Hi, I checked the Support ticket and the last response was from us (June 1). However, I see a possible cause of the confusion. The system says of the support ticket you created: "Not a Registered Client". The reason is that though we enabled the system to receive initial support tickets for initial enquiries, you would need to register for a continuous follow-up. I'm very sorry for this inconvenience, but it does help us keep records. Would you mind registering and updating the ticket with the domain names? Otherwise, like I said earlier, simply send an ordinary email to info at netorb dot net dot ng Many thanks! |
Irresponsible? Hmm, strong. Anyhow, if you followed the Contact us link from http://netregit.com.ng you would notice that you can create a Support Ticket. In any case, your reply (and your desired list of domains) were not received I can assure you. Could you please send them again, by simply replying the email you were sent requesting them. Or please let me know to which email you sent your replies. Write me at info at netregit dot com dot ng Many thanks |
It's true, .ng domain registrations are now live. As at yesterday, registered domains become visible on the Internet within the hour. On the website of NIRA (nira.org.ng) you can find the list of accredited registrars. Choose one of them to register for you. You could also go direct to http://netregit.com.ng There are several advantages that the .ng domain option offers, one being the ability to register choice names hitherto unavailable on the other already crowded domains. As one of the accredited registrars I'm willing to answer questions and help resolve any doubts. Regards |
I guess a traditional ruler needs to test his popularity once in a while. |
Seton:Hi there, I understand your feelings exactly. I too have received flaks from clients over the .ng domain. It's better now. I'm optimistic that you can now register a .ng domain instantly. Like I said in an earlier post, I did a .edu.ng and it was visible in DNS in 4 hours! I think that's quite an improvement, don't you think? |
NIRA did not delete any domains. True, the disruption was caused when domain names were being moved from the old system to a newer one. During the migration those domains were adversely affected that initially stood on shaky ground. Let me explain. During the old registration system, registrars had the option to register using either "simple" servers or "advanced" servers. In the latter case, they had to provide DNS (Domain Name Servers) themselves. Most reputable registrars did that, but others chose the "simple" servers, which understandably was easier because you did not fall into the tricky and more complicated 'trap' of the "Advanced" method. Now when the domain names were transited to the new system, naturally only those with DNS (which all domains need) moved over without a hitch. So you see, it was not entirely NIRA's fault. I am one of the .ng Registrars. I was initially flustered myself but soon realized I had my faults as well. So what NIRA is now doing is trying to identify which domain belonged to which registrar and getting them over to the new one. Recognize that this is not an easy task granted that .ng domain registration was a "free for all" before now and hundreds of people had been "registrars". Identifying names to transit to 29 accredited registrars is not a mean (manual) feat. I can confirm that NIRA .ng domain registration is now live and registration is instant. I know, because I have begun to use it. OK, I thought I should chip in this so that people can have a bit more hope ![]() Hope this helps. |
Each module will receive an in-depth coverage (otherwise it would not be useful in practice ) The courses are handled by Industry-tested anti-h-a-c-k-e-r-s, or you can call them "Ethical h-a-c-k-e-r-s" as they like to call themselves. Please pardon my use of hyphens in the spelling. It's to circumvent the bot in this forum that changes such words. Thanks for the feedback. |
Thanks for the feedback Sherriff |
Thanks for this thread. Pls can someone give precise locations (if possible) for where to learn Aikido in Lagos. Anyone close to Victoria Island? Thanks |

The scan above doesn't prove anything. If Hostgator say they find nothing malicious on your site, if anything that "proves" that the aforementioned Interswitch scam is coming from you, rather than from external elements. |
If you're in Lagos, you have several possibilities for withdrawing your money from Mastercard. Go to GTB Branch on Tiamiu Savage Street, Victoria Island with your Driver's License. You will fill a form and will get your dollars in cash over the counter. There's a $6 charge. If you want to avoid this charge, you will apply and in 45 days will get your money out. ATM Option: Zenith Bank Branch on Adeyemo Alakija should give accept your Mastercard but will pay you in Naira. If you're in Ikeja, the GTB branch at Ikeja will do same as in Tiamiu Savage = $ Cash. Hope this helps. |
"For One More Day" by Mitch Albom You will cry, or you will react, For me, I called my mum immediately after! |
Actually competition is not such a bad thing. It puts good business people on their toes. No, that's not the main issue for us here. Simply training for those who wish to be prepared. Anyhow, that's the reason for this post - to get feedback, and you're already giving it. Thanks a mil! |
Hi Seun, Thanks for your reply. Actually we already do that. We have a good number (who appreciate the 'insurance' nature of the field) on our list. We now think it will be worthwhile expanding the sphere of programmers who have this ability, hence the idea for this course. |
Hi all, Our Media Company is packaging an Online Virtual Learning on Web/Network Security. It is no longer news that web sites are daily being hacked, and that any future thinking programmer will better serve both himself and his clients, by being aware of how to prevent these hacks and what to do if they happen. Nowadays, it's no longer a question of IF, but of WHEN. The most high profile hacking in the Nigerian environment was the website of the PUNCH newspaper and many others whose owners preferred to say, "Down for Upgrading". The Online Course will address the following areas among others: Web Sites Penetration Testing Network Penetration Testing Code Auditing & Patching Secure Configuration Management Secure Web Development Network Hacking Training Web Hacking Training End-User Security Training Apache Tricks to protect sensitive/backup files Apache Tricks to prevent Shell File Attack What to do when you are hacked HTTP Brute Forcing with JHijack Scalp RatProxy Now the purpose of this post is to find out your views: 1. Will you take part in such a course if organized? 2. How much would you be willing to pay for each module? 3. How much time would you be willing to spend each day doing this? 4. How long should the entire cost run I am very grateful for your feedback and please if you would be interested, do me a PM, and I will keep you informed of progress. Thanks a lot. |

No, registration is still manual for now, but it's much faster. It's gone down to a max of 24 hours. If you want one send me an email to domains AT netregit.com.ng Cheers |
Perhaps you can start by registering a more befitting domain name for them www.fountainuniv.edu.ng or whatever name of your choice. Send me an email if you want: info at netregit dot com dot ng I'll need a letter authorizing you to do it from a senior University official. Cheers EDIT: I don't know why this page keep changing the first word of my email address to INFORMATION. If it does again, please note that there are only four characters before the AT (@) sign I-N-F-O Damn script ![]() |

Bump ![]() Isn't it funny? In a country where everybody cries and groans and complains that unemployment is high, I made a post two weeks ago - several views no reply. Anyhow, I got the person I wanted through other means. It goes to show that either there is a problem of qualification or we are choosy. Or simply that I did not make an attractive post ![]() No matter, but I couldn't help this follow-up post. Take care! |
"Jesus was a Carpenter, he must have been poor". I like that. How's that for example? After all "the servant is not greater than his master", No? True, being a carpenter is not synonymous with poverty - but neither is it synonymous with being rich, at least in the material sense of it. You see, I think one major problem is that many consider life here as the ultimate and definitive one. While it is true that man needs a minimum of well being to be able to serve God, the danger remains for the one who now begins to consider these 'goods' as ends in themselves. "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be" |
Ok, thanks. |
