* made Little or no profit on it,
*or you had reason to plough it away because there wasn't market and you needed the Land to cultivate another crop
*Or on your way to the factory to make delivery, the truck got spoilt for over 4 days and you are either faced with using extra cost to get it down or leave it to spoil due to frustration.
* or you even had to sleep outside the company gate on a single bench for over 3 days waiting to be scaled.

The 100% ROI was for Watermelon and I paid it because we got it. The expected ROI i promised for Cassava was 350% because that was what i made years before I ventured into the crowd funding. But I never left chance for error. When we made first batch of harvest, I paid over 5 Million naira in ROI to first batch of investors until the market crashed and it was not marketable again. As regards the Stem, it has no value in Osun State here because everyone has it. And most people even raj away from the cultivation after the bitter experience. From the Screenshot, you will realized the challenges I faced with the companies i sell to too.

None of it is a lie. agbajesaid is my personal moniker.
An Investor advised me to use my registered farm name to run the agric business, that's why I opened the Samurfarms moniker. Even though I have the Samurfarms moniker, i still update on agbajesaid and I never used any of the moniker to extort anyone. That's why I use the same phone numbers as my Contacts.
I never denied collecting 250k to process the Cassava for onward sales and I never denied being paid back. Truly you have not received the payback but you didn't know the reasons attached to it. I personally told you I have been paid and requested for your account details. So if I intend to Scam you, I could tell you the company was yet to pay me.
Working on the farm doesn't stop me from going for important Social event.
Like I stated earlier, I have different relationships with each investors based on their relationship with me.
I have investment with other people too, from real estate, to export, to Ginger business. Some flourished while some failed. I moved on without crucifying those involved because I know what business entails.
I never said I don't owe you and I never said I won't pay back.
Ordinarily, if what we had from onset was JOINT BUSINESS AGREEMENT, I would never have bothered myself to this stage because in Joint Venture Agreement, we share the Profit and equally share the Loss. But since its an Investment agreement, that's why I decided to shoulder all the responsibilities on paying back.
I am in this mess because of my inexperience, not in farming but in running business.

The Maize I harvested last week

I repaired the farm Car after the Accident without collecting a kobo from investors. When you check the Breakdown of cost I give for crops, I don't add any extra cost. In a situation where there is error, I always use my personal cash to correct it, that's where the failure creeped in gradually. For example, when I spray a farm with Herbicide and Rain falls like 30Min after, o have to use my personal cash to buy another Chemical to Re-Spray because I didn't add extra cost to the breakdown. And yet my Retum on Investment is always on the high side. Can you deny that I ever paid you 100% ROI within 90 days? That's when everything went smoothly. I believe we should understand each other when its other way round

An in another cooperative group i was in , i never knew he was the one the cooperative invested over 3m for 25 acres cassava farming with since last year jan up till now he has not remit anything . Always giving excuse that no buyer, price of cassava has crashed . He even requested for another 250k to process transport for harvest of 5 acres so as to sell to a buyer which he claimed he has been paid for over a month and still yet to remit the payment.
Now he has become incommunicado, he has blocked all his lines and not responding to any enquiries.

This is the Surface dryer I bought to dry the Cassava when the Wet one wasn't selling at all. Remember I didn't ask investors to contribute money to buy it even though its for the benefit of all.
After drying Cassava worth A Million naira (2 Tonnes), the company was out of operation for over 4 Months. No other place to sell it to. The Cassava stayed on ground for over 4 Months and lost weight drastically, crashing the market value to around 200k. How do I explain such to an investor expecting A million naira. From the Screenshot, you would realized what I have passed through in the hand of the foreign companies I supplied. The Risk of life having to go back and forth, the loss I have encountered with them.

If I invest in a place and I expect to get return at a particular time and it didn't come forth, its normal for me to believe I have been scammed. But there are several factors that causes delay and even failure. The first batch of Watermelon we did, I paid you back your return on investment because we had no issue. When we did the second batch, there was heavy rain and the farm was flooded. Being a creeping plant, everything got damaged. I sent you pictures of the damage then. I have made video calls to you when I was on the cucumber farm on several occasions.
If things didn't go as planned, it doesn't turn someone to a scammer. No one is perfect. There are certain things we farmers don't have control over. The prime one is the WEATHER.
You as an investor already invested money, How would it sound if I come back to tell you that we couldn't get anything from the farm due to 1 or 2 reasons? You will conclude Its a Scam. You never bothered to visit the farm for once. I pray anyone that has come visiting one time or the other will be on this thread to shed more light on everything. I can't exhaust everything that happened at once.

Its a public knowledge that the price of Cassava fell terribly this last planting season. I have farmers that ploughed it away when they couldn't get market for it and they needed to use the land for other things.
But its easier for them to do so because they used their personal money. But for someone like me that used investors money, I had to look for alternative buyers. I have a signed agreement with TWO big companies that agreed to buy it.
The closest one is 210km to the farm. It costs #250,000 to move Cassava worth #450,000, meaning we are still selling at a big loss. I had to put a stop to it and opted to process it into Dried Cassava flakes for onward sales to another company.
I bought Surface Dryer worth over #500,000 to process the Cassava into Dried Flakes so that it could be preserved. You think if I intend to Scam investors, I will invest heavily on machineries to preserve the Cassava?
After drying the flakes. The Company I had agreement to sell it to stopped production for over 4 Months. The Cassava I took there was not accepted. I lost both the Cassava and Transport Cost.
I appeal to them to buy the Cassava. If I didn't plant anything, what did I take to the Company to sell?
Out of the little sales we made, I have paid back over 5 Million naira back to investors based on first come, first serve.
Because i didn't involve all investors on the challenges faced on the farm is what put me in all these mess I am in today.
I felt its my Obligation to do things right and pay back all investors their money. The challenges faced is none of their problem but mine, I shouldered everything. That's why at a point, I discussed with everyone to give me a period of 9 Months to re-arrange myself. The plan was to use the period to re-strategise and re-invest the little made from the remaining sales on a more profitable Crop.

I made 2 mistakes when I started this farming investment.
1) Giving out big ROI on the crops. I gave out the ROI based on what I do get on my personal farm. What I didn't put into consideration is:
* The issue of Weather
* Labour
* Market Price.
By the time we went into it in large Scale, so many challenges cropped up. I tried as much as possible to control everything. Where I had a fault was:
*I went into investment agreement with investors instead of a Joint Venture Agreement.
*I didn't have a partner that could assist whenever I am on another farm (because the farms are not in one place). I only depended on the illiterate permanent Labourers I recruited.
