theV0ice: Did Dokpesi deny collecting money from Dasuki? Did Anenih deny? Did Nduka Obaigbena deny? Did Iyorchia Ayu deny?
Why can't Dasuki counter Buhari with evidence? Or was the transaction carried out in the dream? Kai megida, you expect Buhari to accept? The money was taken to his house. Dasuki said he gave him 300k$ with 5 cars, he accepted he received only 2 cars.......... You can argue as much as you like but if you were neutral, you definitely think there is something in it. Do you know the panel set up to his indict salami reversed itself and asked GEJ to reinstate the man? Did your hero remember he was meant to be a democrat here?
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/5228-why_jonathan_can_t_reinstate_justice_salami.html
Okowa a PDP won his case, Darius Ishaku won his case, 2 APC senators lost their seats to PDP in kogi state alone....my Bros, Buhari's party has lost their fair share in this matter. They were able to reverse themselves because he is not a dictator. A dictator will rope them in somehow. Okowa won his case? It is like me telling you that Shettima won his case. APC is just foraging in the SS where they have no say. Look at the shame they perpetrated in Bayelsa. Buhari is yet to congratulate Dickson. You're the one who chose to believe he forged his certificate and I wonder how fearful GEJ was that even you know it was a forgery yet the FG was powerless to do anything.
If it was a forgery, GEJ would have done something otherwise I consider him an accessory You know, I did not want GEJ to disqualify him based on anything certificate. The truth is that the guy had no WAEC cert. He got into the army through his principals recommendation. The world should know that for the records When did the house become APC house? Was David Mark and his gang also under Tinubu's control? If you give GEJ 100 terms, he wouldn't pass the PIB.
That isn't a reversal my friend except you're telling me higher tarrif is all there is to your famed auto policy Deziani if not for anything has axe to grind with the oil companies and she saw the PIB as a way to get back on them. Trust me, GEJ wanted the PIB and wanted it passed. You re not right about that. The tariff is the major component of the policy. 1. Why will any foreign manufacturer open shop in Nigeria when he can easily make the same money from abroad? 2. Local industries can only flourish if they are competing with used cars from abroad 3. If used cars are still around and more affordable, the loan scheme from Standard bank would not work because many people would prefer to buy out a tokumbo that obatain a 5-10 year loan for a brand new car etc. So the tariff hike is pivotal to the success of the auto-policy So he wasn't a real dictator then? He was only acting tough? Hmmm
With oil price the way it is and GEJ having wasted the savings he met and the ones he should keep, like the prodigal son, we have no choice but to borrow if we hope to do anything. What i don't expect him to do is sign away our sovereignity in the process You people forget that when he came, the whole world was recovering from the oil doom when oil sold at 34$/B and then you guys supported labour's demand for higher wage which led to the bulk of the domestic borrowing. You guys egged on the governors forum ran by Amaechi when he insisted that no money be saved citing the constitution. They dragged FG to court. NOI want Sovereign wealth fun created and they were up in arms. They are the progressives working with Mr integrity. Buhari is doing more than signing away our sovereignty because none of them in his cabinet understands the international economic politics. America and the rest of the west do not want any progress in Nigeria. It is a time bomb and they cannot handle it. We are too smart and aggressive for them. China is hacking the pentagon, when Nigeria develops, they will use electromagnetic power to change the position of the pentagon just for the fun it and as a demonstration of power OK I'm like 90% in agreement with your position here What happened to the 10%? Give all in jare But of course all under PMB was authorised by him right?
Did he also settle out of court with those brutalised at the APC office of n Lagos? Including the pregnant woman?
Anybody hoping to lead a group of people MUST HAVE SOME ELEMENTS OF DICTATORSHIP as we can see from the weak and docile GEJ.
Even LKY agrees fully
Most often, the deputies do things they believe it is in line with what their boss wants or just to protect their boss. IBB said, "I will take responsibility because it happened under my administration" Now the difference is how the Boss handles the outcome? keep quiet and let it slide? It is approval. Buhari has been doing it. He is a dictator stop defending him. I don't even understand your case. You were excluded from the rice party and you are here defending a confused government |
Education › Re: One Year Vocational Training Bill - Knownpal by agabaI23(m): 2:11pm On Jan 16, 2016 |
Knownpal: Due to the situation Nigeria met herself now and with the way education is being run in Nigeria, I would like to suggest if the Senate can pass a bill that will ensure every graduates from secondary school to go for a compulsory one year or two years of vocational training before seeking admission into university or other wise go to any other higher institutions.
