Hi gabrielli,
Dont know exactly where clichy is but get yourselves carte mobilis for the metro and go to chatelet les halles , there is a mall above that metro station called forum les halles. Also go to boulevard hausmann where you would find printemps , galeries lafayette , monoprix and other department stores. Toget to forum les halles Take RER B ,D ,A or metro line 14 and change at chatelet. To get to boulevard hausmann, take RER E or metro line 14 and change at saint lazare or take metro line 9and change at havre caumatin.
Hope this will help a bit
Cheers

Also i am going for a sixth renewal and my 6 yr old child is doing a third renewal but didn't use his last visa. How do you think this would fly. Kindly advice tnx .

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries by afulstop: 12:57pm On Aug 08, 2010
@obeycity:I think u need to apply for a DAT(direct airside transit) if u r flying a british airliner! U need it even if u r just going to hang around at heathrow. But if u want to pop into town,u could apply for a "visitor in transit visa". Pls err on the side of caution. Make thorough enquiries especially at the airline u choose to fly.

U guys will be seated in the seating area outside the gates. At about 8 am,someone will come out frm the embassy to allow the folks on appointment into the HC as soon as they show their letter.everyone seated will take turns to talk.when it gets to your turn show the collection slip, passport et al tht u got frm the VFS and explain urself humbly. The embassy official should take your docs in for checks and come out with an explanation within minutes. It is well!!!

@larrymilla:hi there! I will recount my cousins gist to me about his experience at the us embassy in lagos.Prior to his appointment/interview at embassy, he had registered for a 3 day jci/united nations conference in nyc.he went to the embassy with his fresh virgin nigerian passport, conference invite, hotel reser, bank statement, payslips letter of employment etc.He was not asked to present any of the docs except the bank statement and to explain wot the conference was all about. No mention of his previous refusal. He was granted a 3 month single entry B1/B2 visa.He also met with other people going for the same conference. Some were granted 1 month, some 2 yrs mult. He said the kind of v
isa u were issued on tht day depended on the interviewing visa officer.Plus most of the peeps were not asked to present any docs.most of them were first time travellers or had done *uk* or dubai. He thought it was a walk in the park!,  Personally, I think tht getting a us visa is Gods'favour cos everytime I go for my renewals, I see/hear all sorts of categories of refusals even with previous us travellers! So when I get mine I simply thank God.My tiny piece of advice: knw all u need to about your intended conference, take all neccessary docs with u cos u never knw, pray for Gods' favor and go with mucho confidence.Goodluck

Wot r the chances tht the bearer of a 1mnth or 3 mnths visa will get a us visa again? Also does any one know why they issue the short visas?wots the "mystery" behind it?
TravelRe: Help- Applying For A Short Stay Visa For France by afulstop: 3:05am On Jun 27, 2010
Hey fiver, r u applying for your french visa from lagos or london? If from lagos try this www.france-ng.com and if u r lookin at trvllng in july its best u start the processing NOW. Since u r going frm london, if u r sure about your trvl dates, simply buy your air ticket/ eurostar and book and pay for your hotel accm accordingly. If u r still not sure about your trvl dates just book a ticket and collect your itinerary printout/PNR( u don't hv to buy a ticket) and book and pay for a hotel( this u must pay for) except u r bookin with a credit card.
TravelRe: Help- Applying For A Short Stay Visa For France by afulstop: 9:29pm On Jun 26, 2010
Here's wot I suggest u do: say u r going in august(hypothetical), go to the airfrance office in vi book a wkend to go and return get a print out of your booking called the PNR. Book and pay for a hotel making sure your daparture and return tally . U have to pay for the hotel o if u use local agents.except u have a credit card cos the french embassy would want a confirmed hotel booking. Wot ever u do make sure u apply a month in advance or there about.tidy up your paper work especially hotel, trvl insurance and ticket.

@all:hi guys!, here is wot my friend recounted to me o,, she went for her app/interview at the us consul on the 21st june and was granted a visa!she told her hubby out of "too much joy". The nxt day her hubby showed her 2 letters.1) a query letter he wrote the day before to the us embassy telling them they granted tht visa by mistake and should reverse the decision before printing any visa sticker.2)a response frm the embassy asking for the full details of the applicant. Her hubby told her to stop jubilating as she was yet to recv her passport. She picked up her passport frm the vfs office and there was a visa in it!!!she got a 1 month visa annotated with the details of the wedding in nyc!.she is super thrilled and her hubby is probably still in shock(lol).

@MOG72009:u used the term "maybe granted a 2-5yr visa". Does this mean its not even certain? Does it not count tht he used the 3mths visa for the stated purpose and returned to nigeria? Pls enlighten me.

@Pittbaby: thanks for taking out time to explain things. could the visa be a 2 week visa with the date and place of the conference written on it? Or is it always a 2 year mult-entry visa? Cos I hear tht the visa could just be for the for the purpose of the conference only.
TravelUs Conference Visa by afulstop(op): 8:33am On Jun 10, 2010

@ all my Nlanders:thanks again people for your responses!@Buzugee:It is not a twisted question o! This really is happening to my friend o!We r both billed to attend this wedding of a former uni classmate in nyc in august o!, I'm feeling so unhappy at the moment cos we've been planning the trip for a bit now.unfortunately, she is the one who needs to get a u.s visa.she is not even the travelling type!! Like most of u Nlanders have noted and also from what I have observed from watching "the interaction" between the couple, dare i say it tht her hubby is certainly a control freak! Apart frm this I can't say tht I know any sort of ongoing/lingering problems tht they might be havin cos I guess thts private.
TravelRe: Blackmail Letter To The U.S Embassy! by afulstop(op): 4:29pm On Jun 08, 2010
Thanks guys for all your prompt responses.Do u think that she should still go for the interview?  and do u think that the u.s embassy might act on the blackmail letter they've received which might result in the denial of the visa or worse still a longterm ban from entering the u.s?

@tunnytox:thanks for your advice.your words r true "nothing ventured, nothing gained!". The reason why i'm telling her not to go is cos since 9/11 and the Mutallab issue,I'm guessing that the u.s consulate might not overlook letters of any kind.
TravelBlackmail Letter To The U.S Embassy! by afulstop(op): 9:14pm On Jun 07, 2010
Hi Nlanders, need your candid opinion/advice on this. My friend has a wedding to attend in new york in
august so she applied for a B2 visa to the u.s. She filled the online forms naturally and secured an appointment for her interview on the 21st of june. A couple of days ago while lookin through her email box she found a letter in the drafts folder. The letter was addressed to the us embassy lagos, the letter stated my friends visa application number and passport number .The letter also stated that the applicant is a fraud and if granted the visa will not return to her spouse.in shock my friend confronted her hubby cos he's the only other person apart from her that knows her email password. To her utter dismay, the guy admitted he had written the letter cos he did not want her to travel and left it in the drafts so she could see it adding that he had warned her not to apply in the first place but that she did not listen. Here is a man who travels to the states a couple of times a year on B1/B2 visa and his wife never complains or tells him not to go! My friend is thinking of going for the interview all the same saying that she can always use the visa some other time if not for the wedding she has to attend.I'm sayin she shouldn't attend the interview cos the embassy might act on the blackmail letter and deny her the visa. What do u think guys?
