Not necessarily. Back in the days I had a GSD that would turn against any stud I got to mate with her. I even got an experienced setter still no dice. On the next heat however I got a stud to stay over at my end and while I kept the stud sequested you could see she was flirting with him. When I was sure she will not be aggressive anymore I released both into same area with direct contact. I had barely turned my back and the stud was humping already. This went on for about 2 times within 3 hours and loads over the next three days. So I believe familiarisation is key. Although some studs are rabble rousing pros....They know how to get around some shakara bit.ches

Apart from what arcbay had said some female dogs don't take to some male ones just like that. It may not be a bad idea to let her familiarise with the stu.d for a while. You'd see she is not far from being a bit.ch that she is actually.

I had her returned to me after spending a day with the first stud because of her refusal and aggression on the stud. Got another stud again for her to my house , as I speak the stud has spent 3 good days now with her and still no show. Boss is it that I took her out for mating too early before the peak period of her heat or too late.

You shld have brought this up in here before embarking on the mating thingy... Anyways, not too late. I'm sure it's her first time, that's the more reason she's reluctant. Notwithstanding, u need to wait till ovulation is at its peak, that'll be between 9-14 days depending on ur dog.

Also, u don't expect her to take it cool at the start... You need a setter, an expert to assist with the mating process.

Hmmm that means i took her out for mating too early and also too late. She is in her 18th day as i speak.Thanks for the advice boss.

My 14 months old GSD that is on heat is refusing to mate. I got a male for her in her first few days of entering heat she refused the male mounting her, in fact she grew so aggressive towards the male. I had to consult Google and decided to wait a week and some days later for the bloody discharge to seize according to what I read online but she is still not playing balls. I had to get like 3 different studs still no show. What could be the cause.

She took all her vaccinations from her third month to her fifth month.
She was so picky and hardly eats anything apart from the JoJo dog meal.

If I try giving her a home made meal it must be crushed with either chicken or fish. It had a toll on my pockets but I never noticed because I was doing it for a pet I love.

Sure. U are seeing a plaster on her right leg, the seller sold me to her knowing fully well she had a broken leg but deceived because I was a novice and told me that's how GSD walk when they are still puppies. I believed him on getting home I did some research and discovered he lied but I still went ahead to keep the dog because she had already began bonding with me.
I never gave up on her,I followed her up with every medication I could find then.

In few weeks she was OK.

I did my survey and research on Google and also this forum and I fell in love with GSD and made up my mind to get one for myself.
I searched around but was always seeing cross bred dogs, I never gave up till I met a vet doctor who sold My beauty Rado to me exactly at 8 weeks old. Radio was born on the 4th day of may 2014.

From experience drag her to the spot and deep her face into the hole then beat her real hard with a belt, do this two to three times in a row and u will never see her digging the ground again. I know hitting of dogs ain't right but at a times its better to spoil the rod and spare the dog.

Menn dealing with ticks ain't easy at all. Early this month ticks almost took over my crib and my dog. Used azinthol for where? They refused dieing. I had to improvise by mixing azinthol, kerosene and izal to spray and wash my compound and my dog's cage and it worked like magic. Today my dog is tick free also my compound but I gave my dog enough cups of palm oil before spraying her to avoid regret.
