It would be unfair not sharing my experience here, I learnt all I did on here.

My experience at Alimosho center on 14/02/2023. I got there quarter to 10, I met a guy at the gate who asked for my purpose and i inquired to know his business with what I came to to do..

Got into the hall met one Officer 👮‍♀️ Tunde who also asked for my purpose which I narrated to him, he then requested for 3500 to open a file as per DIY and another 5500 to push it in. I was like fun ki ni (For what) He then said I should call anybody I know that is the modus operandi. I ignored him went to meet another Officer Adeyemo and told him my purpose as per DIY, he pointed at an officer BELLO at servicecom (Seated at one corner). I told him I have an appointment to.. before I could land he requested for my documents, vetted the documents and asked me to write an application which I did, he then asked me to seat.

After about 10minutes I went to meet him he told me he’s about taking my file inside. The officer BELLO was extremely polite and professional.

I waited for about 30 minutes before I was called for capturing. After capturing I was given a paper with my name and sum numbers.

Before leaving the hall I tracked my application, passport production in progress.

I didn’t spend a dime till I left about 12noon.

Umuahia passport office is the most corrupt I have seen so far. The PCO, a woman officer has ruined there. After paying online, I was told to pay a mandatory fee of 13k saying it's for logistics.. then after that I was told to pay for useless fast track of 20k which I refused. it's almost 4 weeks I applied for passport reissue..
EFCC N ICPC pls come investigate that PCO in umuahia.. I will get her name next time.

President Buhari extends the validity of old notes till April 10th

President Muhammadu Buhari is considering extending the validity of old naira notes by 60 days, TheCable understands.

This is to avoid disobeying the order of the Supreme Court of Nigeria which ruled that the old N1,000, N500 and N200 notes remain valid until it delivers judgment in the case filed by some states against the federal government.

The CBN had insisted that the deadline of February 10 would not be changed but a senior government official told TheCable that Buhari was worried about the hardship faced by Nigerians as well as the legal implications of disobeying the order of the constitutional court.

The official told TheCable that this was the focus of a meeting between Buhari and the leadership of Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) as well as the Progressives Governors Forum until the early hours of Wednesday.

Engr. Bashir I. Bashir, who was said to have dropped his governorship ambition on the platform of Labour Party and defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, never belonged to the party, the State Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Abdullahi Raji has said.

“In fact he has never at any time been on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, portal as LP’s gubernatorial flagbearer,” the Chairman added.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been directed by a Federal High Court in Kano to recognise and publish Bashir Ishaq Bashir’s name as the Labour Party’s legally nominated candidate for the 2023 Gubernatorial Candidate along with Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi as his running mate.

The judge also declared that any Gubernatorial election conducted by INEC in Kano State without Bashir’s name being published and included as one of the contestants for the Kano State Gubernatorial poll is illegal, unconstitutional, null and void.

He consequently ordered INEC to accept and deem the hard copy of Form EC9 submitted on 20 October to it as lawful and sufficient to meet the requirement of Section 29 (2) of the Electoral Act, 2022 as a candidate.

I am an Edo man, an Esan from Edo Central and though am an Asiwaju supporter, I disagree with his projection. Obi is very powerful in Esanland and has dug into and even eaten away PDP votes. Plus Esanland is not heavily swayed by money, my people are obstinately emotional.Obi of LP will likey take 50% of Edo Central, PDP takes 30% while my APC from the rear takes 20%. Where we will get redemption is Oshiomhole's Edo North and Orhionwon axis of Edo South. Obi has a good chance of winning Edo, though they will do terribly in Edo North but the huge population of Edo South will help them

Please, this is my first time on voting because we need a Renewed Nigeria and INEC have assured Nigerians our votes will count.

I beg to ask, will ALL the 18 political parties have one ballot box each or will all votes from all parties use just one ballot box in casting their votes?

Meaning, will INEC officials place 18 ballot boxes representing each 18 political parties in the polling unit for individuals to cast their votes OR will all 18 political party supporters use ONLY ONE ballot box in casting in their votes?

If votes are still counted this way by bringing out papers from the box then it's rubbish. We have not grown digital and still in the analogue stage.
