YouTube videos without hard copy of narratives, would be difficult to remember things learnt.
Do schools refer students to YouTube or textbooks?
Youtube is good, but a read up of processes is also very good. It's a good ebook on excel with 1059 pages, so you can imagine how deep the content is!!!
Looks like you are an excel junkie! I learnt pivot tables in 5mins by watching someone do it. But I never understood what he was doing until I read d excel bible. Wicked book that one

Airsaylongcon( I call you Eseoghene in my head), lizard dey reach obodo oyinbo turn alligator ooh. You never see...... People wey get 3rd class for naija dey go Warwick and Bolton for top up, graduate with upper for BSc and Distinction for Masters. I just say make I burst that bubble.
Na Urhobo ppl dey answer Eseoghene. In the part of America where I come from (the City of Benin) we go by the name Esosa with a slight Spanish twist at the end. Lol!

Talking about lizard wey go "overs" turn alligator the person na alligator before e nor just know. Person like me I wanted to be a footballer. But with my two left legs no matter how Barcelona try I cannot be the next Messi. But make Microsoft catch me first weda I know go threaten Einstein. There was a story about a tiger wey become best friends with goat (abi na lamb) wey suppose be e food. When d tiger eye clear e lemm d goat tight. The fact that it was playing with the goat didn't stop it from being a tiger.

Well, I do not agree with the 'more population, more quality' logic though. But in the general sense of it, it's quite a major factor in the Nigeria case.

A situation where you have a 750 sitting capacity lecture theatre for 2,000 students to attend lectures is not so rosy. the people with sitting spaces in front are the people who slept overnight in that hall or have arrived as early as 5a.m. Anything short of 6a.m, you'll have to stand like an aide-de-camp for 5-6hrs, where the best alternative to a desk to place your notes to write is your left palm, for a righty and the right one for a lefty. All you can write/copy is the note of the person who copied from the person who copied from the person.. (-and so the chain goes on and on-) who sat in the front. Other 'competitive' makeshift spots to occupy are the floor of the podium, the upper and lower window spaces (the burglary is your best bet for balance, you gotta hold on to it with your life if don't wanna fall), or you just find a sweet best friend who gets space in front to lap you or rather you lap her during lecture period. Your priority is not to see the lecturer's face or his writings on the board, it is at least, to hear what he's saying to correlate with what you're 'dubbing' so as not to dub nonsense. No PAS, No Projector. How students managed to ace some tough courses under these conditions still baffle me though.

Relatively, a student with performing averagely with Bs or Cs under these conditions might do better with an A under suitable conditions; less than 40people in a class, all sitted, good ventilation, visual aids, no struggle for spaces in the library, etc.... Book go enter your head na. cheesy
The emphasis in most Nigerian Schools (public and private) seems to be verbatim copying of whatever the instructor dictates in class which IMHO is wrong. I had several running battles with different lecturers in school because I failed to regurgitate what was given in class. I had a Mathematics Professor that insisted that I write word for word what he had integrated! The emphasis for me is learning. The school is only shows you the road, the real process of learning can only occur IF you walk down that road by yourself. In my first year in school I had a conversation with final year students and was stunned to hear computer science students saying "I don't like programming". In my head I was like is't that like a doc saying "I dont like blood"? I learnt programming in secondary school when I was barred from entering the computer lap cos i didn't know how to use a computer. That day I went to the Library and (God forgive me) stole a computer book in the hopes that it will teach me how to use the computer. Turned out that it was a book about programming a text-based gaming. I got hooked.

Bottom line is whether public or private WHEN YOU ARE GOOD YOU ARE GOOD. A lizard cannot leave Nigeria and become an alligator in the UK

For everyone looking for the Excel Bible, there's a smaller (approx 14mb) version here.

It is the complete book stripped of extraneous PDF data. Note that this is for Excel 2013. There are versions for Excel 2010 and Excel 2016 and I will be willing to share if anyone is interested

Nice combination. Small points of note, I wouldn't wear suede to an interview purely because I want to show how my leather glistens. I also would ensure my belt, shoe and in this case bag are of the same colour.

Finally switch from the regular tie knots. I always tie the eldredge when going for an interview. Peeps end up asking how I knotted it and voila a conversation has started

Perhaps cos Public Universities have 200 times the population of Privates', another issue could be the number of consultancy services; professors, courses, failures, passes, attendee certificates, dilapidated structures, faculties n departments, over streched laboratories, outdated cataloguing, unionism, landmass etc. in public unis are way wider than any known private.

All these aside, I quite agree Public Unis are academically superior to thier 'secondary school' setting private universities, (no offence to those who attended private unions)
Does quantity dictate quality? Nigeria probably has 10times the population of Japan yet Japan is "superior" to Nigeria. Heck China has a population 100 times more than Japan and only in the last 30years have they managed to catch up.

Most public uni grads have the misconception that cos they've studied in tough conditions they are superior believing that in" softer" conditions they will do better. But is this really true?

