. I will forever be grateful to Dangote for investing over $12b in lekki free trade zone, it has nothing to do with poor mentality.
Your ministers are abroad trying to attract foreign investors, when they finally land on your soil try not to be grateful and watch them move elsewhere.
Anyone that puts food on my table is my small god...Yoruba call it orisa kekere That's the difference. You are making gods out of what puts good on your table, other people are making gods out of their ideas. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by afroxyz: 6:24pm On Feb 26, 2018 |
olaboy1: This is getting interesting. I think drivers should be grateful that someone is willing to put 2m Naira down to employ his service so he could feed his family.
You should go and see how that man made that 2m Naira before running your mouth. Stop been ungrateful in this period of recession. I have never heard of an employee making more money than his/her employer, it doesn’t matter whether it’s e-hailing business.
The sharing formula should be 70/30 after Uber fee, fuel, data, car wash and miscellaneous.
Investor takes 70%, driver takes 30%.
Investor puts 50% aside to recoup his capital and car maintenance. Investor takes 20% profit for his upkeep.
If investor decides to fix his money in any bank instruments, he is assured of his initial capital at the end of the year. People go into business so they can recoup their capital and even re-capitalize with a higher margin.
By the way why are partners not opting for percentage, that way everyone will share the burden of downtime, more like EARN AS YOU GO. So we should equally be grateful to banks and private organisations. It's your type that believe that just because someone works for them, you are doing them a big favour. That's a poor mentality. Change it. Everyone needs everyone, drivers and partners inclusive |

This guys have observed our penchant and obsession with paper certificate and have decided to fleece us. An Msc/PhD course in US is about $12k - $18k. A one year course on graphics at NYFA is $38k. This should tell you where they place priority. Learn a skill! What baffles me is that after going to the UK, you can't even come back to start anything based on the innovations and ideas you have seen there. You are still coming back to look for a job like your counterparts here. The problem really is our mentality. |

If the UK was your house and you got everyone in a rush trying to come in where you have less space, won't you impose strict immigration laws? The country/region is theirs, whatever they like they will do with it, whoever they want to stay behind and wishes to stay behind will stay. This is the first African superhero movie directed by an African-American and instead of supporting your color, your race you are here exhibiting your nauseating pessimistic tendencies. If the film is overhyped let it be. Oga sentiments aside, the movie just like other super hero movies is over hyped. Emmytes: There's no sense in creating something and giving it free will but still expect it to follow commands. Why not save yourself the trouble and make them obedient to you by default.
This defies all logical reasoning. Religion makes no sense. Yes RELIGION makes no sense, but spirituality does. If you read other books on religion apart from the Bible, then you would understand that there is unity in opposite. What do I mean?Look at nature. Sun and moon, day and night, man and woman, good and bad. All these emanate from the same source but balance the course of life. Christianity on its part advocates for division and seperation. That's why Christians are afraid to die. Thats why when xtuans encounter problems they believe that it is the work of the 'devil' forgetting that even the Bible tells them that there is a season for everything. Lest I digress, God gave man the urges but also gave him the free will to control them. Why, because man has to discover himslef and God by he himself alone. It is a journey that man takes to discover his divine nature. God can't force it on you. It is something you have to realize by yourself. So in the case if sex/sex dolls, he expects man to discover the power and esoteric meaning of sex and know how to channel it appropriate it. Kama sutra, sexual transmutation are some of the way this energy can be channelled to creative and constructive purposes. On the contrary, lust, bestaiality and homosexuality are ways of channeling sexual energy in a destructive way. Sex is raw energy. If you store it up too much, it destroys you because every energy needs an outlet for expression. If you dissipate carelessly, you weekend your momentum. Like I said, read other religious books, then you would have a better understanding of the Bible. When the student is ready, the teacher would appear. |

Emmytes: Wake up
Your maker doesn't care. If he did, he wouldn't put those urges in your body in the first place. He put urgea to be controlled by you, not the other way round. Go and read about sexual transmutation. Sleeping with a sex doll is a mental sickness. I don't even want to go deep into the esoteric, occultic or spiritual implications of sex, no to talk of doing it with a lifeless object |