Now to me, these are the features and benefits :
Features 1. A student can go for any vocational training of his or her choice. 2. Vocational training centres are accredited by a private body or government (any which way) after a request from any interested vocational centres. 3. A certificate is issued to the student which will be among the requirements of every university. Validity must be ensured here with sound database keeping which will be checked by universities for validity and to avoid corruption.
Benefits 1. Reduces mass admissions. 2. Reduces unemployments even after graduation from university and there's no white collar job, such student can use the skills gotten to live. 3. Makes students to grow and learn about life and morals before going into university which reduces illegal acts such as robbery, prostitution and cultism etc. after gaining admission.
Now this is it. I want to know what Nigerians think about this my proposed bill. What other advantages and features do you think of, will this approach really help us Nigerians, or is it a bad shot. Please I want serious minded comments, The moderators know how they can help. Thank you, though I don't look forward to any bashing.
Sorry for any typos and bad alignments, I typed on a phone. Nice It is nice because some people will during the course of the vocational training discover that getting a university degree is not what they want and will not bother going for JAMB in addition to the advantages you mentioned In some countries, they call it gap year though it is not compulsory |

theV0ice:
Here you go again...
I hope he hasn't named Obama as one of the beneficiaries? You said Dasuki said he gave PMB $300k and you expect me to swallow it? Has he published the PMB account he wired the funds to? Or was it Ghana must go?
He has Intel's and as the dunce he is, he's still suffering for righteousness sake instead of spilling the beans? Shame on him and long may he languish in jail Has he given you the accounts he wired the monies of the others you believed? No but you believed all the same. Why not believe the buhari case? Even Buhari accepted that he collected something from him only that refused to accept that of $300k. Don't you think this stand of yours is rather hypocritical? So invading people's privacy is right because GEJ also did it? What extent do you think it should get to before the line of dictatorship is breached?
Do you remember justice salami saga? GEJ, as weak as he was insulted the judiciary more than anybody around my friend. I did not say it is right, I said it is normal to be accused. Justice Salami who was found be paid by the APC? It is unfair to say that GEJ restricted the Judiciary. The Judiciary never had the freedom they had under GEJ. GEJ allowed cases against him to run free course and paid compensations like he did to those whose newspapers were confiscated by overzealous deputies. Many election cases the PDP were lost to the opposition. Haba mana He didn't need to reprint anything. Actually I'm less than 50 and I lost my birth certificate when I included the original in my common entrance registration documents due to overzealousness. Do you think its a crime? Or is it possible I was never born? Situation is not similar. You could get another birth certificate if you wanted. And in the situation, a self aclaimed maigaskya should have told us the truth or gotten a certified copy from Cambridge instead of forging his cert. The principal that forged that has an appointment in Katsina. It is shameful bro. Don't argue this. You have to wonder why GEJ who comes from the Niger Delta wasnt serious enough to expedite action on the PIB. I guess he too was under the spell of the Americans and British? Can you provide a link that confirms PMB reversed the auto policy? He was serious and so was Deziani but the house was not keen. The house was APC house anyway. They however passed at their last seating after making a stupid change that oil producing community includes everyone from Borno to Bayelsa. Already the Northerners have said the PIB should be discarded and I predicted that if it was not passed before the end of last administration, it was as good as dead. if you remember Wikileaks, you will remember that many of the election of many of the Northern law makers was funded by the multinationals. This is one of the reason the original PIB was watered down. Senate could not do anything. The US and EU would not want the bill passed and trust me, if GEJ had anther term, the bill was as good as passed. Link for the reversal of the autopolicy: https://www.nairaland.com/2547095/apc-slash-tariffs-imported-cars. The punch link is now dead. I read that link when the thread was published on nairaland. He also impounded a British airways plane and jailed 2 British engineers in retaliation for the British jailing his mercenaries.... Does that still indicate him a puppet? As a dictator yea. He was supposed to act tough. But he out cap in hand asking them to help with his budget. The first thing he did after taking office was to travel to the US without a cabinet, no plan, no nothing....ridiculous Will you support the idea of restricting more items from the forex qualification list just like GEJ banned rice import? If PMB does that to encourage local production and conserve forex, what will you say? You do such when you have enough local capacity. GEJ did not postponed the ban on importation of rice and auto tarrif hike up to 3 times because at the projected start date, he would check local production to confirm if local capacity can support local demand. In cases, like the rice case, ban was not complete. Some level of importation was approved. Even with the slide in the value of naira, the cost of rice is still fairly stable why? But, I do not support the either of importing toothpick and Sugar with our scarce forex. You should allow me to use my naira card outside the country. It is very convenient. So who is your model democrat? Remember GEJ impounded newspapers and beat up their staff? Remember under him a sitting governor was caged in govt house by a CP? Remember you admitted he invaded the privacy of citizens by tapping into phones?
