With all these infrastructure in place, how come I cant see houses under construction?

brabus: That's Marine Plex Plywood used for construction (Formwork). In this project, I'm using it on the first floor slab (specific areas like the porch, ante, main lounge, lobby) to achieve a very smooth and flat surface. It is also a very good construction material used in solving the problems of leakage and rough surface during construction process.

Sounds like a very good material.

What is cost difference of goldplex vs normal wood?

If POP ceiling would be installed, what advantage does a smoother finish of goldplex have over a normal finish of wood?

If wood is used, does plastering the ceiling after decking equal goldplex results?

We gave our windows vertical emphasis by making the vertical dimension proportionately larger than the horizontal one. That way we can get the light we wanted.

We also planned our windows considering the following :

Thermal Heat Loss: we want this house to be energy efficient.

Ventilation: Windows provide ventilation to rooms and the extent of ventilation is dependent on the use and the size of the room.

This new window design seems to be the most common nowadays. I believe some call it "french windows"
Formerly normal window has 4 coaches above DPC before window base.
Just depends on personal preference.

Some people say they are the best, they are expensive though at N3,500/sqm for classic and a typical 2 nos duplex been
500sqm (estimate) puts roofing sheets alone at N1.75m, and accessories+installation, you could be looking at total of N2m.

Anyone got figures for other similar good quality roof tiles?

U making sense here because wichtech is quite expensive... though the quality is quite good...

It would make sense to physically compare samples of different suppliers, and maybe do a laboratory strength test

To out do a competitor, one needs to justify the strength as been equal or better and then secondly as been cheaper.

Handex: Good job Segun, my only observation was that your foundation @ the DPC level does not include hardcore which may likely result to crack in the ground floor flab. Except if the foundation thickness is adequate enough.
Secondly, you work without consciousness for safety for you and your workers which is not a professional ethics. All the same a job well done as in the frame structure.

if you look well at the picture, the ground around the accident scene does not look as bad as the story portrays it?
