At 36 year old Lionel Messi still holding off the next generation. He’s the greatest footballer ever liveth, no doubt about that, only penadogs disagree cos they live in their own world which is full of fantasies. Everything Penado dream off in his enter life, Messi did it already and surpass am, I wonder what’s going through his mind right now cos he has been forgotten. 😂😂

I remember when he equalled Messi’s number of D’ors at 5, a journalist asked him if the competition with Leo is over now since they have the same number of awards, he said “it’s just getting started “ modafucka empty barrel…fast forward Leo has 3 more than the loser and topped it with a World Cup, what a sad ending for him, these kind of pain no dey heal, if he like make e score 5000 goals all na wash, good riddance 😂😂😂.

I remember when Messi was asked the same question, earlier this year by a CNN reporter, when he won the Laurel awards, the reporter asked him “Now that you have won the World Cup does that validates your status as the 🐐”… Messi smiled and replied “ I don’t care about individual awards”

Goat or no goat conversations no concern leo, he has never mistakenly or intentionally add “goat” to any of his post ever, na we his fans Dey tag am, things like that no dey move am…. But you see that desert, egomaniac, renowned failure, empty barrel go Dey mumu himself dey call him sef goat, who dash monkey banana, he can only be that in his mind and that of his delusional fanbase who has zero knowledge of football.

I will make reference to day he congratulated King James when he got the highest point in the NBA history, the oloribu tag himself dey call am fellow goat, Ojuelegba goat…😂😂😂

The greatest achievement of penado is being compared to Leo.

Leo is up there with the legends Pele and Maradona, pendu is a nonentity. King of Luxembourg and Sheikh of Al Waziri fc.

PS: Penadogs as usual make una cry in my mentions. I love una tears. ENSR!!! 😂😂

SportsLionel Messi Wins Record-Extending Eighth Ballon D’or Award by AImiron(op): 11:01pm On Oct 30, 2023
The winner of the 2023 Ballon d’Or has been announced and Lionel Messi has won a record-extending eighth award.

The Inter Miami and Argentina striker, who played for Paris Saint-Germain last season, captained Argentina to the World Cup in Qatar last December, ending a 36-year wait for the South American country. Messi, 36, has won the award three times more than anyone else.

Lionel Messi was named the Ballon d’Or 2023 winner at a ceremony in Paris on Monday, the eighth time he has won the prestigious award.

Messi captained Argentina to 2022 World Cup success in Qatar last winter, the first time he won the tournament which ended a 36-year wait for La Albiceleste.

The 36-year-old scored twice in a blockbuster final against France in December which finished 3-3 after extra-time, scored in the penalty shoot-out and was named player of the match.

Messi fought off competition from Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and former Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Kylian Mbappe, as well as 26 other nominees to win the award.

In a league title-winning season for PSG, he played 41 matches during the 2022/23 season, scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists.

At the World Cup in Qatar, Messi scored twice in the group stage and was on target in each knockout round, scoring against Australia, the Netherlands and Croatia, and then in the final.

He finished second in the top goalscorer charts with seven goals and received the Golden Ball at the conclusion of the tournament in recognition of his fine campaign.

On stage, he said: "Thank you very much, to share this with my national team-mates for what we were able to achieve with the national team.

"The entire group, the coaching staff, everyone involved. I’m delighted to be here once more to be able to enjoy this moment one more time.

"To be able to win the World Cup and really achieve my dream, to share this with all those who were involved."Fittingly, after his World Cup success, he added: "To finish, I want to say happy birthday to Diego Maradona."

After his contract at PSG ran out in the summer, Messi moved to Inter Miami in MLS on a free transfer and was one of three players nominated for the award who do not currently play in Europe.

The former Barcelona forward spent 17 years with the Spanish club between 2004 and 2021 and also won the award in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2021.

He was 22 years old when he won his first in 2009 and 14 years later has sealed a record eighth award.

SportsFIFA Bans Luis Rubiales For 3 Years Over Kiss Scandal by AImiron(op): 2:37pm On Oct 30, 2023
FIFA has banned former Spanish football federation chief Luis Rubiales from the sport for three years for misconduct at the Women’s World Cup final where he forcibly kissed player Jenni Hermoso on the lips at the trophy ceremony.

This case relates to the events that occurred during the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup on 20 August 2023, for which Mr Rubiales had been provisionally suspended for an initial period of 90 days,” world football’s governing body said in a statement on Monday.

