There are different types of fasting. If you are engaging on dry fasting, no food , no water, however, if you have certain health issues, you should not engage in dry fast

The Jewish ppl believe in hours that is why they have fastings like 6 to 12, 6 to 3 , 6 to 6 and daily fast. It depends on the one you want to engage it, but in all, if u drink water by 5am it doesn't spoil your fasting.

I wish I can go back to the days when I was very prayerful and was actively interceeding for ppl. Then, 6 to 6 or even 21 day fasts were nothing to me, even dry fasts- 3 days, 5days.... But these days , I can't remember the last time I fasted even to 12pm. The flesh is so weak now, but I hope this topic will wake me from my slumber.
