How much? What condition is the machine? |
Exact same device yes (Novatel). A new one costs N17k at Visafone. About using your Zoom with Visafone, I am sure they will tell you that it is not possible, but my guess is that it should be possible. After all, should you damage your Visafone modem, all they need do is transfer your service to a new modem. You may have to make an official approach to confirm the staff's claim. Visafone is working quite well here in Victoria Island. The primary reason I got it is for the times I work outside Lagos in surrounding villages of Oyo, Ogun State, etc. (even though Visafone defaults to 1x in those locations). Since CDMAs have better upload quality, the gsm services was not an option for me (my job is mainly served-based). While in Lagos, Visafone compares favorably with my Starcomms EVDO. In fact, I am not renewing my Starcomms for now until Visafone expires early next month. That tells you how well they compare. |
Hi there, yes, I got a fair deal. About Visafone, by "Platinum" package, do you refer to the 24/7 and un-metered (unlimited) bandwidth? If so, NO, it has not been stopped. That is the package I am using at the moment. True, they have introduced limits to many of the others, but for N16,000 (sixteen thousand naira) monthly, you get the unlimited package. |

Sorry Kheme but your information is outdated. Visit http://nira.org.ng If however you do manage to register .ng domains for free yourself, let us know. Thanks. |
Hi Legalman, np. I've sent you an email. |
Make an offer between 17k and 25k and I may listen. |
Oh legalman, where've you been? ![]() Just yesterday March 2, I got tired of searching and bit the bullet and bought a brand new Visafone one. So now I'm willing to sell the Epivalley one of Starcomms. By habit, I don't like leaving my phone number on forums. Since yours is here, if you reply to this that you're interested in buying it, I'll give you a call so you can give me an offer (I'll be considerate). I'm at Victoria Island. |
It depends on the domain name in question, and the category it falls under. If you had registered the domain name before NIRA took over, you shouldn't have to pay more than 200k for it. Actually if it's a company name, NIRA is offering a concessionary price of 50k for it. Please visit this link put up by one of the registrars to see a copy of the official statement by NIRA on the status of premium domains (including their categorization and prices): http://portal.netorbmedia.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=25 |
Hi webgenius, Thanks for taking the time to reply my posts - much appreciated. You should not compare SIM-card based USB modems with CDMA, which are different and more expensive. Actually I am being realistic. Take a look at this http://www.starcomms.com/business/izap_device4.aspx to see the current price of the exact device I'm offering. Anyhow, I don't have to sell it. Thanks again. |
Possibly. N20,000 - N25,000 then. I bought it for N27,000 as it was a 9-9 package. |
USB Modem. Specifically "EPIVALLEY" I'm not selling; I said a swap. Thanks. |
To download a youtube video, put the word "kiss" in front of the url ![]() No joke though. For instance, to download the following youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCK3RwVpH3Y change the url to http://www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=jCK3RwVpH3Y It will open a new browser and then you can save the video as an flv file which can be played by most PC video players. |
Hi, I have two Starcomms izap internet devices. Got the second one for a provider who did a job for me. Now I'll like to replace one of the Starcomms for a Visafone, so to have an option Anyone wants to make a swap, please post here. My Starcomms is quite new so please the Visafone has to be fairly new as well. Location: Victoria Island, Lagos. Thanks |
Thanks for the reply. Would you have any telephone number, by any chance? |

Hi, Hope this is the right forum. I want to buy a Mountain Bike (Bicycle). Location - Lagos. I prefer a brand new one with front/back gears, shock absorbers and big rough tyres. However, I'll settle for a fairly used one if it's in pristine condition. Anybody know where I can get one? Thanks |
Football is not a fair game. |
As an online Brochure advertising an event, it will serve. Now if you ask for a rating "Out of 10" as you put it, you're asking for trouble ![]() |
Ok, I can't hold myself back, so here goes: Anybody who tells you about so-called "super fast" ways to make money online is a scammer - period! There are no 'easy' ways. True, you can make a living entirely online and even leave your day job. It has been done. It is being done, but it requires effort. If you wish to make a living online, prepare to learn new techniques, because there ARE techniques, some backed by empirical and even pseudo-scientific logic. But again, they all require hard and consistent work to bring them to fruition. A case in point. Several people bandy-about e-books telling you how to put yourself to the top of Google, say in one week and you, knowing that a presence like that can guarantee your website plenty of visits (read, money-spinner), you swallow the 'tips'. They don't work like that. In the past, before Google got wise and changed its search algorithm, people were getting away with ranking-improving methods such as faking/buying/stealing back-links; putting on their pages texts invisible to human eyes but 'seen' by the search engines; cloning sites so to benefit from the visitors of the original, etc, etc, but the search engines got wiser. Now for example, if you clone another site, Google will consider yours a duplicate and will push yours down the search ladder - that is if the original owner does not sue you! Google wants useful, unique content. Are there fire-proof ways to get yourself to the top of search engine rankings? Yes, there are. Are they secret and only known to so-called SEO (Search Engine Optimization) gurus? No! What are they? You'll be surprised you already know the answer to some of them. The major one/tip to high ranking is enclosed in a maxim you're familiar with: "Content is King!". Yes, Content. Put on your website unique, unrepeated content that provides useful information to people, and they will come to your site, because they come in search of solutions. Does it take effort to produce useful content? You can say that again! What about backlinks? They are important. Why would I link back to your site short of your bribing me? Again, Content! If you have good content, I want to refer to it and hence back-links. There are many other methods but bad news, they all require hard work. But they do work when done right. So what is my point: forget anybody who comes around preaching some never-before-heard-of magic portion. Making money online? Yes, but again - prepare to work hard. |
We have a lottery-culture in Nigeria. Everyone pitches in, hoping that he/she will win one day, even when the matter on offer is suspect! |
- Show one website you own or have worked on. - Give here the keyword(s) based on which you optimized that site. We will check google and yahoo to see how that site stands. Then I for one will start to listen to you. Proof. |
I tried attaching the 134 page document with the list here but am told file too large. Let's get you a url with the list. 1 sec. |
Juicy domains on the .ng space As the post linked below says, if I were you I'd be going to register the best ones http://writingpad.org/?p=378 |
shoggy24:And who says you cannot put your own Ad on ? Sure you can. The idea when starting out with blogging or any other internet enterprise is to avoid spending until you have to. Take your time to explore, use as many free things as possible until you get a better hang of it, and spend only when you discover it is really better. I know lots of people making good money hosting their blogs on free providers. Besides, there is more to blogging than making money. |
Free blog providers abound. e.g blogger.com or skrib.com.ng |
