Good day everyone, I know it is possible to use a school AL for admission purposes and show up in another school in Germany, but Please is it possible to use a school AL for visa purposes without enrolling before the enrollment deadline, because one deadline is June 21st and the other is June 30th, please hope it won’t pose any issue at the embassy

It's tricky, sure u can use an AL for visa interview without enrolling at that school even while u are yet in Nigeria.
But be mindful of this, you said one is June 30th and another is June 21st, what is the latest date you're required by these schools to be in Germany for the physical part of the enrollment.
I know some schools allow enrollment to be completed online and you get uyor student ID, matriculation number and all, while some allow by proxy.
If those two schools require you to be physically present before you can complete the enrollment, then I'll advice you pick the school that has the furthest date of physical enrollment deadline.

For my case, I used FHWS for interview even though I have only done part enrollment online, the other part is to be completed physically before September 29th.

You can try visiting the consulate to submit the doc by hand if you live with Lagos or her environs... But Paulinus can be a really pain in d butt if you don't have a doc requesting for u to come drop such at the consulate.
Don't forget to go with your visa fee receipt and other communications you've had with them in the past.

Do you have a mail correspondence from them asking you to submit your new admission document? If you have that, print it out and add your new admission, plus a detailed letter explaining your situation. Submit all at the gate with Paulinus, do this as a backup just in case they wanna claim they didn't get your mail

The last contact I had with the embassy was a week to resumption when they told me over the phone that they are still working on my application.

This is the email I sent after defering my admission

Good day,

Owing to the delay in my student visa application, I am unable to resume my classes that commenced yesterday 15th April 2019. Hence, I have deferred my admission at the university, because I cannot join the classes at a later date.

However, I have been granted a new date of resumption by the university which is the 21st August 2019, that should give adequate time for the completion of my visa application process. My interview date was on the 6th of December 2018; Passport no. A0******, Visa Application no. #2****.

I have attached a copy of my new admission letter in this email. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you.

When you tell me that, then i'll see if it's possible for you to take that to the consulate and submit the new admission by hand.

Yes I funded before interview but sent confirmation via email the next day after my interview and I received a confirmation email from the consulate

That's just gross act of negligence from the consulate, same thing happened to my friend last year who was going to Cottbus.
He funded before interview and performed very well at the interview, his VO was highly impressed but she told my guy,"Your application wont be processed yet as your enrollment deadline is still very much far and that since there's no urgent reason for him to travel anytime soon, that his doc will not be attended to immediately"

My dear, like play like play...a month or so to his deadline NO AM yet, baba had to write the consulate like, how far una na, when am i to receive an update from you, i have fulfilled all requirement it's almost close to my enrollment deadline.
It was in that month that they forwarded his doc to Germany for processing.

All i'm saying is that, just exercise patience as it will all finally work out for your good. Thank God that you've been able to defer to winter.
No need to withdraw your application, just send a mail with your new admission requesting for them to continue with your visa processing this winter. This will fly as it's still the same school that you're yet applying to.

For those who applied to HSHL and got that message regarding the rejection of your letter of proficiency...English Proficiency is accepted but on a particular condition.
I used English proficiency letter and mine scaled through.
I can't upload a copy of my doc on a general platform as NL but this is the help i can give, your english proficiency letter should carry a note stating your level of English proficiency according to the European Common framework of reference.
It must strictly adhere to this, based on this note from their website:

If a corresponding note is made on the school leaving certificate or school leaving certificate indicating the degree of English proficiency acquired in accordance with GER (minimum B2), one of the aforementioned certificates will not be submitted.

Finally done with my legalization of document at the Italian consulate for the purpose of citizenship... It was hectic but also fun. I learnt a lot through it all, don't follow the info on their website as most of it is outdated. After much gra-gra I picked up the legalized copy today having submitted it on Monday 25th of March, 2019

It's cost 15,400naira for each doc you wanna legalize as according to the category of citizenship legalization.
Sinc I was legalizing 3 documents, I paid a total of 46,200naira.

I'm writing this as my own way of giving back to this platform where I learnt a thing or two about the application procedure.

During the submission of my docs for legalization, they told me when to come for the collection and I was able to get it within the time given. I sent them an email after about one month that I applied for the DOV and they responded that they had been trying my number to tell me to come for the collection. So, I would advise you to book your appointments for the two collection sessions based on the time they tell you that your docs will be ready.

Please can you point me in the right direction on how to book for appointment for legalisation at the italian consulate lagos.
I've sent them emails but i'm yet to get a response from them, please help a brother out.

It doesn't have much things to do with his relationship with you, as someone who isn't tied to you by blood can also sign SL for you.
However there's an added advantage if you do show some kinda ties with your sponsor, at least he can fill something as simple as "Bekannte" in the column provided for relationship status.

