You sounding like a rascal and really unintelligent. He was a former governor of the state, an immediate one at that. The onus is on the current governor to take the whole burial upon itself. The family isn't to be treated like an outcast or just a nobody. Her family served Oyo state for good 8years and even if shorter. Makinde goofed on this and he's starting to appear power drunk, very unlike he was before getting elected. Too bad.
The corpse of Ajimobi is of Coronavirus.
Moreso, the family was on government payroll, the woman hid the man away from government and neither did she inform the government of the died of her husband.
Emotional blackmailing because of Agodi GRA property is unfair. She will die one day and leaves all these properties

All these because governor did not approve that a litigated property at Agodi GRA to massage your ego.
Madam played to the gallery. You said you were not called to console you, they told you that they called you and not even once, you made another demand that you were not texted. But the Deputy Governor was there in person.
Even you madam, since your husband has died and even on the day you were burying you husband ( on Sunday oo), you can't even honour him my close your family businesses. Supermarket was opened as Ajimobi was being buried.

Ajimobi's burial: This wicked lie must stop
The Oyo State Government has strongly denied insinuations that it is responsible for the delay in burying the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who died on Thursday.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that the insinuations amounted to a wicked lie.
The statement read: "In view of the intense enquiries from news media organisations regarding the perceived delay in burying the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Oyo State Government wishes to place on record that there is no truth in the rumour making the rounds that the burial is being delayed by the state government.
"The rumour, which is being deliberately spread to give the state government a bad name and to play undue politics with the dead, initially came by the way of social media gossip, which gained traction to attract the attention of traditional media outfits.
"Several media outfits reached out to the Media Office of the Governor of Oyo State to make enquiries on this barefaced lie on Saturday.
"Let it be stated clearly that the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has played no role at all in causing any delay whatsoever regarding the burial of his immediate predecessor, Senator Ajimobi.
"The truth of the matter is that the family, through a proxy, approached the state government and sought approval to bury the late governor on a plot of land at Agodi GRA, which is currently under litigation.
"Incidentally, it was the same former Governor Ajimobi who instituted the legal action.
"Governor Seyi Makinde had no choice than to state the facts as they are to the emissaries and turn down the request.
"Governor Makinde, however, against the established land use rule in Oyo State, gave approval that the family can bury the late governor in his Oluyole Estate residence.
"It is to be noted that the rules guiding land use in Government Reservation Areas (GRA) forbid the burial of bodies in such locations as Oluyole Estate and Agodi GRA.
"Let us also put on record that whereas the family did not follow the laid down protocols in passing information on the sickness and eventual demise of Senator Ajimobi, Governor Makinde overlooked all that and directed the full cooperation of the government with the family on this matter.
"It can only amount to a wicked lie to insinuate that the incumbent government in Oyo State attempted to obstruct the burial of the immediate past governor."

When you called somebody you have never communicated with before an emergency, the right thing to do is to send SMS. The Deputy Governor has no excuse. The government has other channels to reach the family. The Police team at Agodi GRA residence, were they sent there before Ajimobi died? Were they sent there to prevent his spirit or his family entering the property? The woman has a point.
That is you on a personal note.
Officially, their family are being catered for by government. It is reckless and ignorance of the wife of a family that government is spending more than half a million naira every month to say the phone number from number two citizen of such state is a strange number.

