I don't know if it's my past experience that makes me patient about these things. I have been in a recruitment were it took 4 years from advert to offer letter. Year three we were asked to go and do medical and we were all excited that in weeks we'd resume. We had to wait a solid one year for the final offer to come and another 4 months to resume

If you have the skills, why not? Your main problem would be the overly bureaucratic process around these things here (I suspect you are also American). Most of the time it involves paper applications rather than online. Add that to the inefficient process we have here (and discrimination you'd face for not being a "real Nigerian" it can get frustrating. I'd advise you start at the ministry of education and ministry of communication (IT is under Communication ministry)

No it's not.
GCC used Saville for their assessment.

While the numerical is about the same, the verbal and spatial is different. SHL verbal is yes, no cannot say but theirs is different. The spatial is about operations on spatial objects.
Fingers crossed!

OK! Thanks for the feedback. Saville is still "answerable" compared to Dragnet

Since UI doesn't offer business courses as you suggested why then did they participate in last year's CFA competition? Which by the way Covenant still destroyed all them faces. angry

This is not holding brief for Covenant alone, but to let you know the private sector led initiative is taking over and a rebuff to the crappy, overhyped nonsense you call universities.
Even the UI's bursar jettisoned OAU, UniLag, UNN and ran his Masters and PhD in Babcock university.

The great Babcock. God's own University! tongue

I agree. Most likely SHL. This would be a very reasonable test to partake in. I hope they call for buyers soon if they haven’t already.

SHL is a fairer test IMO than the rubbish that Dragnet does

Following last comment from oak, I can say with a high degree of certainty that it's SHL style Numerical Reasoning he described. 18 mins, 24 questions, CALCULATOR... definitely SHL Numerical Reasoning rather than an Assessment Centre

I'm not sure DSS will be aware(but it's possible that they are) . But the op is someone that has been in the game so there's no way that he won't know.

DSS not aware?! Then what kind of vetting do they do? What I'm more puzzled is that with the Ops well coloured past with gangs and drugs that the DSS still recruited him. I'm wondering what is the criteria for working with them because I always believed that these kind of organisations recruited a certain cadre of people.

How many questions for how long?
Was it computer based only?
Was it objectives or theory?
Were the questions general engineering, or profession based?
Were you allowed to use calculator or not? etc

He said its an Assessment Centre. That already suggests things like group task, interview (probably competency based), Presentation, Problem-solving (of a hypothetical or real life situation) etc. ACs are full day HR evaluation tools that give recruiters an idea of who you are.

Aghawonder got a goal against Senegal back in Ghana/Nigeria 2000 though. Probably an oversight by the OP.

A very crucial goal where he struck in between two defenders. Could have had a career ending injury if the defenders decided to step on his knee. That was his break out goal that turned him to our target man.

I'm stunned that the OP says Yekini scored in Algiers 92. Algiers was 90 Senegal was 92. So @OP which one hin score? In 1990 Algeria did opened and closed the tournament by beating us. 92 was probably one of our fiercest games with Ghana in the Semi (we don't play games like those anymore)

Normal route these kind of threads take when there's a scarcity of information from the recruiter. I guess none of you have had to wait for a year to hear from the recruiter.

I subscribe to the "move on" philosophy as it enables one proceed with his career plans and growth.

Buyers any updates? Or should I just "move further on"?

Renard, Overrated? You certainly don't know African Football. Renard took a lowly Zambian side to AFCON Victory in 2012. Repeated the same feat with Ivory Coast in 2015, who had become perennial underachievers.

Now Morocco is the most entertaining side in Africa. Did you watch 2018 World cup where they matched giants Spain and Portugal might for might?

Took 9 points from their group at the just concluded AFCON. Were only unlucky to be eliminated on penalties after missing a stoppage time Penalty.

Harve Renard is the best coach in African Football. Only coach that comes close is his former boss, Claude Le Roy , but you don't know him, do you?

The white witch doctor... Remember him from Senegal 92 were he coached Senegal or Cameroon. Ahhhhhh the good old days when a Nigerian match with Ghana or Cameroon was a duel with both sides having very good respect for the other. The era Abedi "Pele" Ayew, Jules Bocande, Cyril Makanaky and the Biyik brothers.

Wikipedia isn't infallible hope you know that ?

You are right about Wikipedia not being infallible. But on this one they are right. As a youngster I remember Cameroon as part of Ecowas until the very early 90s when they left. The rumoured reason was that they were finding the football opposition within West Africa too stiff and decided to move to Central. We believed then that with FIFA expanding Africa's slot to 5 each of the regions North, East, West, South and Central Africa will each produce one representative for the World Cup

Got admitted to Uni at 19 to study CS. Dropped out in my last year because I had "mis-spent" my uni days. Dropped out with only my Final Year Project and a few courses left. Was set to graduate with the equivalent of a rock bottom 2:1 when I dropped out aged 23. 3 years later at 26 went back to school to study the same CS at a different Uni. Went to school with folks 10years my junior and felt like a grandad. But I graduated with a 2:1 and moved on with my life. Starting all over never hurt. And it's never ever too late to start all over
