skullz: How do you fire without a lock? Missiles locks are a function of radar not heat..The purpose of deploying flares against high velocity heat seeking projectiles is easily defeated when a bomber aircraft sacrifices agility, manouervability and just plain speed for stealth that is why we have bomber escorts...Or is a bomber capable of extreme g-force just to evade a missile without knocking out its pilots?? |
Wallie: True except if I'm always present in the sky above and on the ground in your midst to see your movements! Spy satellites, drones and special forces make for a deadly combination. Before actual fighting begins, special forces are already behind enemy lines doing their thing! My point is, fighting war is not as unidimensional as what most people think! With a very good crew manning a mobile system capable of 20 mile radius and 10km altitude detection there is not a chance in hell fire any bogey can get within 10 miles how much more in our midst.. you be ghost??..Yes war isnt unidimensional that is why it has evolved into another dimension...the age of self propelled ballistic weaponry...? |
Gynacologist: u wan Bleep am? Sharrap!!... |
skullz: by MOBILITY I hope you mean DISAPPEAR By mobility,we mean 4-wheel drive sometimes the most simplest inventions can get the hardest tasks done. Now using the aforementioned principle, heatseekers are a surefire way to hunting B-2s....except if they exhaust cold-air contrails from their afterburners... |
Wallie: Kinda like the first few days of the Kosovo and Iraq wars? All you see is the sky being lit up by anti-aircraft weapons and you wonder what they were shooting at! You cannot hit what you cannot see unless you got lucky! Just like the advent of the wheel, the advent of mobility has given stationery military assets e.g artillery, radar stations even runways(air craft carriers) an edge in the fight for supremacy. So if i command a SAM battery transporter,we get decoyed into an ambush then we must change location and counter.....its a lot less riskier than commanding from a stationery radar station-bunker.. |
skullz: .......................................................................Please Read. What concept of the word MOBILITY do you not understand?? If an invader tracks a radar signature for interdiction how does the invader know that particular station isnt mobile and so must have changed locations?! thus leaving itself vulnerable to a counterattack. |
Lantean: I agree to a point... that advanced missiles will be the test of military aircrafts not the price tag. Military strategies evolve with each coming conflicts at different terrain and circumstances even to this day and those that are adaptable to every offensive, not necessarily advanced or expensive weaponry no matter how appropriate, will win a war.During naval warfare in the WWII the most expensive and destructive weaponry was the Battle ships, extremely armoured with long range guns this juggernauts can strike targets beyond the horizon......Until it was proven that a single aircraft could strafe, bomb and sink a dreadnought class. Then it became a race to mass produce cheap aircraft-carriers to deploy massive number of bombers after which it became who had the most advanced Aircraft carriers and now attention has been turned to the aircrafts themselves.Discerning nations like Russia are looking at the armaments, the missiles.Even nuclear weapons are deemed vulnerable when deployed on aircraft's bays than those with SSM capabilities. Why waste resources on a missile carrier when you can conjure up a missile, much robust, evasive with bigger warheads and very mobile up to mach 3 from launcher to target....So the aircraft is a function of an obsolete strategy that will get terribly exposed and shown to be useless no matter how expensive it was made in a coming World War.... |
skullz: Ok..Goodluck Deploying Armoured divisions with extensive artillery or/including mobile SAM and SAS system support would be a very good projection... |
skullz: So in essence if you are in charge of an army you would deploy more SAM batteries?? Every military era comes with its own advancements and obscolesences. The era of Gun powder,Fixed or Mobile artillery,Iron-clad Battle ships,Aircrafts-carriers,Aircrafts....Now we are looking at the age of SAMs and SASs... |
I pray Nadia Buhari is alright....That gal too fine,damn!... |
Lantean: Com'on. You don't think they woulda factored all manners of enemy weaponry into their designs. So as most SAMs can reach altitudes of up to 10km and range of 20km, there isnt any need to sight the enemy before launching.Either way, aircrafts these days are very vulnerable to guided surface fire, especially high altitude long range projectiles.I foresee the next air war to be on a juncture as to who deploys the most advanced SAM batteries....Not the most expensive Aircrafts. |
Where is the wisdom buildin such expensive hardware when they can be shoot down by SAM sites which cost less than 1/10 to set up....Except they come with Standard ECM... |
Mikel has told friends he won't say no to his hometown club Enyimba to a loan move this summer his agent Shittu is working furiously with CEO Felix Anyansi Agwu behind the scenes to bring the catalyst to the three time African Champions Club.... |
Out of 10 sufferers only one makes it alive...guess our subject won his lottery ticket... |
Closing Airports, blocking Maritime from afflicted countries and shuttin down land borders are surefire approaches of combating Ebola spread... |
Just recollected his threat to self defending middle belters about killing rampagin fulani invaders and their blood to be paid in full via revenge attacks,i guess somebody threw a back-to-sender at the supporter of APC... |
Illorin belongs to the Caliphate and it is an historical symbol of the master and slave relationship between the Fulanis and yororbas spiritually, militarily and politically to this day....full stop. |
Source? Don't tell me this rag was culled from Osun defender...or Propaganda machine,naij.com?? |
They should go all the way shutting down shipping lanes from Ghana,Cote de ivoire,Guinea,Gambia,Sierra Leone,Senegal, Liberia and foriegn owned ships with these countries as their home ports...The last thing we need is an infected sea merchant man roaming the dense brothels of Obalende...... |
Mumu, how do you think Ebola got to the bush meat e.g Monkey,Chimps and Gorillas, if not by eatin dropped left over fruits from infected fruit bats?!...Fire roasting infected bushmeats cannot kill the virus... |
Ebola...A ravaging pestilence never seen before since the spanish influenza epidemic... |
Mikel should leave that Chelsae and come to Enyimba...We need him. |
Hope they aren't sending these fine soldiers to the front without adequate close air support or artillery cover... |
This makes perfect sense... |
Ibadah is all we are looking for.... |
