Hi guys... Tokyo says hi from this end. Please she started having worms on her body this week, I believe I’ve popped most out... what can I use to stop this.... apart from that, her energy level has been very high, she jumps around at any slight opportunity to play.... here are pictures of her growth

If u have palm kennel oil around, apply in the affected area and also give her some to drink. It cures such skin infections.
Bathing her alone cannot stop this, u have to fumigate the area were she stays and make sure her environment is always dry.

Baby looks amazing. Her name is lovely.Always remember to debone the chicken before serving.
Don't worry, she would gain confidence as she matures.

the fight actually Lasted for 1:55 seconds and the bigger dog was even taking the pitbull's body away when it was done with it so they had to follow them and drag the pitbull's half dead body away

A pitbull is strong no doubt, but comparing them to the kangal and Caucasian is just nonsense. Just last week on my friends status, a pitbull(really muscular) was really bent on attacking this huge Caucasian. The Caucasian was just calm,looking directly at the pitbull. The pitbull later broke free and went straight for the Caucasian. U need to see the power which the Caucasian used to pin the pit to the ground, biting the neck without mercy. The pitbull couldn't even move. Pitbulls are just over hyped

If you are saying the gsd and mali can't hold down thieves then why are they mostly used in the K9 Unit? You can check Youtube videos and you will see how the gsd and mali operate smoothly in the K9 Unit, they hold down thieves until the officer in charge arrive the scene and i don't mean staged videos. Even Russia Military wey you see for internet say them dey use caucasian that one na audio, go to Russia and see the Breed of dogs they use there or you can ask someone who lives there. I started with Diamond alone...but I mix it so the dog doesn't reject it cos when they get use to one taste, they won't eat much. That's why I cook different kind of food everyday just to make it attractive to the dog. He rushes anyone I present. For now I avoid giving any human food cos of the maggi and other condiment. I give all raw. I only add vegetable oil or margarine to the indomie.

A healthy dog won't reject any pleasant food presented to it even if its d same food over and over again. From wat I can see, ur dog is healthy so....

So I’m a first time dog owner and my Lhasa apso puppy (female) who is 8 weeks old and is always so happy and vibrant has been acting slow suddenly and isn’t eating well, not even her favorite foods that she’s always so excited to eat. She also won’t play with her favorite toys. She has also been digging the walls and eating rocks and also sniffing them. I always take her away and give her her food and toys but she’s just not interested in them.

Also noticed that her stool is black. She has been eating mostly pedigree puppy lamb and rice mixed with spaghetti. Also egg sauce, boiled egg, milk and biscuit (mashed), fish, vegetables like cucumber and tomatoes.

Due to the lockdown, I can’t visit a vet. I called my uncle who’s a vet and he thought it might be that she needs deworming. I plan to get the deworming meds tomorrow.

What could be the reason? I’m extremely sad and worried that she’s not herself.

Please HELP!!

If she has been eating rocks then am afraid worms are not the problem. She might have ingested a foreign object that has refused to pass. Is her poop scanty and hard? U need a vet for surgery.

Pitbul is the general name for dogs in that umbrella, We have American pitbull Terrier(APBT) American Bullies, American Stafordshire Terrier

That is my thoughts as well. So I believe hulk should be called a pitbull

I want to share some pics of my all black working line GSD from puppy till date and will keep you guys posted as he grows.
He is currently shedding his puppy hairs that's why there are some greyish patches on him and teething all at once. His ears are yet to stand at it will once he is done teething. I will keep you guys posted on his training and growth progress. Very smart, aggressive and intelligent at this age.

Brush ur dogs fur always, like once a week. I hope u saw the parents of the dogs because I am a bit worried how the ears are looking.

Hello guys,please I’m about to Boerboel and the owner of the dog told me he couldn’t feed it that was why the Dog isn’t big .
The Dog is just 4 months ,so he assured me if I can feed him I’m going to get his body out

based on the picture, the dog doesn't look malnourished. That is just the dogs stature.If u are expecting the dog to grow really big and muscular like all these boerboels u see around, u might be disappointed.

Below is a picture of a malnourished boerboel. U can see that the bones are very visible but the dog has a big head and also has the potential of becoming really big.

