Beautiful piece brother. Jazakallahu khairan |
jerryfunky:Impressive. |
Taichimaster:Yes. They told us to fill the boxes using those digits. How you do it was not specified. I didn't necessarily go against their instruction cus my answer includes digits from the possible options we have. |
(7.5) + (7.5) + (15)
They never said we couldn't use decimals ![]() |
Jazakallahu khairan brother. Even though I'm still behind in the rules. As you advised earlier, trying not to rush with each rule so I'm taking my time with every one. I'm presently on the nun sakinah and tanween rules. I understand and can identify most of them, still only the ikhfaa that I'm struggling a bit with (At times, I mistakenly pronounce the ghunnah in full). |

I admire here for standing firm for what is right. No ignorant alfa should be allowed to hold them to ransom over the nikkah. |
Honestly, I think there's a lot of hypocrisy with the western countries. They are always quick to claim they are the ones championing the cause for freedom of expression but yet they are forcing people to disregard their faith and conform with their secular principles. And after, they'll label us Muslims as being intolerant. Double standard! |
A Muslim woman has left her job in Sweden after being told she must shake hands with her male colleagues. Fardous El-Sakka had been working as a supply teacher for Kunskapsskolan, a group of independent schools in Helsingborg, since August. The 20-year-old had chosen not to shake hands with her male colleagues and instead preferred to put her hand on her heart and bow as a greeting. But when one of her male colleagues took offence, Ms Sakka was ordered to go to a meeting with the principal and told she must conform to the institution’s "core values " if she wanted to remain working there. Helsingborg Kunskapsskolan principal Lidijia Münchmeyer told Swedish newspaper Expressen that the man in question felt “tremendously discriminated against”. She said: “The school doesn’t differentiate between people or treat them differently. That’s what we advocate from our students, so the staff also have to do that.” But Ms Sakka, who stopped working at the school immediately, drew the case to the attention of the Equality Ombudsman. As a member of the Unionen teaching union, her case was subsequently referred to them instead. Ms Sakka told The Local it was the first time anyone had ever objected to her not shaking their hand and said she did not think she would be able to return. She said: “It’s a special school for me because I was a student there. But I don’t think I can see a way back there now.” In a statement reported by The Local , Ms Münchmeyer stressed that the school did not fire Ms Sakka and that she “chose to leave after I explained what the school’s core values are”. “I would also like to carefully point out that the issue was not her religious beliefs, but rather it is about choosing to treat men and women differently by shaking the hands of women but not men”, she added. The incident comes just months after a Swedish city councillor was forced to resign after refusing to shake hands with a female journalist due to his religious beliefs. Green Party politician Yasri Khan said shaking hands with someone from the opposite sex was too “intimate” and instead chose to put his hand over his heart. The affair prompted a race row in Sweden where Mr Khan dismissed his critics as “Islamophobic” and his detractors said his behaviour was insulting to women. The Swedish Prime Minister, Stefan Lofven, even waded into the debate saying that in Sweden, “you shake hands with both women and men”. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/muslim-woman-leaves-job-after-being-told-to-shake-hands-with-male-colleagues-a7324591.html |
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji ' un. May Allah forgive him and strengthen his family to bear this loss. |
lexiconkabir:Okay. Will make inquiries. |
lexiconkabir:Alright. Where would you suggest? |
lexiconkabir:It's something I've put some consideration into and hopefully intend to. How exactly do you mean a formal institution? |
Contact17:Wa Antum fa Jazakumullahu khayran |
Jazakallahu khairan. I think I understand what you've explained. In sha Allah, I'll try and look out for all these things later this evening. |
Asalam Alaykum brother. I learnt about the stop signs today and I've been trying to practice the proper way of using them. Quick question though: There are situations where I'm in the middle of a verse and I run out of breath, meaning I have to forcefully stop at a word where there's no stop sign. I read that if one stops in places like this, then I have to rewind some words back to the start of the phrase or sentence. How do I go about this? For someone who doesn't yet understand the Arabic language, I can't fully tell which point is the start of a phrase in the verse. Mostly just use my discretion in such cases. |
@nisol Bravo. Really appreciate this wonderful work you've done. I'm still quite new to PCB design. My venture started early this year when I was building my project which is still my only PCB work till date. It was a single layer design and the software I used then was Proteus ARES. Used a pressing iron for imprinting the toner on the board and I didn't even bother to include the silkscreen. I've learnt new tips here which I'll make sure I apply when next I'm building. Definitely gonna be a double layer design. |
lexiconkabir:Alright. I'll be updating you here as I'm making progress little by little. And also when I need to ask some questions, if it's not too much trouble. |
lexiconkabir:Yes sir. Presently doing that. |
lexiconkabir:Alright. Thank you. |
AbdelKabir:Just to show the brother some of these proofs. Imam Ahmad (5583) narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw a boy, part of whose hair had been shaved and part had been left. He forbade that and said: “Shave it all or leave it all.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade qaza’. Al-Bukhaari (5921) and Muslim (2120) narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade qaza’. Naafi’ was asked: What is al-qaza’? He said: Shaving part of a boy’s head and leaving part. May Allah guide us. |
lexiconkabir:Have the app now. But since the main interface is in Arabic, I don't really know what each topic actually is. |
lexiconkabir:Amin |
lexiconkabir:I'll check this out. Thank you |
lexiconkabir:Alright. Patiently waiting. Though, I recently stumbled upon a video series on tajweed by Yasir Qadhi. Haven't gone too far in it but he started by treating each of the letters. |
lexiconkabir:Jazakallahu khairan brother. I honestly can relate with all these. When I was taught then, they only seemed to care about how fast one can recite and not really how well. This thread came at the perfect timing for me. Alhamdulillah, tajweed is one aspect I've been trying to take time to learn over the last few weeks. Hoping for some real improvements, in sha Allah. |
lexiconkabir:I can imagine |
lexiconkabir:So would I. All the people I know that have been there have always spoken highly of the place. Even one of my aunts who is a non-muslim. Sadly, the media propaganda about the north gives many people here a general bad impression of it. |
Eid Mubarak brothers and sisters!!! |
I also got this invite . From the little research I've done on them, they seem very legit. |
