Igboid: Stop the delusion already.
Ogini di! Ana agwo gi bu onye ibi ibi gi, ina eto afor!
Ikwerre is not Igbo. 90% of Ikwerre people will hate you the moment they realize you are Igbo. These lots were raised from childhood by their parents with distorted falsehoods of how Igbos took over their lands before the war and tried to annihilate them during the war and how Gowon and Nigerian Army saved them from Igbos. They were also told that Igbos are trying to take their land annihilate and replace them with Igbos in their land, if given an opportunity.
This is how every single Ikwerre man was raised. They were raised in deep Igbophobia rooted in falsehoods where Ndiigbo were projected in the image of the mythical big black wolf.
Stop being ridiculous, emotional , lazy and stupid trying to pretend there can ever be any level of genuine brotherhood between Ndiigbo and these people.
These people are very dangerous to Ndiigbo overall well being, and I blame our parents for not telling us the truth about these people. Because most of us had to experience this toxic hate first hand, and I tell you. Its a very traumatic experience you will never recover from as an Igbo. It's worst when IPOB plays the ostrich and keep misseducating our people about these Ikwerres when most of IPOB leaders know the truth on ground. I know Ipob and NK know the truth, because when Nnamdi Kanu claimed to have visited PH, he cunningly stuck to Obiigbo where the Ndoki and Asa indigenous are proud Igbos and not Igbophobic, while he stylishly avoided Obio Akpor LGA and all the Ikwerre Rumu villages there. Nnamdi Kanu is a con artist for this shameless miss education of our people and exposing gullible ones to this Ikwerre hate. He knew those Igbophobic Bini Ikwerre boys would have disgraced and stoned him to death had he attempted to cross into Ikwerre land, so he stuck to Oyiigbo. Very insincere human being. His cup will soon full. Nnamdi kanu came to D-line to IYC head office. He however did not hold a rally and I do believe he visited Ankioo Briggs as well. |

I do not know the age bracket of you lot on nairaland but up to the late 1980's it was unusual to see a military officer trekking talk less of an valuable human asset like this promising flying officer, what do these fulani supporter of APC commanding officers do with their annual mega budgets for the armed forces. What happened to the squad cars in the military with the pool drivers and mechanics? is it only Generals that deserve squad cars. An officer like tolulope deployed outside her main base should have a squad car attached to her with armed guards........instead she was trekking all over the barracks looking for photocopying kiosks like a common applicant. This is what happens when you allow these conservatives from the sahel to run our national affairs! they will ultimately run it aground. |