Why do graduates of public uni believe they are academically superior to private uni grads?

iPhone 6 has 1GB ram but faster than all 3GB android phones, iPhone 6 has 8 pixels cameras and rated the best camera compare to 13 & 16 pixels android phones, I phone doesn't sent out or receive any stuff because of security, Apple Store did not have antivirus app and its app is the best compare to android. Thousands of good app in Apple Store that are not available in play store for android users. I've been using it since January 2012 and I will continue to use it because is the best.
Even a jailbroken iPhone cannot compare with a ROMmed android. I like iPhone but droids trump it for usability

Airsaylongcon! I respect you a lot as a Technoprenuer that you are, but clearly, not when it comes to political arithematic, how can you say 'selective populist anti-corruption' war when clearly people from all works of life are begining to join the EFCC bandwagon?

A politically motivated instructions cannot be gainsaid in any democracy around the world, but clearly the fight against corruption as it currently stands is far from being Selective, antagonist, nepotist or malappropriate in the view of the majority.

Nevertheless, the saying in politics goes; The minority will should have their say, but the majority will always have their way
Everytime I pull out, I get pulled back in. Ok anti-corruption as practiced by my President and Commander in Chief President Muhammadu Buhari s NOT populist. I concur.

Meanwhile as Oliver Twist wey I be has anyone critically scrutinised the email from Bonny? The wordings of the email notifying us that recruitment is ongoing is very vague O. What does "due course" mean in pidgin? Na like dis we go dey dey? Until 100 o'clock?

He sacked them and asked them to pack out of government quarters within 24 hours. My father said he picked race like a small boy. My mama chop koboko tire because she dey queue for essenco. Add that to d "dogs and baboons" talk of 2011 and his "an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north" and you will see why he can never win me over.

It makes me feel very uncomfortable when I hear people make careless and perhaps illogical arguments. I am not even referring to your calling Kemi a novice or calling Lai Mohammed "Liar". I however find it pedestrian to cite the "indictment" of Amaechi by the panel set by Wike as a proof of victimization by the current government. I don't know if it is your expectation that all Wike could do was to set a panel, spend taxpayers money, indict Amaechi, but rather than take him to court because the panel lacks jurisdiction, expect the judiciary to take up the case for them while they pass judgements on newspapers. It is even more baffling that it is APC, an opposition party and to which the subject belongs, that you expect to take action on their report. You also referred to all those under investigation as belonging to PDP only. What is even more interesting is that you are so bold in making your comment. Smh...
Funny your put the indictments in quotes. Why did the majority APC senate refuse to discuss it prior to Amaechi screening? Funny also how my calling Kemi and LAIr incompetent and liars respectively is piquing some folks. Calling the past Commander in chief clueless and a drunk was ok by APC but referring to the cow charmer elected as president is now condescending or referring to his devil anointed cabinet as incompetent is now an offence?

If Amaechi is not corrupt the APC SHOULD have allowed the report of the panel to be discussed. In saner climes, people resign when corrupt allegations are made against them. They resign to fight for their name. If Amaechi wasn't corrupt he would have gone to court alleging defamation of character

Errrhmmm! Lemme just come in here, speaking about numerous arrests; Sen. Yerima, Brig. Gen. Jafaru Isa, Gov.Murtala Nyako, Alh. Aminu Baba Kusa are clearly not PDP card carrying members but yet under EFCC investigation currently.

Brother, I think sincerely speaking the fight on corruption has to start from somewhere, let's just all agree we need corruption out of our system, then we can develop a TOR later.
Develop a TOR after the so-called fight has begun? That's like saying your salary will be discussed after you start work. Get it right I'm NOT against anti-corruption. I'm against selective populist anti-corruption.

But Pat Utomi has strongly defended economic decisions taken by the current administration that they are moving in the right direction. So it means President Buhari is doing it right, Kemi Adeosun isn't that bad afterall. Airsaylongcon, you cannot fight the enemies within and without at the same time, they will join hands and synergize. If truly Amaechi, Tinubu etc are corrupt as alledged by you, their own time is coming. The war against corruption however we perceive it has begun, with time 'I believe' everyone will be alright. I know say we not fit gree lailai, but we need you guys in the opposition so the sitting government won't relax but rather think out of the box like they are doing now to salvage the economic situation the ineptitude of our past leadership has plunged us into.
Kemi is still a novice and I can tolerate that. How about the Chief liar of Nigeria?

Let us seperate victimisation from corruption. Amaechi was indicted by a panel of enquiry in Rivers State. What did APC do about it? Throw it under the carpet. One must not only be seen to be fighting corruption as evidenced by the numerous arrests and humiliation of PDP members, one must also actually fight corruption by uprooting the witch within. The Yorùbá have a proverb wọn sọ wípé kòkòrò tòun je ẹ̀fọ́ abẹ ẹ̀fọ́ ló wà. (The pest ruining the vegetable can be found within the vegetable).