Who is your model democrat since LKY whom GEJ so desperately wished to be seen as doesn't pass your criteria? That action was carried out by his overzealous deputies. Of course he accepted responsibility. He was taken to court by the newspaper union and he opted to pay compensation and settled out of court. I cannot point at an absolute model but I can confidently point at a dictator maruding as a democrat Choi!! Wetin dey vex you this morning wey you dey abuse my man like this?? Apologies sir The phrase was just handy at that time. |

theV0ice: @the bold, i always laugh when i hear you say that. So Dasuki was funding Buhari's campaign right? I guess you also believe Diezani gave Buhari some money towards his election? my friend, i have no comment on this particular line of thought you've adopted
Will you see anything wrong if Buhari repeats LKY's statement below?
The $300K he gave to him was for what? he was a saboteur. One of the first statements he made was that APC was not being fair to him. He said he had intels that would have been against them but he refused to act on them. Who does that? The so called APC guy that EFCC arrested who allegedly returned N100m, has not been jailed. Why? N100m was from Dasuki or not?
"I am often accused of interfering in the private lives of citizens. Yes, if I did not, had I not done that, we wouldn’t be here today" Every government is accused of that. GEJ's government was accused of phone tapping and so on. Every government interfere with privacy to extent. Buhari is ridiculing the Judiciary
It's not my fault or Buhari's fault that the constitution demands no more than a School Cert to qualify for President. It's also not Buhari's fault or my fault that Section 318 of the constitution also equates primary school leaving cert with Secondary school cert. I don't know how many Nigerians can produce a certificate they obtained in 1953.
Everyone will and those who cannot can get a reprint. At least Cambridge hinted that they could release information on that if he authorized them which he refused to do. BTW, are you insinuating that when you turn 72 that you won't know where you School cert is?

The puppet you were so sure would repeal the anti-gay law at Obama's request right? I can remember saying that. I did not think he would do that. What I believed he would do has all be done. he has rversed the auto policy for instance, the PIB is resting in peace etc
The puppet who sought to embarrass Britain by kidnapping Dikko under the nose of British Intelligence right? With the help an Isreali mechinery, any government can be embarrassed. But APC went over drive because it was rumoured GEJ involved mechinaries in Boko war
What did you say when he called the bluff of JP MORGAN and their index? What have you been saying since he's stubbornly refused to allow our currency to be devalued as all the international agencies controlled by the same Americans have been 'advising'? My friend, Buhari is nobody's puppet. Better than GEJ who was a puppet to PEJ, DIEZANI, DASUKI etc What did IMF come to Nigeria to do? IMF just told Buhari that they will send a team of experts to look into your budget if it is eventually found. She told them in plain terms, this is bollocks.. That is not my point. Ignoring JPM index did not prevent international business men from working with it. You are aware of the amount of funds that has left the system and those that changed direction. GE health wasnted to invest $40 billion in Nigeria. Their plan was to set up by July, his delay made them shift to September, then November and now it is almost not talked about. He refused to devalue the naira but naira sells $305/$ because of his policy. He has been forced to reverse the no dollar deposit policy anyway. he is a puppet and he is still being manipulated. Watch it, he will sign the EU-Africa treaty ( I pray he does not). It was one of the reasons they turned against GEJ because the refusal runs against the raw material initiative. Do you know why they banned the exportation of beans and some other commodities? It is manipulation. Before the lift the ban as they will do this year, they demand that he signs the treaty. They don't want to take chances and I am sure he will bend over backwards and get rammed. The autopolicy does not favour the US. After Wheat which makes up 25% of Nigeria imports from the US, the next is used vehicles at 21% (2011 figures) The cost of wheat import in 2011 was $1.2 billion. By 2013, GEj had reduced importation from the US by 38.8%. Wheat importation was considerably affected. Cost of wheat import went down to $962 million. Guess what, the cost of vehicles imported went up to $1.3 billion. You know that is very true. that's a market, the US was not ready to also lose and with the Agric revolution under the bow tie minister, Wheat importation wet further down. With the Autopolicy, your guess is as good as mine. Buahri has reversed the gains. Ban on rice importation by GEJ and the immediate reversal by your oga?
