Recently noticed that DSTV created a new channel SS3N on Channel 204 in a bid to hang on to Nigerian football viewers who have been switching to hiTV, especially with the rumour that hiTV now has exclusive rights to Champions League in Nigeria for 2009. Has DSTV lost this segment of the market and what does it spell for the business? For me, I like the idea of PROUDLY NIGERIAN, , though hiTV still have some areas of improvement, |
Any website or email address so we can see some samples of the quality you can delivery ? |
Pls be careful, a lot of fake guys are out there. Go only with the establishments after checking them out. Omo nile, NOT AN OPTION AT ALL, even if the land is FREE, they are terrible people. Everybody seems to be into real estate in Nigeria, especially with what happened with the Stock Market, and trust Nijja people to over kill this sector. Pls, check well before you part with money. All the best. |
Crude price = $40.54, How troubled are Nigeria's finances now ![]() |
We have had the chance to resolve the Niger Delta crisis, we didn't. We have not been able to develop our oil industry nor our infrastructure or economy. World economic crisis is the song , and the developed world are working very hard to reduce their dependence on oil, so things can only get worse. Now as a nation we will learn the hard way, everybody will feel the heat, North, East, West, South, As a nation, we don't deserve to be pitied, we didn't do the right thing at the right time, now we will suffer it all. I live in Nigeria too, so I hope the suffering won't be too much, |
Any website address? |
One of the few things I envy Americans for is their desire not to be biased. They try most times (even though they might not be successful) to judge people by what they can do for the nation and not by race, gender, religion, ethnicity etc. If only we can borrow a leaf from this. I just cant understand how the religion of a serving public servant should be the interest? Why not what he has done for the state, what he can still do and any advice to make things better. Why do we channel our ideas to Negative things? How does one opening prayer in one single event translate to a "Muslim State" Isn't Dubai (UAE) a Muslim State, see where they are, do you know how many Nigerians go there annual to patronise their economy? |
Soon, will there be money to share? Soludo has said it, no money in excess crude account again http://www.vanguardngr.com/content/view/19227/41/ The Oil Companies are trying to run from Nigeria, but NNPC is locking them down with the legal terms of their Joint Venture Agreements. (they have pulled a lot of their foreign staff out, offloaded local staff, cancelled major projects, suspended new investments, ) Some say they cant go, Hmm. Some say they haven't done us any good, ?? I ask, Should we be going backward or forward? Nigerian Government ?Looking forward to the debate on this forum when the first Major Oil Company decides to pull out, till then, |
I think this foolish woman should be publicly "addressed" by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Her show should be banned from Nigeria airways!!! It is still a statement of fact that "419 easily catches the greedy ones", though not an excuse for the many Nigerian 419 people. But they should educate their people to stop looking for mind blowing deals from Africa?? |
The Oil price is on the way down, $72.54, Good for us, The US and other nations are getting serious about alternate energy. Let's watch and see where we will end up, as we as a Nation have refused to plan. Once the global oil demand and it's price comes down, we would see what is left fighting over. Foolish politicians have refused to do the right thing. Some of our people have not taken a just stand on what is wrong and how to correct it. May the Almighty Lord be with the just ones !! |
Even an oil worker in Nigeria cannot afford such rents. It's coming soon, the end of this property bubble, , we are seeing it in the stock market, A lot of oil companies are trying to stream down their Nigerian operations (moving to other African countries) When they eventually start reducing their footprint, we would see. Many are saying, they cant go because of the oil, but that's not true, it only needs to get bad enough, |
Insurance works for cars, just choose the right insurance company. A friend's car was stolen, luckily the month before he insured it. He got back N 1m after 90 days. Better safe than sorry. The key thing is, as the car ages, you start to wonder the odds of it stolen and the amount it cost to insure it. Do the maths well, |
Well done to the guys !! I was most impressed when they went over and celebrated with their COACH, it shows unity and with that anything is possible. Wish them the best in the final. In an era where "Some Assumed Big Boys" ignore national call up, it's clear we can always groom new talent. Enjoy, |
Simple Problem, Simple Solution = "DEATH PENALTY FOR CONVICTED CORRUPT LEADERS" |
Well, I hope the Americans & Japanese work on alternative fuelling quickly so that the demand for this oil would reduce. Nations have oil and have built string economies ! Nations dont have oil and have also built strong economies ! Agreed, in the past, our leaders have not been committed to the Niger Delta development, but tell me anywhere in the world where violence has solved problems. Remember oil is a finite reserve, eventually it would not be as abundant as we see it now, then ask yourself what the children of tomorrow would think of their forefathers. The companies are gradually & quietly shifting their investment to more peaceful countries (though they deny it !), even Angola coming out of a war have learnt and are planning well. Every body has a part to play in this mess, but if one group decides not to make it work, it wont, but believe me, the day might/would come when Nigerians might sit down and bite their fingers saying if they had known. On the issue of flaring, let me clarify something:- "These companies are Joint ventures, typically made up of say 4 companies (including NNPC representing government). The spread is that NNPC is typically 51% owner, funding and revenue are shared based on equity ownership. Over the years the government has not been funding their part and as such the JV's cannot execute the projects that would put flares out." The best we can do is to be honest about this issues and tackle them. Greatness of a nation is not by oil revenue but the wisdom to apply the wealth properly. The Nigerian greed is just too much ! I recommend DEATH PENALTY for corruption ! (National Assembly would never agree to this !!!!) |
Hi, Please can you kindly help with this Toyota Camry CE 1999 VIN 4T1BG22K9XU521117 Thanks a lot |
Hi, Does anyone know the best engine oil grade to use for a 1999 Toyota Camry? Engine oil cap reads 5W-30, been an American specs, that might be the best for their climate and not necessarily ours. Thanks |

Good day, Need neat 2 or 3 bedroom in - Gbagada - Ogudu - Magodo |
Good day, Please I need a 2/3 bedroom in Gbagada/Ilupeju axis Budget ******* 2 bedroom - 250k 3 bedroom - 350k Thanks |
Maybe Topography is an issue in respect of this. Would request for a recalibration after comparing with other viewers in Warri. Thanks for the advice |
The information, I got from them is that they are still working on the satellite channels. My guess is that it would take them a while to sort things out. I am based in the Warri and do experience breaking picture frequently. DSTV has been here for about 9 years, so HITV might be allowed more time, but they need to tell us and show us they are working on these things. Customer patience is very short nowadays (ask the telecomms companies, pple switch at will) They should sit up and rise to the occasion. After all, we also want to brag PRODULY NIGERIAN, but only hard work and dedication would get HITV there. |
Pls I am also interested in affordable 2/3 bedroom in Ogudu GRA or Gbagada. Thanks |
