yejide14: This is serious, people are just scheming and planning and cracking their brains,Whoever wins it,whether karen, vina,Hanni or luclay, none of the cash is coming to you. This is just a game Patriotism demands that we should do such. Tomorrow it maybe your turn. initiator: But hey, I thought South Africa voted Karen the last time she was up. So why the fuss? I want an entertaining chap till the very last day and the dude fits it. Forget all that - what will affect Karen'd chances - she would still get the dollars irrespective. Just that our hearts would pump a bit more, and hey, that doesn't hurt ehn. Karen was only voted for by South Africa once of the how many times she was up for eviction. tatiana009: i am voting Hanni and the logic is simple, she affects the dynamics of the game the least. If she stays it helps us ensure that Vina won't get her Country's vote and so Vina stays out of play. Also in the finale, their is no danger of Hanni taking any of our allies, i see her getting just her Country's vote or she can even help share some of the east votes from Sharon. And she is a sweet though boring girl, i wouldn't mind her getting the $10,000. [font=Lucida Sans Unicode][font=Lucida Sans Unicode][font=Lucida Sans Unicode].As for voting Luclay, i fail to see the rationale behind that, his fans have been targeting 9ja and our reps since but more importantly if 9ja puts our force behind him, the guy will get like 8 Countries this week from his 2/15. Then in the finale when he goes back to his 2/15 and Karen takes her votes back we will start hearing shouts of how 9ja rigged "Luclay's" vote's for Karen. Those people are ridiculous and it will come back to bite us some of them are still saying how Munya got 8votes vs Uti's 6 in one week after all the weeks that Uti had more than him. personally i do not see Luclay taking the 2nd price cos his fans lack strategy, don't be surprised if the likes of Hanni, Kim, Lomwe or even Wendall take it right before their eyes but its 9ja they will face with accusations. Good talk. Sharon O said she heard something like Nigeria is strong,it was actually in a negative sense of cheating but she tried to cover it up with innocent looks. |

THE AMAKA: here is my take on this, it doesn't seem logical to vote and save anyone at this point in the game. if we vote for a house mate and they come back, what good will that do us? that country will then vote for their country mate because ITS THE FINALS. I see Angola and a few others want to save Hanni, so I think she will be coming back for sure.
another thing I noticed is that if we save Hanni and she ends up not having enough votes to stay, who will Ethiopia vote for? Hanni and Vina are good friends, and Ethiopia usually votes for Vina when she is on the chopping block, and not so much Karen. Even the last week Karen was up, surprisingly or not so surprisingly, Ethiopia voted for Weza. So if we do vote for Hanni but she doesn't have enough votes to stay, I see Ethiopia voting Vina, but our plan is to have Karen emerge as the Nigerian winner (since she is stronger anyway) so would saving or attempting to save Hanni at this point be logical? or should we save Millicent?
MY BRAIN HURTS. One reason Karen is popular is not just her bluntness but her heart of gold. We need to reward friendship like Karen. Hanni's presence in the final is going to do nothing to Karen's sweet victory in the final. Certainly Namibia and Zambia(if Kim is evicted) will be for Karen in the finals in addition to the G3(Nigeria,Ghana and Rest of Africa) and I bet Angola will also for Karen (you know they denied their own for Karen not to talk of others). Voting Hanni is even more strategic because it will help us edge one of the Zimbos out. Kenya has refused to form alliance with us this season probably because Uti has not married Sheila. Watch how Millicent witchunts Karen . If Millicent goes out it will certainly be to the favor of Sharon 0. Let us also watch out for the voting patterns in the finals. I suspect we will have the privilege of voting for both first and second choices. |

