JoinedNL2023: How much are the election day polling agents paid by the parties?
And how do the parties monitor the agents? What stops an agent from collecting fees from PDP, but working for APC or vice versa?
Finally, when are the polling agents paid, before election day or after election day?
Glad to hear from informed parties on this issue.
Polling agents are mobilised at least 24 hours before election day. Each Polling agent reports to a ward supervisor who reports to a LGA supervisor. Monitoring is via phone calls and WhatsApp channels.
Mobilisation covers transportation to polling unit, feeding, internet data and lodging (especially in rural areas). They might also need to pay for security in violence-prone areas.
We can compare with the money INEC paid to corps members in 2019 to have an idea.
Honoraria - ₦9,000 Feeding+Transport - ₦4,000 Total is ₦13,000
Buharifan: Provided they win their elections and APC gets majority in the national assembly, can they return to their seat or become floor members or majority leaders considering zoning of political offices by parties?
If APC wins the presidential election, zoning will be enforced and they won't be able to return to their positions at the National Assembly.
However, the opposite is the case if the party does not win the presidential election.
icon91: I agree with you when you say stores with not so clear names, dhl free shipping speaks red flag, but i can't agree with you that large number of followers is a red flag sign, nah bro, know the type of info you give out as there are a great number of old & new members learning a lot here including myself
rocken001: Yes it was free shipping. How did you resolve your issue? did you receive the item? i checked the tracking number and destination is Lagos, Nigeria but the item has not been received by DHL, only shipment information.
Forget about the item and wait to open dispute.
Do not patronise any store without a distinct name or large number of followers. A red flag is always DHL free shipping.
rocken001: If so, when can I file for a refund. The estimated delivery date is Mar 01
Look out for the Open Dispute button.
Generally the option to open a dispute will become available on the 11th day after seller has sent out the goods, until to the 15th day after delivery time is over or you confirmed the receipt.
obinnanelson4: I've been using Opay Mini POS and its working fine...after the days business i move the money to my main bank acct. Maybe you should give it a try.

Title for LGA with the highest voting strength belongs and remains with Alimosho LGA.
2 relays actually - the start relay and the overload relay. They are located close to the compressor housing. The start relay is usually the first to burn out due to old age and fluctuations in voltage supply.
buchilla: This development will cause problem and disenfranchise Voters. Not everyone is on the internet. Secondly, there are many Voters who are no longer using the same phone line they used during their PVC Registration. How can such people be informed of the reassignment of their Polling Units?.
The affected persons are new registrants and those who applied for migration. INEC also migrated some old voters and erred by not informing such persons. The good news is that the old and new PUs are located in the same vicinity.
brandon180: Thanks for the response sir, it’s a firman spg3000, turns out my fridge on nepa light turns on but doesn’t cool, it doesn’t make any sound at all. I wonder if that’s also part of the problem:

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to send bulk SMS to voters that has been migrated to new polling units as well as those who transferred their voting rights to new polling units for ease of identifying their polling units during the general elections. The Commission in a statement signed by the Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, said it discovered during the recent mock accreditation exercise that some eligible voters turned up in the wrong polling units. INEC said as a way of making the voting process easier for Nigerians, it created an addition 56,872 new polling units across the country while decongesting over populated ones.
The statement said “arising from the recent mock accreditation exercise nationwide using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), some voters turned up at the wrong polling units. This happened both in cases where voters have been migrated to other polling units by the Commission and even where they voluntarily chose new voting locations during the last Continuous Voter Registration (CVR). We believe that there could be other voters in the same situation. This challenge must be addressed so that it does not happen on Election Day.
“In order to ease the process, the Commission is sending bulk phone text messages (SMS) to citizens voting in new polling units. Similarly, the register of such voters for each State has been sent to the Resident Electoral Commissioners for publicity, particularly through messages in local languages. Furthermore, the Commission is offering two unique ways by which all voters can locate and confirm their Polling Units before Election Day. This can be done by sending a normal text message or by simply visiting our website. The detailed procedure is attached to this message and also uploaded to our website and social media platforms.”

The device is tied to your NIN and location. This means that if it is set to receive signals in Ikeja, you cannot use the device in Ikoyi except you pay a portability fee.
I advice you join the queue. The units are available in-country and DHL has been delivering packages all week.
8 days to go! Accreditation and Voting shall commence at 8:30am and close at 2:30pm. However, anybody who is on the queue before 2:30pm shall be allowed to VOTE 🗳️ #NigeriaDecides2023
The CBN had on Wednesday opened a portal on its website to enable Nigerians who could not take their old notes to commercial banks within the stipulated deadline to redeem (or deposit) them by completing an online form on the platform.
A source from United Bank for Africa (UBA) also told TheCable that the apex bank ordered the banks to commence the acceptance of the deposit of the old N1, 000 and N500 notes from customers upon the presentation of the completed printed copies of the form on the CBN portal.
The source also said such customers would be given immediate credit.
“The maximum that we can receive from a customer between now and 10th of April is a maximum of N500,000 and the customer can only deposit once within this period,” the source said.
“Our branches will be opened on Saturdays to accept such deposits and also pay customers (subject to availability of cash).”
Anap Jets was founded in 2014 by Nigerian banker and entrepreneur, Mr. Atedo Peterside, as a fractional ownership venture for a fleet of business jets. They began operating charter flights in 2017.
The company operates a select fleet of business jets out of their headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. They focus on catering to a variety of VIP and corporate clients who wish to travel throughout Central and Northwest Africa at their convenience and in comfort.
Anap Jets launched their operation with an Embraer Phenom 300. As demand for shares increased, they expanded the fleet with another Phenom 300 and a Legacy 600. In an interview conducted with Mr Peterside in 2015, he explained that the 1,971 NM range of the Phenom makes it an ideal aircraft for the regional flights that their clientele desire.
Mr Peterside made the establishment of an Embraer service centre in Lagos a condition for the purchase of their first Phenom 300. Embraer agreed to establish the centre, making it the first service full maintenance provider for Phenom aircraft in Africa.
