Yes you are right about the recovery tools. But then, there are lots of conditions attached to that and you will agree with me that not all files can be recovered.

In fact, some recovery tools require that you do not save or modify any file on your system before the recovery process so as to increase the chance of getting your files back.

Why? Because when you delete a file sometimes (especially when it's not a large file, large files are mostly deleted permanently), the memory space of that file is overwritten by a new or modified file, so you can recover this file before been overwritten.

That's why they usually advise that you don't save or modify any file on your system pending the recovery. Even some recovery tools are installed on a separate system for the recovery process.

The question was whether deleted files can be recovered. The answer is yes! Simples

CBT solutions don't work like that. They pull questions from a question bank on an as-needed basis. What you saw was a html rendition of the text/graphic that was displayed.

I think your ability to view source is a procedural weakness by your institution. When I deploy CBTs I configure the client systems to use a browser called Safe Exam Browser. This locks down the Computer (Kiosk mode) and puts the browser in full screen mode hiding all the menu buttons and disabling any shortcut button combo. You can't even use CTRL-ALT-DELETE. Only authorised apps (like calculator) can be used.

You should be able to print from the tab to a wireless connected hp printer *if* both tab and printer are on the same network . There's a HP print service on the play store

Try and put it in DFU mode

How to put your iPhone or iPad into DFU mode
Plug your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad into your Mac or Windows PC and make sure iTunes is running.
Turn Off your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad if it isn't already.
Press and hold down the On/Off button on the right side (iPhone 6 or later) or top (all other iPhones, iPods, and iPads) for 3 seconds.
Swipe the slide to power off confirmation slider to the right.
Press and hold down the On/Off button on the right side (iPhone 6 or later) or top (all other iPhones, iPods, and iPads) of you iPhone for 3 seconds.
Press and hold down the Home button on the front of your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad while still holding down the On/Off button.
Keep holding both buttons down for 10 seconds. (If you see the Apple logo, you've held them too long and will need to start again.)
Let go of the On/Off Button but keep holding the Home button for about 5 seconds. (If you see the "Plus into iTunes" screen then you held it too long and will need to start again.)
If the screen stays black, that's it! Your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad should now be in DFU mode

At this point iTunes will show you an alert saying it's detected your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad and it needs to be restored.

Reminder: If you see any logos on your device, you may be in Recovery Mode, but you're not in DFU mode. If Recovery Mode works, great. If not, try for DFU Mode again

PS: You can also try putting it in recovery mode as well. If you are able to put it either in DFU or Recovery mode and iTunes can detect it then voila you have original otherwise my brother hold your brokus and run for your dear life

Good that you are so educated. But programming is a different field.
A programmer with only knowledge of a programming language and how to code can create software for
any domain. His software just has to be acceptable to the end user (i.e perform acceptably)
I bet you think your phD gives you more entitlement to market software to your clients but you are wrong.
It's called trial and error for a reason, because, through many iterations and feedback from the users of
your software you can eventually deliver something they really need.

Would a phD in education or any degree in education be required to create software for the education sector?
what about degrees in hotel management?
what about in project management?
what about in accounting/law etc?

Could we simply drop the jargons on things like this or keep it to a minimum?
hotel/supermarket/school software are just database queriers and calculators.
fetch data from the database, present it to the user. compute this.
You dont need a phd or specific degree to do those. If you have, it gives you and edge, but
once the domain is learnt (e.g by interacting with the client), the solution can be replicated.
Your domain knowledge gives you the ability to talk to the client in his own language and to understand him better but using that as an underhand to muscle out non-native solution providers is anti-competitive.

That's why they are patches and updates.
A lone programmer does'nt equate to crappy software or vice versa.
Economic restraints may limit the lone programmer but writing off his work because he is a lone
worker is illogical.

I am talking of your regular of the mill programmer you'd find on NL. Believe me none of them do any QA testing

It's good to see professionals getting involved in this. I gree up in a medical home (dad FRCS General surgeon, mum nurse). One thing I've found though is that docs are still heavily attached to scrawling their fowl scratch handwriting on paper. Worse for the more experienced old school docs. One of my favourite easy to deploy EMR was openEMR. The downside was that it was heavily skewed towards practice in the US so I only deployed for Docs forming US practice in Nigeria. Another more generic one was openHospital. I've monkeyed about with the US Veterans Administration OPENVISTA and I still think it is the most comprehensive especially for teaching hospitals with multiple specialties.

The question or shall I say problem I have with Nigerian programmers getting involved in this is the lack of proper QA testing. These are mission-critical software and require a team of software engineers rather than a lone programmer sitting behind the laptop.