See your model democrat, LKY again in his oratorical gloryWhere did I say he is my model democrat?
"Freedom of the press, freedom of the news media, must be subordinated to the overriding needs of the integrity of Singapore, and to the primacy of purpose of an elected government." If you did not have freedom of the press, you would not have won the election. And like I said, the same tool will be different in different hands
"If you can’t force or are unwilling to force your people to follow you, with or without threats, you are not a leader."
"I always tried to be correct, not politically correct."
Do you think Buhari is allowed to say any of the above? He is not qualified to wear the shoes of LKY. LKY used unothodox methods with his brainand it worked. However until then, the law enforcement agencies under Buhari and with the advice of erudite lawyers like Osinbajo, Sagay, Odekunle etc are getting a step ahead of the crooks and their corrupt lawyers. Under the circumstances, we'll manage it like that One thing I hated so much and i still hate is the use of court injunctions to Arrow justice just like Peter odili. However, what I hate more is ridiculing the court when it suits by refusing to obey court Judgement when it does not suit. Metuh is remanded in prison custody and DSS/EFCC are happy but if he was granted bail, they would have concocted another useless charge to arrest him and hold him down. @theV0ice The solution to the problem of the court and corrupt Judges in the confab recommendation which I know the APC will not implement. A lot of the issues we have today was address. The court, lawyers and Judges exploit the loophole in the 1999 Military hastely prepared constitution to escape justice. To strengthen our Democracy, the best foot forward is to amend those sections and most of the sections were addressed. Tell Buhari to implement the confab report |

After stepping down again, he was made Minister-Mentor for another 7 years until his death.
This was a tough guy loved by his people despite the fact that most in the west considered him a harsh dictator who muzzled the media.
Buhari has broken no law with respect to any court injunction. There's no law that says a man can't be arrested for a crime after getting bail for another. Buhari isn't a dictator....He's simply a man who has refused to be cowed by the whimpering of crooks whose access to our yam barns have been curtailed.
Buhari's exams will come again in 2019. If you're still unsatisfied with his rule and i eventually become dissatisfied with it, we'll combine our PVC's to vote him out but until then, let the politicians who have stolen our commonwealth stew in their own juice.