No need chief, I've completed my research already regarding Italy... In Italy, you can only be issued a Verpflichtungserklärung if you have attachable income or assets in Germany.
So my relative is not qualified to be issued the doc as he has no income from Germany nor any asset in Germany.

That's the finding from my research.

Yeah, it means u're qualified to apply for subject related course... Like in my case Uniassist said I could apply for technical related courses

Don't lose hope yet... I'm currently doing research regarding this matter, it's possible for the German embassy in Rome to issue the Verpflichtungserklärung but there's a requirement your uncle will have to meet.
I can't say much until they reply my enquiry on the above mentioned matter.

Good day everyone. I need advice on my pending visa application. I went for interviewed on 17th August, AM came in on 13th of sept. My enrollment deadline was 11th oct. After my interview, I got disappointed by the person who's suppose to grant me SL. So ever since then I have been battling with a possible BA or SL to no avail. Few days before enrollment deadline I had to write my school. No room for enrollment extension, so I had to defer my admission till summer. Now I have a summer admission letter, and embassy is still having my documents expecting me to forward SL or BA for the winter. Here is my question: which will be more advisable between these two options
1) to secure the SL or BA, and forward it to embassy along with the summer admission letter and probably a travel insurance dated march 2019
Or
2) cancel my pending application with reasons, then apply afresh when all the requirements are available. And if I do this, I will like to know if there is specific time interval to reapply?

Forward your BA confirmation of funding/SL with passport, travel insurance, your new admission letter and a short letter explaining your situation... Then you're good to go, they will reprocess your case from beginning if you're sending a different school admission letter. If it's the same school, it will be reprocessed but way faster... Pls use a travel insurance dated for next year closer to your travel date.
This option is very possible and saves you the stress of paying another visa fee and conducting a new visa interview

Please house im having some challenges on my study enrollment date, i got an admission to uni jena medical photonic, my interview date is 12 September. but the final enrollment date of the university is 12th October. and the university dont want to issue an enrollment extension, what is my chance of the visa coming out out exactly one month. also having in mind i need some week to arrange for flight,

To you it might be. Hahaha. because what you stated as a problem was neva a problem to me and what you stated as being the easiest was neva easy for me (Thank GOD is now a tin of d past now).

In this race different persons with different challenge(s)/experience. So forget about village people and 1st check if the person is in same shoes with you b4 generalizing.

I know of someone whose sponsor base in DE and SL wasn't a challenge but for over 2 sections had admission challenges even with a good grade. As dere is another part called "Previous Course Content". If dis part speak against you hmmmm e pas village pple mata ooo

Ah finished o level since 2013 then did a course in boat and ship building under the school of marine engineering in maritime academy of Nigeria.went for IT at they end of the first two yrs becos it is a polytechnic buh u know our country nah everything still based on long leg am suppose to go bk last yr to complete wat ah have started. At the brink of purchasing the form for hnd. the minister surperversing our school amechi suspended further intake due to administrative issues. Nw ah went to collect ma ond cert only to be told that it is not available, that they are planing on converting the school to full university so therefor they won't b issuing ond cert. the whole matter tire me

Chief you can do one year study at NOUN( National Open University of Nigeria) while still learning ur German language... I think there's a computer related course there called Data analytics study.
By the time you're done with both your NOUN program and also improving your German language proficiency, you'll be glad u took that time out when you get to Deutschland.

Make daad.de your best friend, you will find such courses there, also broaden your search by removing the TU9 ish from your mind as all schools in Germany are of international standard.

I would like to know if they also consider our CGPA when we apply with our transcripts.

For BSc they usually don't consider it as much as they do for MSc... But it does pay to have a high CGPA for BSc and also apply to courses that are in line with ur current BSc cos in your case you haven't completed your BSc program yet.
I know one Egbon who finished with his BSc in Chemistry and yet applied for another BSc in mechatronics and Business & Engineering, he got the admission.

Among getting admission for bsc, getting visa and looking for the damn 8640€ when I almost have zero naira now , which is easier

Admission is d easiest... Cos if u can get BA or SL then Visa is almost 80% sure! Except your village people are actively holding vigil on your matter then u better run to MFM

Why not do 100Level here in Nigeria and then use ur 100level transcript to apply for an English taught BSc program in computer science at Ulm

Ah have been following up for a while buh it seems this trend is mostly for MSC aspirants, I am going for bachelor, pls if there is a separate thread for bsc ah will b glad to join and if this thread serves for both
Ah would b happy if ma ogas here would epp me out cos by December ah will b having b1.and am currently r running ma language class with Schneider institute ph the director said he would assist me with the admission processing and all at the charge of 250k
To me the amount seems much. So ma ogas is there any other easy alternative or should ah go with processing.
A swift response will b highly appreciated

What degree qualification do you currently have and what BSc course are u looking to study in Germany(plus which language of instruction do u wanna use)