It is not true that Vina felt as if she did not want to save Karen. Her first comment was no doubt she will save Karen her country mate. What she found difficult to do was to make a choice between Sharon O and Lomwe. I think her choice of Lomwe is cool because he told Vina earlier yesterday that Vina would come third when Vina replied that Naija nor dey carry last. I am also glad she did not put Sharon O who protested she would have won the HOH task which Vina did, expressing her dissatisfaction with Biggie's verdict of the winner. At least she will not have any excuse for not winning cause she is definitely going to be in the finals. Can somebody tell me why Luclay so much flouts Biggie's orders and he is not punished? I will prefer Karen and Hanni to be the eventual winners. PLEASE LET US MASSIVELY VOTE FOR HANNI A FRIEND TO OUR HOME GAL AND GOT THE LOOKS THAT WILL OVERPOWER SHARON O IN THE FINALS. MEANWHILE WE WILL UNLEASH THE NAIJA POWER IN THE FINALS TO SECURE ONE OF THE WINNING SPOTS.HE HAS DONE IT BEFORE,HE WILL DO IT AGAIN. |

The most tragic event of this period of our political transformation is not the heinous acts of the children of darkness but the appalling silence of the children of light. |

igbo boy: guy lets be objective and honest, so you really want to tell me that ogboru is a spotless leopard? I have nothing personally against or for him, samething with Uduaghan. Like you rightly said Okowa, uduaghan, Amori etc are all birds of the same feather and wont be the kind of change we are clamouring for in delta, If someone like Utomi wants to run, i think he has more credibility than any of these including Ogboru, Ogboru wey all his family dey for jand far from realities of the average deltan no go now how people dey cope,
thats why i like Bros J all im shudren studied/are studying in naija and are in naija (you think say the guy never divert millions already?) GEJ waded in cash confirm but there is a way you go form make e no be like say u dey do us longer throat u grab? I am glad you are trying to be objective but have refused to be so by 100%,perhaps because of some sentimental attachments. No doubt Ogboru is a better choice than Uduaghan. If you put Uduaghan against Omo-Agege I will hurriedly go for Uduaghan because they are of the same ilk. But for Ogboru, not so. Let me emphasize again that THE SUN SHALL SOON SHINE ON DELTA STATE and the Pharoahs shall be drowned in the red sea. Mark my words,it shall happen suddenly. |

igbo boy: guy i no dey follow u argue like say Uduaghan na better person, my own thing be say make no one take "thou art more holy than you" approach, there is no better alternative to uduaghan lets face it (na ogboru be saint?) . Until we find our messiah my approach is "what is good for the goose is good for the gander', any itsekiri wey no like uduaghan are far far in the minority among the people of iwere land (maybe he no give them contract) cos every Iwere man no say this na once in a lifetime opportunity so dem go all support their son till his tenure is over What did you find against Ogboru that makes you put him in the same class as Uduaghan? Until these politicians realise we are no fools they will never be willing to lift the state up. And we can only achieve this by taking our stance at the polls. Let us fight darkness everywhere and anytime. God will deliver Delta state shortly from the grip of those monsters, mark my words. When the hand of God brings in Ogboru as the Governor of Delta State, should he fail to do the good will of the people we will boot him out too |