They never had single pity for Nigerians, why should Nigerians pity them? Before I move on, I don't have sympathy on any PDP politician especial Dasuki who was funding GEJ's opponent and the PDP guys who instead of campaigning pocketed the money meant for campaign. It is called Karma. To be Honest, I know about LKY, his magical unorthodox transformation and I know he worked within the rule of law to ensure economic stability. Lee's rule was criticised, particularly in the West, for curtailing civil liberties (public protests, media control) and bringing libel suits against political opponents. He argued that such disciplinary measures were necessary for political stability, which together with rule of law, were essential for economic progress My friend, I am really not happy that you are comparing Buhari with this man Lee graduated from Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University, with a double starred-first-class honours in law. In 1950, he became a barrister of the Middle Temple and practised law until 195 A Cambridge graduate of law who entrenched meritocracy In the process, he forged an effective system of meritocratic and highly efficient government and civil service cannot be compared with Buhari who cannot produce his Cambridge WAEC certificate and openly combines cronyism and sectionalism as an effective means of oppression and division. LKY was criticized for limiting civil liberty but he that effectively using the law. his election was not funded by any looter, he became popular because of he was at the forefront of kicking Britain away. But here we have a British and American Puppet who is dragging us several steps back into the NEO-SLAVERY system controlled by the West. Do not compare an apple and a rotten egg. |

http://authorityngr.com/2016/01/In-Kano-Buhari-s-supporters-continue-to-groan-for-change/Kano, the commercial nerve centre of the North, and arguably, the heart of northern Nigeria politics witnessed a number of social, political and economic activities in 2015. The major one among them was, indeed, the 2015 general elections and the emotion and passion that followed the presidential aspect of the elections that finally saw President Muhammadu Buhari defeating Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who was the incumbent. Though President Buhari hails from Daura, in the neighbouring Katsina state, it is, indeed, a well-known fact that Kano remains his political stronghold where he gained support from across all classes of people, ethnicity and religion. The common man known as the Talaka in Kano invested almost everything to ensure that Buhari emerged the president. 'Change',the slogan of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on which platform Buhari climbed to power added spice to his victory and what people expected from him.
To the man on the street, once Buhari became President, everything about Nigeria would change. Money will flow, the price of foodstuff, petroleum products, and other daily provisions would come down. Electric power would be steady, water would flow and the wild gulf between the rich and the poor would disappear. But seven months after, the ordinary man on the street of Kano believes that things are rather getting worse. Malam Abdullahi Isah who sells foodstuff in Abubakar Rimi market almost cried when he narrated how he ensured that every member of his family voted for President Buhari with the hope that as the Mai Gaskiya (a man of truth), things would rather get better when he gets there, “but I feel very disappointed that as I am speaking with you, I have not noticed any change because we are not feeling it for the better. Things are very hard; my children no longer go to school because there is no money to feed not to talk of paying for their school fees. When we voted for President Buhari, we thought that by now, every Nigerian will have no cause to complain, but I am surprised the way things are going.”
The traders are not alone in lamenting the effects of the local economy which many have agreed are not friendly. When The AUTHORITY visited WAPA, a major Bureau De Change market in Kano that serves not only the neighbouring states in the North, but other neighbouring countries like Niger, the money changers were practically lamenting bad market. Alhaji Musa Bako, Secretary of Haramat Travel, Tours and Bureau De Change Nigeria Limited captured the mood in the entire market. “As you can see, everywhere is dry. The money is not flowing. We have not had it worse than this,” he lamented, insisting that many people who invested their votes in President Buhari’s victory are beginning to wonder whether they made a mistake. “I voted for APC, I voted for President Buhari but I am not happy the way things are going because people are suffering.”
Alhaji Musa believes that some of the policies of President Buhari’s administration are not friendly for the local market. “For instance, between 2013 to 2014 when one Dollar sold at between N150 and N160, things were flowing,. You can use your Naira and buy as much Dollar as you wish to buy from the CBN and other bank; and sell to the local market and make your gains; but the case is not the same today. Do you believe that as I am speaking to you, you cannot buy more than $50, 000 in a day? That, I understand is a matter of government policy, but I want to tell you that such policy is grossly affecting our market. We no longer make gains. You can buy dollar from the bank at the cost of N270 from a bank but before nightfall, you will be surprised that the same Dollar has fallen to N260 at the open market. So, you understand that there is no gain in the business anymore.”
However, even though, people are complaining in Kano, the state Deputy Governor, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, at the eve of handing over programme in May last year, cautioned people to tighten their belt, insisting that the economy in the months ahead would not be friendly. Prof. Hafiz Abubakar solicited for the understanding of the people of the state, just as he stated that the state treasury is in a sorry state. Prof. Hafiz said that, “the state has a very huge challenge to contend with in terms of finances in both state and local government levels. The people should bear with us. We have already started the austerity journey.”