cjrane: My brother, I had an African American friend who was a Major in the US army. Sometime in 2013, when i visited the US, i asked him why it was so hard to defeat Taliban with all the US army's advanced weapons. He told me a good army must have a good deal of 4 items. If they manage to rank at least 60%, then they are truly unbeatable. Ofcourse i asked him what the items were and he said: 1. ~ About 30% of their strength is attributed to bravery and tenacity of their troops 2. ~ About 20% of their strength is attributed to good leadership and good training of the troops 3. ~ About 20% of their strength is based on good experienced strategists 4. ~About 30% of their strength is based on adequate and advanced weaponry.
He said the Taliban had full marks for number 1,2 and 3. Thus, he predicted that the war will finally come to a stalemate and a negotiated settlement. Before Obama left office, he did exactly that and pulled US troops out of Afghanistan. So why did i recall this conversation and share it?
If you are a responsible freedom fighter that comports yourself properly like dalai lama, Nelson mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi, etc, the world will begin to take you seriously. You will begin to be invited by key international news media to state your case against the government. You cannot get there if you talk and act like a tout rather than a leader! Part of the struggle for freedom is to build sympathy to your cause among other people who are neither Nigerian, African nor Biafran. Therefore, when Nnamdi Kanu calls black people inferior to the white man and all that nonsense he says on his broadcast not knowing top national security government agencies even in the USA are listening, he totally loses every credibility as a serious leader. Thereby damaging the cause of Biafra as a struggle by a bunch of unserious street touts. The worst part is that no matter how you try to advise him to focus on the message and not the distraction, he is too recalcitrant and arrogant to listen to anyone. Even if you are Jesus Christ! He childishly believes he knows everything in the world! It's truly a tragedy!
Nnamdi Kanu may be heart broken my friends who had been murdered by Nigerian troops. You already know that good leadership and proper training of your troops will be a deciding factor. Therefore, Nnamdi Kanu should train more leaders and make leadership of his organization something that must not come to an end once he is taken out. If he were not the selfish type and wants IPOB to outlast him, he would make sure more leaders are trained and empowered to do the right thing and take local decisions.
No doubt, IPOB has brave men, but without experienced strategists, the bravest men that rush towards a machine gun without a plan are the same as those who run away from it. The will all die in the confusion and chaos. Nnamdi Kanu is a very poor strategist despite being a very wise individual. Part of the attribute of a good strategist is to always have contingency plans often referred to as plan B or even Plan C. Your enemy can change strategy mid-way and without a plan B, you are already defeated. Nnamdi Kanu says a lot of things that he wants to achieve, but they are all mere rhetoric's. He has zero strategy and has no capacity to build proper alliances with other people that will help him achieve his objectives. The reason he is recognized in America is not due to anything he did. People went out to sell his case to important leaders when the Nigerian junta serially refused to obey multiple court orders ordering his release. If it were Nnamdi Kanu's method, he would waste more time on social media insulting Buhari and the judges, instead of organizing and visiting those government officials and leaders as was done for him.
I don't loath Nnamdi Kanu due to anything personal. I loath him for tactlessness and planlessness. His only strategy is that Chukwu okike abiama will rescue his people. Which is true, but you MUST have a plan and work hard to gain the confidence of important government officials worldwide. Instead of shying away from elections and giving silly excuses that he will be rigged out, Nnamdi Kanu could have used his massive grassroot support to make sure only true Biafrans were elected into offices in his homeland. In that way, nobody in the international community would be in doubt if most of his people support him or not. Infact, he would not need any referendum because the calibre of people elected because of his IPOB movement would clearly show his people support his cause.
I welcome the rapprochement with Ohaneze, Odua people, Middle belt and Niger Deltans. It's common sense for anyone who does not wish the mistakes of the past to be repeated to forge some type of common purpose with these people. You don't need Yorubas in Biafra, BUT mutual respect is paramount. If MNK finally stops insulting people on social media and focusses all his energy towards working behind the scene to achieve his goals, then truly Chukwu Okike Abiama is on the throne and has intervened! I truly appreciate and respect your submission,it is food for thought for the discerning mind ! I do not agree 100% with all your points but as mere humans our understanding and intelligence is constrained and limited by time and events maybe with time i will come to agree with all you have written. I can assure you that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu one way or another will get to read your submission and also learn from it, it is a historical fact that every struggle changes the main actors that are involved in it,my prayer is that the Biafran struggle will change Ndigbo and Mazi Nnamdi kanu for the better........Odogwu crjane! I salute you. |

cjrane: I truly respect Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, but i loath like his arrogance and intransigence even when it is clear he made a mistake! The quality of a great leader is the charisma to change tactics when he sees he needs to. Zik calls it "Have permanent interests and not permanent friends". I totally feel that MNK is doing a noble work. Almost like being a priest. Therefore, he should tone down his tactics of insults on Igbo elders, even when he thinks they are wrong. It's almost a feeling of loath when a highly respected Bishop condescends to attack a feeble old man from the pulpit because he disagrees with him and he takes advantage because has the microphone.
Those called to the hightable must understand that they will be judged by a higher standard than the behavior of a street tout. MNK has been called to the high table of Igbo history. Therefore, he must learn to conduct himself as a leader rather than continue acting like a tout. It breaks our hearts the way that even Ex-militants and thieves can conduct themselves better than MNK in public! we need to empathise with him, seeing vibrant and I daresay unarmed IPOB youth shot to pieces can destabilise anyone. Do you know the amount of tears that have been shed at his feet by wailing parents of these youth. Nnamdi kanu right from his days in Massob has experienced this kind of tragedy over and over again, its not easy to maintain tactical discipline under this level of provocation by Nigerian security agents, this is not propaganda ...i personally witnessed the shootings of Ipob youth near garisson port Harcourt during the rally to celebrate Trump's inauguration in January 2017,it was a traumatic experience I will never forget. anyway Kanu is not the neophyte that most people think he is, yes he may cut across as brash and rash but he is a consummate negotiator, my brother you do not bring a knife to a gunfight,The nigerian political space is brutish and animalistic...too often our Igbo politicians are cowed into silence when they should be fighting our corner. If nnamdi was in the political space all the projects that are being denied us will have come to us,look at what is happening in the rail sector and gas pipeline network.......the south east has been effectively sidelined,we need a spoilsport and hard tackler like nnamdi kanu to "clear road" for us to make any impact. Note please there has been a rapprochment in the last week between Ohaneze and IPOB as well as Odua in diaspora and IPOB.......we must continue !!! |