FIFA did not publish details of the verdict reached by its disciplinary committee judges, who had investigated charges relating to “basic rules of decent conduct” and “behaving in a way that brings the sport of football and/or FIFA into disrepute”.

Rubiales is also under criminal investigation in Spain for kissing Hermoso after the team’s 1-0 victory over England on August 20 in Sydney, Australia. He denied wrongdoing to a judge in Madrid who imposed a restraining order for Rubiales not to contact Hermoso.

At the final whistle in Sydney, Rubiales had also grabbed his crotch as a victory gesture in the exclusive section of seats with Queen Letizia of Spain and 16-year-old Princess Sofia standing nearby.

Rubiales was removed from office by FIFA judges during their investigation, and they also cited a third incident – “carrying the Spanish player Athenea del Castillo over his shoulder during the post-match celebrations” – in a ruling to explain why he was provisionally suspended.

The risk of witness tampering by Rubiales and his allies was also cited to justify the interim ban that is now confirmed to extend beyond the next men’s World Cup in 2026, being hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Rubiales resigned from his jobs in football in September after three weeks of defiance that increased pressure on him from the Spanish government and national team players.

“After my swift suspension by FIFA, and the rest of the cases building against me, it is clear that I cannot return to the post,” Rubiales said on September 10 while giving up the federation presidency he had held since 2018.

Rubiales also had to give up his vice presidency of the European football body UEFA, which paid him 250,000 euros ($265,000) each year. UEFA later thanked Rubiales for his service in a statement.

When Rubiales resigned, which was coordinated with an interview with a British cable news channel, he noted not wanting to be a distraction from Spain’s bid to host the men’s 2030 World Cup in a UEFA-backed project with Portugal and Morocco.

That bid has since been picked by FIFA as the only candidate to host the 2030 tournament in a plan that now also includes its former opponents Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Rubiales can request details of the FIFA disciplinary verdict within 10 days and then file an appeal, football’s world body said. He could file a further appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

SportsInter Miami's Robert Taylor Dressed Up As Lionel Messi's Bodyguard For Halloween by AImiron(op): 10:03pm On Oct 29, 2023
Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami team-mate Robert Taylor has taken inspiration from the Argentine’s bodyguard, Yassine Cheuko, in his Halloween costume.

It is that time of the year in which young and old dress themselves up and prepare to head out partying or trick or treating. Professional footballers are always happy to join in with the festivities - with star names such as Neymar and Sam Kerr having got involved down the years.

Taylor, who has impressed alongside Messi since the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner arrived in the United States, has taken inspiration from Cheuko heading into Halloween – with the burly security guard never far from Messi’s side.

Cheuko has been seen wrestling with pitch invaders eager to share an embrace or selfie with their sporting idol, with Messi taking advice from Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham when it comes to hiring protective muscle that has his best interests at heart.

CelebritiesTaylor Swift Now A Billionaire by AImiron(op): 5:48pm On Oct 27, 2023
You’d think by now, Taylor Swift would have officially reached all the important career milestones – but she’s just added another one to her list.

The US singer-songwriter, 33, has reportedly reached billionaire status, joining a group only a select few are part of.

Taylor’s net worth has reached astronomical heights in recent years, with her highly successful Eras Tour being credited for skyrocketing her bank balance to 10 digits.

As reported by Bloomberg, Taylor is now worth $1.1billion (£905million), a truly incomprehensible sum.

To put that into perspective, one billion is equal to 1,000 million.

If you are trying to save up $1bn and you are able to save at a rate of $100 per day, it would take you approximately 27,397 years to reach that golden $1bn… yep.

Grammy winner Taylor – whose career has spanned 17 years – now accompanies the likes of Kim Kardashian and Oprah Winfrey in the billionaires club.

According to Bloomberg’s analysis, $400m (£329m) of Taylor’s net worth comes from music released by her since 2019, $370m (£305m) comes from ticket sales and merchandise, and $120m (£99m) comes from Spotify and YouTube earnings.

Taylor previously engaged in negotiations with streaming platforms like Spotify over how her music is monetised, which was also monumental in the industry.

She’s also added to her discography in recent years by releasing re-recorded versions of her earlier work in Taylor’s quest to own her masters.

She has so far released ‘Taylor’s Verions’ of Fearless (2008), Red (2012), Speak Now (2010), and now 2014’s 1989, which dropped this week to high praise.

Meanwhile, Taylor also reportedly has $110m (£91m) from the current value of five personal properties, as she owns homes across New York, Los Angeles, Rhode Island, and Nashville.