He noted that between 2011 and 2015, Kano state received N419.975 billion from the federation account, while the money allocated to the Local Governments within the period under review stood at 346.591 billion. He further stated that out of this figure, the state government expended N418.168 billion, while expenditure recorded from the Local Government allocation was N329 billion. The Committee chairman also stated that previous administration completed 4019 projects, with an outstanding balance of N105 billion as regards the 2715 on-going projects, while it inherited 671 projects from the past administration, with over N30 billion debt from its predecessor. He said Kano state has about 143, 380 personnel , employed additional 10, 000 youths while 7,494 youths recently employed into the service of the government are yet to be reflected in the payroll with salary arrears amounting to N789 million. The report of the Committee also indicated that about N20 unpaid vouchers are already lying at the Ministry of Finance, with N4.402 Billion pension liabilities.
Worse of it all is that people in Kano continue to lament the inability of President Buhari’s administration to ensure the steady availability of petroleum products. Throughout the last lap of 2015 up to this month, availability of petroleum products has become a challenge to Kano, just like other states. It has become so worrisome that people now patronize make-shift filling stations on the roadsides where the products are sold at exorbitant prices, owing to the scarcity of the product in conventional filling stations. Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu, a tricycle operator told The AUTHORITY that buying a gallon of fuel at N850 in the black market has really affected his daily budget. “Even when you hike the transport fare, you will still go home complaining because you cannot meet up. Right now, I tell you that most people have resorted to trekking when the distance is not too far, unlike before when a passenger can pop in and give you N50 for a short drop. So, I must tell you that things are really difficult. I voted for Buhari, I voted for change, but I am yet to see the dividends of the change. Please tell President Buhari to change gear for the interest of the masses. He should be more concerned with policies that will affect the everyday life of the masses positively,” he lamented.
Be that as it may, The AUTHORITY reports that figures and economic policies mean almost nothing to the ordinary man in Kano who grapples with the realities of providing daily meals for his family, paying school fees, house rents, electricity and water bills in an economy that is yet to yield favourable fruit to the masses. Though President Buhari got up to two million votes from Kano, another check by The AUTHORITY indicates that his popularity in the ancient commercial city has continued to dwindle owing to the fact that seven months after, the masses who voted him into power complain bitterly that nothing has changed, yet. |

Relax my friend. GEJ was touting himself as a modern day Lee Kuan Yew and you guys were lapping it up. I guess non took time to read up on the tough former soldier who changed the fortunes of Singapore. China is threatening America's position as greatest economy in the world due largely to the pioneering work of Mao Zedong but would you decide to close your eyes to his toughness and ruthlessness in dealing with the stumbling blocks he encountered on his way?
I guess Obama forgot America was a democracy when 8 years after his promise to close Guantanamo, the place of horror is still flourishing? Its hilarious seeing republicans call the 'sissy' from kenya a dictator. I guess they want all the nursery school kids to finish dying before they'll support an executive action on guns. Desperate times need desperate and tough folks and we are in such times.
Once again my friend, Buhari didn't win because Nigerians thought he'll be another duck like GEJ. Nigerians voted for him because they wanted a Buhari who will make thieving politicians shed tears of pain and I WILL BOLDLY SAY HE HAS BROKEN NO LAW IN THIS WAR. He has simply learnt how to fly without perching. A judiciary that jails a phone thief for 40 years but fines a N30B pension thief of N750k cannot fight for Nigerians in a battle against thieves without a Jerry Rawlings or a chairman Mao.

I guess the term "rule of law" hadn't been invented then?
My dear friend, concerning these politicians, Buhari has my support to break every law in the constitution The people you mentioned were outright dictators. Yes We have other dictators who held things down for their country like Ghadaffi until he was deposed. In those cases, they never claimed to be born again democrats. They told America to shove their democracy into their pieholes. But here, we are talking about someone who claimed to be a changed person and after he was voted in decided to live out the life of his 1984 administration. Don't forget that for every dictator that got it right, there at least 20 others that get it wrong. I can count so many for you in Africa before going to Far East. Mugabe easily comes to mind. Burundi is boiling, Congo DR etc. A lawless society hardly progresses. Do not support illegality get you outa a corner |

jaybee3: Whatever you smoking surely ain't good for your health bro
Your lame attempt to elevate the criminal called Tompolo by comparing him to the number one citizen of our dear nation automatically invites us all to give you a collective slap
Tompolo is nothing but a criminal !!! Well in this regard, he emulated the number one citizen who is the leader. That means he is a good follower. What do you think? |
