Caseless: For me, if inec really want it to work, they should face the NASS with electoral act amendment request so that the card reader and other technologies that could help mitigate electoral fraud be made part of the electoral act. The NASS listens and responds to INEC more than any government agency in Nigeria , they make use if of that advantage.
The supreme court is not bound by its judgment, if it can be convinced, it can take correction like it did in the case of Amaechi - it warn against anyone setting precedence with that judgement.
I really don't have faith in the supreme court. They have taken us back to the days of morris iwu. lol...why are you bothered? Were you not bothered about Kano presidential result? Was that acceptable to you? |

mrphysics: The apex court did not look at the future of Nigerian democratic election while delivering judgement.. Since card reader was introduced, it would be better that the apex court prescribe in clear terms the use of card reader or else remove it from the electoral process.. E yaaa |

Akaujaa: I'm not a fan of APC nor Buhari, but if truth must be told in all sincerity without any iota of sentiment, I will say that Buhari really means well for this country. During his campaign, I remember him say that being a victim of electoral fraud and injustice, he will never interfere with the Nigerian judicial system when it comes to dispensing justice. I am saying this because a normal government in power, given the Nigerian context, will muscle out opposition and never allow them to hold sway. But, so far the reverse has been the case. You may chose to interpret it your own way but I think this government should be applauded for this. Nothing new, GEJ started it. |

Eledan: Lame attempt at criticism. If this is the way opposition politics will run, APC will rule Nigeria for a very long time. You want to set the opposition against the SW again? The way you messed up GEJ by giving him the impression that he was cruising to victory with SS/SE votes? Can explain the reason why what is going is now acceptable? |

Kenai: Ah, no beef oh. Happy Birthday to Ogun, by the way...
But isn't it ironic that all the things Jonathan was lambasted for, are totally acceptable under Buhari all of a sudden? Come to think of it, I'm not even sure Jonathan's case was this bad.
Jonathan was initially blasted for "not showing enough empathy" during bomb blasts, particularly a case that happened on the same day he was at a campaign rally ground, right? Fine, that's bad. Agreed. But how do you sleep well at night when you attack Jonathan for all that but say absolutely nothing in Buhari's case where Over 100 citizens are burnt to ashes in a town just 10km for Maiduguri (the same city the Abuja control post was moved to) while the president was away; and when he comes back, he makes NO VISIT to the site of the attack to atleast console the people, releases NO STATEMENT even acknowledging their demise, and simply travels to Ogun state to PARTY and shake hands with political allies before jetting off to France? Is that the new "Empathy"?

You see, in this life, we shall ultimately come to stand face-to-face with our judgements, choices, values and morals. Losing your ethical values just because of partisan politics is the worst thing that can happen to one's character. And those choices you make, those pages you burn, and those lies you excuse, will eventually come back to your doorstep.
Welcome to the new Empathy.

Moving an independent serving reverend father to serve under another priest.... That is not right nao...
He's been officially demoted. No, do not see it that way. The catholic church has a way of taming his priests. I think it is good for his spirituality. He may be growing 'too powerful' for his own good. Normally priests are allowed to to stay a maximum of 5 years in a parish. In his case, he has been there for 20 years... |

Their fight for 'freedom', 'independence' is just a smoke-screen to deflect attention from d gross abuse of power and disregard for rule of law in their home countries.
