hey girl,

The player left you for your friend - that shows lack of respect for you
The player is holding on to you stuff forcing you to be with him - that is slavery.
Friendship is voluntary.

I think you should ask him for your stuff. He might think that holding on your stuff will make you think he you now mean all things to him. Do not fall for that. Face your studies.

On the other hand if you think you forced him to do what he did  by what ever means(still not acceptable) then go ahead and stay with him but it is a high risk investment.

I would advice you to move on. You seem to be a girl with soft heart, you need to appreciate who you are and know your life will still be without him.

I know you might be thinking he helped you by accomodating you. [s]Good work but you gave him action as often as he wanted it. [/s]

Please leave that guy and move on. He is not done yet with palying.

I did not want to have to open a new thread for this but anyone is free to if they want. Instead of dreaming of what could be and so on why not step in to act? If there has ever been a time throughout the history of this current administration to put pressure on the senate and the house it is now!!! I don't think the need arises to write about the importance of a constitution that is relevant to the reality of the country and is current with the urgency of the obstacles the country of Nigeria faces in development and growth. The constitution is an important foundation to the growth of the nation's democracy. Instead of simply dreaming about change please, the utmost ammount of pressure needs to be put on the law makers in order that the country gets a more fair constitution that can potetnially stimulate growth and development rather than hinder it. We should find out the contact details of those taking part in this review and see what we can each do in our capacity. Let Nairaland stand for something beyond commentary
I guess this is what kobo is refering to.

How many people can access the lawmakers? If any of their contacts is available, I will like to have it. When one gets such contacts, it is either not working or ends up with overzealous aids who are worse than the lawmakers.

Guys we can get there.
The first step I think is to get the masses re-oriented
let them know that the national cake is not the exclusive reserve of those in power.
The mindset of the masses is the reason why the corrupt politicians are going Scotfree free

I am thinking of an organisation which is is selfless and cuts across the country.

Such an organisation will  sensitise the public to hold the elected officers accountable and to allow them make their votes count.
If we get that right, we can get the next step right.
A2J:
Some of what you mention are not even there in USA and you trying to imagine such in Nigeria, keep imagining my people.

Only in our imagination will Nigeria be like that BUT maybe in year 3010 such things will come true.

Help us oh God!!!!!!
This is a rather high level of pessimism We can achieve that rather earlier than you think
Crime419 In Britain By The Brits by agaba123(op): 3:29pm On Sep 11, 2008
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1672733.ece
A WOMAN stole £500,000 from three firms she worked for and blew it on flash cars, top hotels — and hiring soccer oldie Peter Beardsley.
Katie McNeill, 36, had an account at Harrods for designer gear and once spent £1,200 on a hat.

She lived the life of a millionaire with a chauffeur costing £1,000 a month. . . . .

Please read more in the link above.
If she can do that in Britain, if she is Nigeria, she will have a field day. Crime errupts when the environment is right.

Nigerians can stifle crime by removing the enabling environment.

HR.hotness:
I recently had a friends sister stay with me and I never had the urge like i did with her, to throw someone out of my house. . .

It started with a days visit, she said she was in Lagos and i offered to take her out for lunch, i had a few errands to run and so we spent d whole day driving around and finally ended up in my house. I was to meet up with friends at a bar that night and i invited her to tag along even tho it wasn't her scene. she was bored and agreed to join us, needless to say the evening was awkward as she doesnt drink or smoke and cld not wrap her head around the fact that fun for us was just hanging out. she kept complaining about how boring the evening was, how she would rather go clubbing and meet men who would spend money on her. i did warn her about what the evening would be like but she didnt seem to mind so i spent the later part of d evening trying to prevent her from saying sothing that would upset my friends.

the evening ended on a peaceful note and i was relieved, afterall she'll be leaving the next day right? WRONG!

by the time i woke up (i am not an early riser) her weekend bag was in my house and she had made herself right at home. I didnt complain, its a big house and i assumed she was going to do her thing and not interfer with mine. how wrong i was again. ther was no food in the house and i ws too lazy to cook, so i asked a friend who was on his way to see me to pick up summin from a fastfood place, he said he was broke and wouldnt be able to bring much, which i understood. my dear friend then decided to place an expensive order and worse still didnt say thank you when the meal arrived. instead she complained about how bland d food was and didnt even hav the courtesy to wait for d poor boy to be out of ear shot.

by the 3rd day everyone in my house was sick of her, she complained about everything, the water, the mattress, the food. . . name it and she had summin negative to say about it. she kept going on and on about how bored she was, she everyone to drive her everywhere and wouldnt say thank you when u've gone out of your way to drop her off somewhere, complained about traffic (like that was anyones fault). . .

we finally had an argument and she packed up her stuff and left!

ok so this was another rant but really i was raised largely in Nigeria and it is ingrained to be hospitable and go out of your way to make your house guests comfortable but what do u do when u have a house guest that can't be pleased
I have seen her type and i know I would not let her stay more than a day in my house
