I need to step up, somehow this month has been a bit patchy with the exercise.
@agaba: i agree that roller equipment is the bomb. I have one gathering dust in my cupboard. I recall the diff in my stomach muscles after using it just a few times. It's so simple but effective -and form is key. Slow but deliberate movement, ripping those muscles!

@ HG:how far now, hope cool?
That was simply put.

PoliticsAnambra Election: Overwhelming Presence Of Police Men by agabaI23(op): 9:19pm On Nov 14, 2013
The police presence in Anambra state creates a sense of war and unrest. I was wondering why such a huge number of policemen were deployed from all over the nation just toensure a 'free and fair' election. I overheard two police officers who were getting familiar with a female colleague who like them was posted from outside Anambra yesterday talk about how much money they were expecting to make from out of station allowance and political backhands. That conversation alone tells any decerning Nigerian that the police are not there for free and fair election but for free are fair pocket. Even if this was not the case the nagging question then is, does it mean that the INEC or the police or whoever ordered the deployment of thousands of officer think that the number of officers in Anambra alone is not enough to maintain law and order? Does that mean that police security will not be adequate in the country when the 36 states are conduction elections at the same time? or is it that the police have some money it doesn't know how to retire but wants to retire by all means before November, 30? NB: Two of the officers I mentioned earlier were posted from KADUNA!!

Uyo. 100 level. Why do yu ask?
I guessed as much. It is very obvious from your questions. Not to worry, you will understand more as you grow up wink

The pharma companies are not ready to sponsor research in Nigeria for obvious reasons. The rather outsource their research to India or the West. It is not that easy but things are changing. Go ahead with that spirit. It is needed in Nigeria and the profession. Goodluck

CareerRe: Pharmacists, Pharmacy Students And Interns. At Home Or Abroad, Let's Meet Here. by agabaI23(m): 9:45am On Nov 13, 2013
it varies!!!
U can intern in hospitals, fac of pharmacy, sum research centres, sum admin centres (nafdac) and etc.
So d pay varies,
my faculty pay about 140k.
Some hosp pays close to 200K.
State hosp dnt pay much.
But mostly above 90K generally.
close 200k for intern pharmacist? The CMD probably wanted to be a pharmacist or the spouse is one grin grin

Most tertiary hospitals pay between 130k-140k. That close 200k may be obtainable from National hospital and may be oil companies.

Intern dr in teaching hospitals earn 180k on the average so it is almost impossible to get that much for a pharmacist.

Gerrard59: Thanks Mr Ababal123.

What really can be done to spur bio-pharmacuetials manufacturing in Nigeria considering fellow developing nations like India, malaysia? Cos personally i dont see myself working as a pharmacist in a hosi.
NABDA is working out something with the govt and a pharma company. It appears Good on paper. But you know curriculum harmonisation is a step in the right direction. PCN actually is actually at the forefront.

Gerrard59: Hi peeps

Do any pharmacy school in we country offer Biologics in their curriculum?
Biologics are medcines/drugs gotten frm the sythenzination of the human moleclues, unlike the traditional pharma that is chemically sythenzised. And it is the fastest growing segment in the bio industry cos of its low side effects, cheaper model though more compex.
All schools should be offering that now after the harmonisation of Biopharmaceutics curriculum about a year ago.

Low or lower side effects?
