AgentONE: The error was made with my french visa form...I used the copy functionality but forgot to change the passport and so the two forms had the same passport number, date of issue and expiry. All other details are correct. This mistake was only done in the french Visa Form and not in TLS Contact form. UPDATE:I was able to successfully submit my document even with mistakes to one of the applicant passport number. The error was done in the french visa form but not on TLS form, so I just printed another visa form with the correct information. Both visa form I came with was returned, and they regenerated the first form using the correct details. P.SI took the risk of not cancelling my appointment even though the customer service agent told me in an email that I'll need to cancel and rebook. Thank God I didn't follow that advice. I'm posting this here so someone else might benefit from this and not lose their money to wrong advise. |

spriteB: I sincerely have no idea if this would fall into the same category as mine. Mine was omission of my middle name from the French visa form.
I will defer to experts in the house to weigh-in on this.... In your case, did you later generate another french visa form, and submit both the wrong and the correct one just as their FAQ suggests? |
Travel › Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by AgentONE(m): 11:55am On Aug 13, 2025 |
spriteB: Yes, I was allowed to submit. Every other document has my middle name, only the application form, which was even returned to me at TLS.

Bopz1805: Thanks for the response. In the meantime, he has been presenting his last three months’ payslips as proof of financial capability and all relevant documents. What would you advise him to do when he returns to the Home Office? I understand your plight, as some Ausländerbehörde usually issue with "glaubhaft gemacht"... He should insist and ask them to carry out the necessary calculations needed to ascertain his ability to sponsor a student on a long term visa. Possibly show them the reply you got from the embassy. |

Chaigogo22: HELLO GUYS, PLS WHO ELSE HAS DONE DECLARATION OF AGE OR AFFIDAVIT FOR CHANGE OF NAME REQUESTED BY THE GERMAN EMBASSY. I WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS YOU WENT THRU AS THE EMBASSY REQUIRE YOU TO FOLLOW A SPECIFIC STANDARD. PLS IF YOU HAVE DONE ANY OF THE ABOVE AND IT WAS SUCCESSFUL, PLS INDICATE AND HELP A BROTHER. I did during my time. I swore an Affidavit at the court, then a newspaper publication for the change of name. I added these to my visa application and I didn't have any problem whatsoever. |

BigOG: Who knows if it's important to have my A1 Certificate to be interviewed.
The course is taught in English. However, the school requires A1 certificate in order to be enrolled. I'll write the A1 exam, but the Certificate will not be out before my interview date.
Will the German embassy go ahead with my interview? Please reply if you've been in this situation or know someone who has been in this situation and how it went.
Thanks I haven't been in such but logically speaking they should still conduct the interview. Worst case is that they will request for such before your AM or ask you to forward it by email once you have it. |

Gerald45411: Good day guys. Please how can someone secure student accommodation in Berlin Germany? I have being trying to but it's like I'm having serious headache about it. My budget is 400euro per month but not seeing any around that price. Can I get advice on these regard. Your budget of 400EUR for berlin is very low. You would struggle to find WG (shared apartment) in berlin for that price. Another option is to search in neighboring cities that are close to Berlin, eg Potsdam, etc. |

During my travel, I didn't have any issues in Nigeria. They only asked for my visa. abeylevels: Hello Friends,
I will like to ask from the experience of those who travelled through the Lagos airport (MMA) after obtaining their visa. When presenting documents to the immigration/airport officials, is it a must to translate the admission letter and accommodation document to English? I asked because these documents are normally issued in other languages different from English and our immigrations officers at the airport can only speak English. I will like to get from the experience of others at the airport. Then incase there is a need to do the translation to English for immigration officials at the Lagos airport, can anyone share their experience on where they did such translation?
Thanks and Best Regards |

Fabcol: Vpd is valid for 1year.. So do the maths Officially YES on paper VPD should expire after one year but in reality that isn't always the case, like for FHWS, i've been using the same VPD since 2017 till now...Some other schools also allows the same VPD to be used up to two years. You can also be lucky and the VPD you got for school 'A' will be accepted by school 'B'...I think the person should just write his course coordinator or international office to get what exactly holds in his case. |

Eromose08: Yes I have gotten my confirmation since May. Thanks I don't think that matters much, what matters most based on the info gathered from their website is what date are you going to submit your visa application(your interview date). If you've done interview before September 1st you might be on the safer side whilst submitting the confirmation of funding after September 1st but still, I won't take that risk because on the day of your interview you were made to sign a slip stating your application won't be processed until you meet every requirement required of you(even though sometimes they don't act on the weight of this doc), which if they decided to pull the weight of that doc as regards the case of someone who does his interview before September 1st but then fails to submit the funding confirmation until after September 1st. So my own little advice is do what needs to be done as soon as possible but if your interview is after September 1st, just gear up for the worst case scenario. Grace differs, I pray my analysis is wrong and at the end you scale through, because from my little experience on this German waka, grace does come to play most times. That's why the saying here goes, "German matter na per head o" One love |