cjrane: As per Ironsi did what exactly for Igbos? or awarded/built a single culvert anywhere in Igboland?
Or you didn't read about how he was warned severally that Gowon was plotting a bloody coup, yet he surrounded himself with northern snakes and excluded Igbos from key command positions in his belief that northerners were naïve and coup never plot a coup against him. The airport should remain "Anambra International airport" or be named after it's builder(Willie Obiano Intl, airport), the way Owerri airport was named after the man that built it ~Sam Mbakwe.
I hate that Ironsi died because i would have loved for him to be alive and see what his fo0lishness and overly placating the north has turned Igbos into second class citizens of Nigeria. All he could have avoided had he merely taken precautionary measures! It is the same Ironsi's recalcitrant behavior that i also see in Nnamdi Kanu that makes me loath him beyond words. They ALWAYS know it all and would NEVER listen to voices of caution. They would NEVER retrace their ways when they find they are wrong. Instead, would rather die and cause the death of others than accept when they make a mistake and quickly re-adjust. I have always admired your contribution which I consider mature and positive,I sincerely implore you to let Mazi Nnamdi Kanu be,he is entitled to his opinion.Time and history will ultimately judge his approach but I do know that his rascally approach has actually established a beach head for our politicians to exploit. |

dinggle: This situation stinks like hell. We must look into their claim to factor the possibilities. 1. What time did the accident occur? 2. What time was she certified dead? 3. If the vehicle was reversing why didn't it stop when the initial impact took place? 4. Did she cry for help on initial impact? 5. Did the driver hear her cry for help? 6. At what point did the driver stop? 7. How far under the car was she found? 8. Was she head-in-first, legs-in-first or side ways under the vehicle? 9. What type of car was it, make and model? 10. What is the clearance level of the car from the ground to the rocker-panel? 11. Was the driver tested for drugs and or alcohol? 12. A normal driver without intent to kill would stop on first impact out of shock, if that had happened, she would be injured but not dead. 13. Factually it is difficult to use reverse to run over someone unless you are pursued or your intent is to kill. 14. Was the driver pursued or in a hurry? 15. If the driver was in a hurry why then did he/she go through the trouble of reversing? 16. Why didn't the driver make a U-turn? 17. Was an autopsy carried out by an independent body to confirm cause and time of death? 18. What is the suspect's name, age, sex, state of origin? 19. When did the suspect join the force? 20. Is the suspect a reformed boko haram member? 21.Why no outing of the suspect's name? 22. Is the suspect been protected? If so why?
When a star is murdered considering the ongoing situation in the country, the least the govt should do is absolute transparency, which include press briefing with immediate dismissal of the suspect, open trial for suspect, make public suspect's statement, view of the murder scene, pictures of the cordoned off area etc.
I know it is a traumatic situation for the family but why havent they requested for an independent autopsy of their choosing local or international? This should be carried out before the burial. It is also important that a forensic analysis is done on the vehicle. Covering up the death of a star leaves room for another star to be murdered in future.
My gut feelings! 1. She was murdered. 2. The reversing vehicle was a cover up. 3. There is more to the story including reasons she had to be killed. 4. She was a threat to some who saw her as an advantage to others.
I'm sad because she was true definition on a girl whose parent invested in her upbringing. Upright, beautiful, brave and blessed with brain, she could challenge any man in her field and come top!...she could easily have headed force in the future and be a role model for other young and talented girls. It looks way too suspicious ! The north was always against female officers in combatant positions, immediately Goodluckn Jonathan lost the elections ,the north through their lackeys in the military stopped the policy. Their were high ranking officers from the north who wanted female officers out of the way. |