My Ekuke, named Ruggedman who passed away two years ago at the ripe old age of 16 was the very definition of 'rugged'. We never took him to the vet one single day of his life. Whenever he was ill, he'd eat grass in our compound, vomit and voila, sickness don go be that. His mother Beauty would run round the compound a couple of times, shit_ and sickness don finish.

lol lack of time is one reason I don't want to keep more dogs, only Roscoe alone is a hand full considering my schedule.
when I trained him I had to dedicate so much time to make sure he turns out well.
as a pet owner no matter how experienced you are, if you don't dedicate time...it can turn out bad

this is true to an extent...sure any dog can be socialised to become friendly but it doesn't end there.
at maturity these breeds you mentioned grow very big and they can play rough and hurt a young child by mistake and they start trying to test their dominance if they don't have a strong experienced alpha figure. even the best trained ones once they reach let's say 18 months they start trying to see who they can dominate in the household or pack.
it happens a lot of times,currently Roscoe has started showing dominance towards some people in the house even though they are close friends.
ask people that own these large/giant breeds they'll confirm this thing

it's never advised to keep them alone around very young kids no matter how trained they are... the dog can even be playing and mistakenly hurt a child.
I know some families that their dogs that grew up as loving puppies have changed and now they're uncontrollable.
if you want to keep one of these breeds as an inexperienced owner you need to be ready to learn and do a lot of work, it doesn't end in socialisation

Well, That is y I mentioned time. He must devote a lot of time to learning. The neighbors daughter won't be living with him so all those accidents u mentioned might not occur. The reason for the socialization is to make sure she is not overly aggressive towards anyone and he could always be around any time the child wants to play. Reason y am saying all these is that even the gsd can be dangerous if its in the wrong hands. All dogs can be controlled, that's wat I believe tho. The owner just has to be ready to work hard.
I didn't work hard with jack . He is just an ordinary local dog oo and who would have guessed a local dog would be dis aggressive.

the heat wave has been so bad in port Harcourt so he has been struggling with it. I wasn't even able to photograph or walk him for weeks because of the heat.
luckily, the heat is going down and his energy is picking up again

I have never owned or trained a Dog but I admire alot, hope to soon own one. I recently moved to a new place self contain and have 3 neighbours(self contain too) there isnt much space in the compound tho, but my flat is the closest to the backyard and there is a small burglary veranda, my immediate neighbour has a 2 year old daughter, I am concerned the barking at night might wake up the baby and make them unhappy(not sure tho) Now my questions;
1. What breed will you advice a 1st time owner? I personally like the CO, GSD and bull mastiff?
2. How do instill discipline in the pup, especially when you need it to follow regulations?
3. How much did you spend averagely month from 2months to 7/8months and also how much do you spend monthly now its an adult?
4. Are there drugs or things given as PREVENTION against PARVO?
5. Since garlic& ginger are good for boosting immune system in Human and poultry (have a small poultry), will it be safe to say I can incorporate sparingly in the dogs meals.
Making plans and saving to buy a Female of any of the breed I decide on based on advice's and considerations.

This post is long but i advice you to read it all.

It all depends on time. Are u always busy or do u have enough time to spare. If u have time, then u can go for any breed of ur choice. I believe that even a kangal, caucasian,cane corso can be really friendly if they are well socialized. Take her for walks daily(exercise is key), introduce her to ur friends and neighbors, let her play with ur neighbors daughter from a young age and remember to always be consistent with this practice.
In terms of feeding, It all depends on what u have and what ur dog likes. U can go for home cooked meals like chicken and rice with eggs, indomie and sardines, fresh fish mixed with oatmeal or pap. Or u can decide to go for processed foods like diamond dry food, booster, royal canine, and Can food.
Ensure not to give ur dog cooked bones, chocolate (bounvita,Milo e.t.c), garlic , ginger, avocados, salty foods, fatty foods, etc.
It is essential to bath ur pup twice a week because pups tends to get dirty a lot(u can reduce the amount of baths once they are older). Get a dog soap with a tick and flea removing effect. Clean ur dogs body properly after every bath and put a mouth guard to prevent her from licking her body until it is well dried. Get a grooming brush and brush at least once a week if u are to get a long coated puppy.
Ask around to know the best veterinarian in ur neighborhood. Let the vet administer dhpp vaccine first at 6 weeks,then 10 weeks and lastly 14 weeks. Give anti rabbies vaccine at about 6 months of age. Deworm the pup regularly.
Training starts as early as possible. Go on YouTube to see easy steps in training your dog to sit, stay, and other basic things. Try to monitor her pooping pattern. Most pups poop early in the morning and immediately after meals. Take her out immediately to ur desired spot for her to do her business(note: U have to be patient with her cause she might tend to waste time before pooping). Continue this for months and u will not have any problem with her pooping.
Remember to pet ur dog as much as possible to create DAT tight bond. Clean the area were she stays and do not hesitate to call ur vet if something goes wrong.
