Politics › Re: He Is Our Demi God Compadium Of 9 Powerful Quotes Of Ojukwu By Ifeduba by ahaz: 3:23pm On Aug 18, 2015
tochukwuifeduba:
1. The history of the world is a chronicle of oppression.

2. Since oppression is maintained by force, it is only possible to remove that oppression by a counterforce.

3. The illegal regime in Lagos under Gowon has accused Biafra of playing politics with her people’s misery. Our answer is simple: “We do not play politics. We are not masochists; rather, we are a people who choose to hunger a little to remain alive instead of feeding fat to become respectable corpses.”

4. We do not ask for pity. We make no apologies for the social phenomenon known as the Biafran revolution; rather, we proclaim with pride the inevitability of our struggle, the indestructability of our people, and the assured finality of our success.

5. Biafra is a child of circumstance…His existence and survival are always a marvel, sometimes bordering on a miracle. His life is a tribute to man, his courage is his endurance, his ingenuity is his humanity.

6. For unity to be meaningful it has to be creative, not the unity of Jonah in the whale but the unity of holy matrimony. The first can only lead to defecation, the second to procreation.
ojukwu-biafra1

7. If a leader accepts himself as already dead to society, there will be no reason for cowardice in his leadership. One thing that frightens leaders and lead them to a number of excesses is usually fear of death. No leader should fear death. In fact, you should accept the fact that from the moment of leadership you are sacrificed to death. Each subsequent day becomes a bonus for the preparation of one’s memorial.

8. What I have become, in this struggle is the mouthpiece of my people. I go where they push and no more. The day I think otherwise, the day I act otherwise, that day my people, without compromising the struggle, will find another person to express their aspirations.

9. We are humans. We live. We fight, fight because the decision to be free is a decision taken freely and collectively, because to become involved in violent struggle for freedom is the only honor left to an oppressed people threatened with genocide, because in the final analysis the only true bulwark against death is to live. Biafra rejects death…Biafra lives

While complaing about Oyo dragging SW down. Did you extrapolate the sizeable non-indigenous population of Lagos who are mainly of SE/SS origin and educated. Will you objectively concede that their population also helped to raise the SW literacy average?

All South South States have relatively good/average rankings.
Within South West and South Eastern zones however, there are Huge regional variations. Oyo for example brings down the South West Average. It has a Huge population, and the literacy youth literacy rate there is at 88.4%, compared to a state like Ekiti over 96% of Lagos over 99%. But most states there outperform most states in the SS.

And then, that is just one of two data sets I presented. Did you see the second? SS ranks 2nd.
my dear tell that to the marines.no one is more educationally sophisticated than the other down south.

Meanwhile, the emir of kano, lamido sanusi said it clearly that Yorubas are the problems of Nigeria and that's perfectly true. The Yorubas always tarnish the image of Nigeria abroad, they are the one running the scam industry of Nigeria and they are responsible for bad government in Nigeria. Because they're just lazy. BUT Hausa and igbo are independent of the government money, they are the businessmen of Nigeria. That's why the igbos are controlling the economy of lagos and ibadan , and the lazy yorobbers from lagos are doing agbero at oshodi causing mayhem all over the place. Forming street cults and gunning themselves down, face it or leave it , with the hausa domination of the foreign exchange, igbo dominating the market , niger deltans dominating the oil sector , the yoruba are busy dominating the scam sector and the eiye cult group.

Non sense! Because Fashola have some beef with Tinubu reason we are hearing Fashola did this and Fashola did that, Tinubu by far did worse than Fashola why aint anything been said about him..........hypocrisy!
Tinubu did nothing in Lagos State, No work was done by Tinubu when he was Governor of Lagos State, Fashola at least by far worked more than Tinubu if he ever did in any work. So his intention is to have Fashola tied to his Apron for live............its control freaks mentality!
this Is not an excuse.gej is suffering for objs corruption so fashola must suffer for tinubus.so there must he a scape goat.

I am from Edo State. Many of my friends in delta (isoko, itsekiri, urhobo) share the same view with me.

Why are you having headache? you guys are so deluded!!! you think everything good is yours!! you think you can re-write history with propaganda? we both agree that Nigeria should divide. let south south form his own nation/nations why you form yours. what is paining you? you Igbo are so arrogant? you are the one changing history. Before colonialisation, most of south south today were all part of Benin Empire. read your history books. You guys with ur greed you want to steal all of them as yours. if there was no oil in south south will you want to add them to Biafra at all cost? why are you not adding benue and igala who are also your neighbours too by all means? thieves!!! you think everybody is a fool. don't worry, let the time come when Nigeria will divide, you will be shocked how much south south nationalities want to be alone.
Biafra was created in 1967 and had terminal stroke in 1970. most of these south south nationalities are older than Biafra.
oh my gosh no one will be this stupid. For your info am an ikwere man ND can tel u that ikwere migrated from nkwere in imo state so keep your Toronto history to yourself. As for biafra, the igbos don't need we nija deltans to survive rather we need them. So you can go to hell with your cousins West ward and leave the igbos they re never ur problems

You people need to be careful when spreading lies on social media. Because any person can design these with photoshop and start spreading false news on line. There are many crazy people on social media.

Any matter that concerns the government is always a sensitive issue among the masses and people who have no inside knowledge of anything are the ones that make the loudest noise. It is important that in this age of fast information (mostly false and cooked) flying around, we need the promoters of these info to provide solid evidence and proof, documents etc to support their claims. We are old enough for these types of unverified info flying around. Nairaland should please do justice to this request on this regards, to verify info like this before even letting a thread stay on the forum for even five minutes.