igbo boy: Although i agree with you about not bringing in tribal sentiment but biko what is good for the goose is good for the gander finito, Uduaghan aint no saint but if ibori can misbehave for 8yrs and yet everyone kept quiet then it is when it is a non urhobo man that everybody remembers good governance?
Samething on the national level when yoruba and hausa where ruling back then their people no know wetin dem dey call good governance but all of a sudden an Ijaw man is in Aso rock then they know PDP is evil, they know what is good and bad all of a sudden okwa ya?
As a deltan my self I wont rate uduaghan above or below Ibori he is just there, but he has right to chop oil money to0!!
Now when we as deltans or nigerians want REAL CHANGE then we would grow beyond ethnic sentiment, Truth be told uduaghan haters are mostly urhobos and GEJ's hater mostly yoruba and hausa, when ACN can rise above regional/ethnic policy they will have my vote (unless they present FASHOLA for presidencynow now now, cos whether i like yoruba or not the man dey perform and that is an objective statement, finito) What we want to deal with in Delta State is the Pharoahs to Delta People (PDP) aka Ibori political family ( Ibori,Amori,Uduaghan,Ifeanyi Okowa etc) that has held this state to a similar captivity like that in Exodus. Guess what? God is taking their firstborn now like He did to Pharoah in the bible and will drown them all in the red sea. The yorubas and hausas voted for GEJ. I am sure because you were too much in a hurry to buttress the actions of thieves you did not check the records. It was only Osun state GEJ lost to ACN. Ibori was far better than Uduaghan , though the father of thieves. But we could see his impact in road constructions (warri for example) and even distribution of development across the state. For the records I am an Edo indigene born and bred in Delta State, and I have many Delta indigenes from all across the State including Itsekiris who are strongly opposed to Uduaghan's re-election. Surely there is a n end, I can tell you their end is come and the tide will shockingly turn sooner than you think in Jesus name,AMEN |
Politics › Re: Delta State Gubernatorial Elections by aigboeben(op): 8:58pm On Apr 28, 2011 |
shalom1234: I am a full fledged Deltan and it is indeed very SAD the way a few selfish people are going on about this Delta election. For the records, Delta state is made up of a number of tribes: Ibo, Ijaw, Itshekiri, Isoko and Urhobo. The Urhobos since 1991 that the state was created were ruling until 2007 when Uduaghan from the minority came to power.
Felix Ibru was the first executive Governor, then came Ibori, both are from the Urhobo tribe, it is a common knowledge in Delta State that 1.the Urhobos claim to be the real/original owners of Delta State and MUST continue to hold on to the centre
2. They said Asaba can have the centre but all development will be taken to places like Sapele, Ugheli, Effurun etc and we actually saw that in action.
The only reason it appears Ogboru has some kind of spread is because of the internal wrangling in Delta PDP, outside of that, all minority groups in Delta have decided that the Urhobos will not come back until all other tribes have had their turns In as much as some of us believe strongly in merit, we do not agree that Ogboru is the right person for Delta State but he's being promoted by the Urhobos and those PDP members who felt aggreived and decided to dump PDP for DPP simply becuase they feel they can achieve their goals through that platform and not because they believe so much in Ogboru's candidacy,
Uduaghan may also not be the best candidate for Delta but he hasn't done anything to warrant this kind of HATE which is oozing out from the Urhobos. The hate is so so obvious that it's beginning to send wrong signals to other tribes that the Urhobos are noly out to perpetuate themselves in power and nothing else and that is why Ogboru has only won big in mostly Urhobo LGAs while Uduaghan has a better spread cutting accross all the tribes in Delta State.
We all are condeming the old generation but we are also allowing them to rub off on us negatively if we continue to throw objectivity to the dustbin all because things have not gone in our favour. We need to break away from this mentality because it will not help anyone. We will not sacrifice excellence on the altar of ethnicity. Do not try to whip up tribal sentiment. What has Uduaghan done for Delta State. It is sickening to hear a supposedly enlightened person like you make such comments or applly such tactics. |

Delta State Gubernatorial Election Results Update Wednesday, 27 April 2011 23:12 huhuadmin E-mail Print PDF Delta state governorship election results have continued to trail in but with delay. Results from 21 local government areas have so far been declared, remaining four local governments to be announced at 8: 00 am Thursday, 28, 2011 at the INEC headquarters, Asaba. The results show that the PDP’s candidate, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan is treading on a tight rope to victory while the DPP candidate is struggling on a keen contest even as political pundits reason that the contending candidates may end up having a run-off if they do not secure the mandatory 25 percent votes cast in at least 16 local governments.
Total votes so far garnered by PDP are 428, 151 against DPP’s 397, 113 votes cast.
Meanwhile, DPP’s governorship candidate, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru has decried the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta state, saying that the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Gabriel Ogbudu Ada is playing out a script of the PDP in determining the winner at the polls which he described as inconclusive in some parts of the state.
Ogboru, who spoke through his younger brother, Turner Ogboru and that state DPP chairman, Chief Tony Ezeagwu urged INEC to urgently reject results from Warri North, Warri South, warri South West and Ethiope West local government areas of the state, claiming that election did not hold in the areas as it was fraught with massive irregularities.
