I can't believe they are calling this a "generous action." poverty has so hoodwinked people in this country to the extent that almost anything can be tagged as generous and kindhearted.

what happened to giving to an orphanage, paying hospital bills, school fees, house rent, donating clothes you're no longer wearing; shoes, bags. Looks like these things have gone out of vogue. E no dey trend!

That is the problem of an average Nigerian. We tend to abuse, saturate and make mockery every opportunity we get.

Open say, a recharge card vending business in a location in a small street, before you say, jack 100 of Nigerians would abandon every other Business they were into, and open the same business as your in that same location, before long, everywhere would saturated and that particular kind of business killed off.

This is for all the young ladies looking for husbands. And for the men too who have sisters, nieces and friends.

Pls tell them to steer clear of jobless PASTORS aka Men Of God.

There is nothing worse than a man who claims to be called by God but doesn't have any work.

A pastor with no handwork, no skills no steady source of income. If you marry am you go suffer oooh!

At least the pastor should be under a ministry or church organization that has a great internal structure for example Living faith, Redeem, Deeper life, CAC, Baptist, ECWA, MFM, Methodist e.t.c Not all these 1 man pilot churches.

He must then possess one or two skills, so that if church income doesn't enter he can be Barbing hair or painting to offset domestic needs.

I am writing this because I have come across 3 real life situations where the pastor and his family are struggling, one was my neighbor. The children aren't going to school, if his wife wants to cook, it's with wood they gather and the man's church is inside his house, meaning he is not under any ministry.

The second scenario is happening to a close female friend, this one her husband is the pastor he is a furniture designer, the struggle is real for their family too. no steady income, children aren't in school and to make matters worse the lady lost her job.

The third is a male relative of mine who is a pastor, who was advised to join a ministry when he was younger and unmarried, he refused. Over 10 years down the line he is now struggling with his wife.

With the level of unemployment and financial illiteracy in Nigeria plus inflation and increasing cost of living my advise to any young lady is to steer clear from any so called pastor seeking your hand in marriage until he can show workings either as a pastor of an already existing well established ministry or while holding down a job and/or using a skill.

Marry with sense. Things don Change.

To pastors reading this go and learn something, acquire a job, join a ministry, build a house, buy a car, before marrying someone's daughter and bringing children into the world to collect premium Sapa.
