Are the pilots and passengers above the law. The fly in in of this passengers into Rivers state has no economic benefit to Rivers state. They fly in from Lagos and leave the state in ruins. They live in Lagos and spend in Lagos. They should work in Lagos.
Rivers state had got nothing to lose if they stop flying in. After all, MEND shut down the oil industry a fee years ago for all the injustice. The injustice continues. Do, if COVID19 issues will help shut down the oil industry in Rivers State and let them have a clean environment to fish and farm, better for them.
The FG is so insensitive to the common man and can not even provide decent hospitals to fight against COVID19. Why risk the health of Rivers residents when they gain nothing from the passengers of the Caverton helicopters?

spyder880: I have thought about this a lot and even did some research on this. But the problem is the perception of our people when they think that every floor must be concrete to survive the tropics. I know of lots of colonial buildings here in Enugu done with wooden deck and I still frequent those offices and nothing dey happen.

But before we think of wooden floors, we must remember that there are special woods for the floors. Another problem is that the engineers in our government approval process might never approve a building plan prepared with wooden floors.

Not until after birth, I saw what was an estimated clinic bills: 6k, and hospital bill $16kplus. This although was due to the fact that she had to be attended to specially due to some minor complications during labor.

Now if I am gonna have to pay,they'll have to cancel the medical insurance, and also they'll slash the bill 52% off, which will still bring about an affordable amount for me to pay.

ayinba1: Whatever you set out to do, write and save all correspondence. If you tell the hospital to return the money to medicaid, write a letter, send it with registered mail. Save receipts or any payments that you make.

brabus: The choice of casement or sliding windows is a matter of taste and function.

Sliding windows are my preferred choice to use between two living spaces because they don't take up space when open.
In my personal opinion and in my case 'cos I'm building a house with a wraparound terrace, I choose functionality over beauty.

The cost benefits of using Marine Plex Plywood over Traditional Timber is so much. Here are few reasons you might want to give it a trial.

Smooth Finish: It is possible to have smooth finish where cost in surface finishing is involved. Thus saving you the cost of plastering the slab.

Labour Cost Reduction: Marine Plywoods come in large size panels which means it is possible to earn some savings in the labour cost/time of fixing and removal.

Reusable: Unlike Timbers, marine plywooda can be reused for numerous times. Huge savings for people building more than one house.

Lightweight: the weight of a typical formwork panel (1800mm x 1200mm x 17mm) is 18kg. It can be easily transported from site to site.

Lastly, always keep in mind the impact of disposal. Of all building products, planks presents the greatest concerns when it comes to reuse or disposal. The plywood on the other hand presents least concern.

The cost of a sheet of plywood (1800mm x 1200mm) ranges between N6,000 - N8,500 while a plank (300mm x 3600mm) costs N950.

Lets assume we want to cover a sitting room which is about 30sqm, we will use 10 sheets of plywood which will cost about N50,000 or use 30 pcs of 1 x 12 planks which will cost about N30,000