Let's not twist it. She didn't say the visit was too late. She said the man (whom she only used as an example) didn't reach out earlier. She expected some people to have reached out even before she returned. So if she didn't return till next month, he'd waiting till she comes back to express condolences? I don't know why we're galvanizing this. If I hear someone I know lost a family member, I'd scream and pick up my phone. If I can't do that at the moment, I'd do whenever I'm less busy. If the phone is off or the person doesn't pick, I'd send an sms. These little things go a very long way to show to what extent we hopd people. I wouldn't wait till I can visit.
Don't use family member narrative please.
This is official, sentiment apart.
The first duty required of them in state protocols is to inform the state governmentor national Government as the case may be. They have failed in that respect.
Secondly, the state government still went ahead to establish contact to the family through the State Deputy Governor, she claimed that she does not pick strange numbers.
Third, the state delegations led by Deputy Governor visited immediately she returned back to the state.
Meanwhile, state apparatus have been deployed to sing praises of her husband including he didn't deserve.
The problem is about Agodi GRA property, she cannot handtwist the state government.
Who is telling you that state government is not even contacting her? We are only examine her narrative which was ill-concieved.
She and the family members have been begging State government for Agodi GRA property since Thursday, using her husband body as a bait.

Just leave them. They are all insignificant. I know them very well. I have lost two very personal friends this month. One just retired from the military few months ago after 35 years in active service. The Course mates never expected the wife at that point to be picking calls except calls from officers wives whom she knows very well and calls on her husband phone.

These people are fighting psychological warfare and others are political enemies. What transpired at that hospital within the last few days to his death is left to them.
Whether she picked call or not, the Deputy Governor was there to commiserate on behalf of the state with the family.
When she knew that she would not be picking all the calls, why would she accused the Deputy Governor of not calling her?

Of course, she doesn't have to read later again cause the man never sent anyways. It's not about when she reads it but about when and if it was sent. For all we know, it's possible the man didn't even call. If the man had sent an sms, she wouldn't have had any logical reason to burst out like this and there wouldn't be rooms for doubt. It's better to have clearly identified enemies than those that pretend to care.
When is it too late to pay commiserating visit? After just four days, or two days or one day?

Text messages are stored and can be read at any time. The woman didn't say it's too late but could have come earlier. It's death we're talking about.
She does not need to read the text message later again, the man was there with him just four days after the death of his husband.
The woman just came into the state this morning, if not, the state delegations would have come earlier.
She chose the death of her husband to pick more enemies.
Death you are talking about. All their businesses are opened, if today when the husband was being buried.

Ajimobi schooled in America working , washing corpse and doing menial jobs like taxi driver later married Florence an half Lebanese rich man's child

Rose to the level of Executive Vice President West Africa of ExxonMobil after working in the oil sectoxr for 26 hard years and NewYork best insurance firm

And you fvcking think he can't school his kids anywhere he likes?

About education Ajimobi's policy was simple and straightforward, parents pay 1000 per term into PTA account while Government matches the fund 100% and Principals and School Governing body can repair the schools , employ temporary teachers PTA teachers, buy books while parents cordinate the contract.. same parents that drink paraga and attend owambe don't have mere ₦30 per day for education

On Lautech he gave them blunt honest options

A: Audit your IGR , tuition fees, Lautech ventures like Lautech water, Lautech Bread etc and give him the statement of account so that he can pay them deficits needed to pay Greedy Lecturers

B: Oyo granted full Ownership of Lautech and Osun's withdrawal of ownership since Aregbesola wasn't paying any Kobo

C: Students pay Atleast 100k as tuition, as Oyo State 5billion FAAC Abuja allocation can't finance 900million monthly lecturers outrageous salary

And in less than 4 years he built a University called TECHU for Oyo State (he doesn't own a private university like his mates but built one for Oyo), note last Governor to build a University for Oyo State was Bola Ige in the 1980s

.
You are a lair. Ajimobi was a son of a politician. He father was member of State assembly.
Infact, Barrister Shitu Adebayo, the immediate former minister of communication was a colleague with Ex-governor Ajimobi's father in the old Oyo State House of Assembly. So also, his uncle was a former state minister in the western region. He was born with silver spoon in his mouth.

When you lose a loved one, you're advised not to pick calls for a few days. That aside, let's say that for whatever reason, a bereaved person doesn't pick your call, do you need an oracle to tell you what next to do? We all know how how this plays out. Protocol or not, anything worth doing is worth doing well. If you want to reach out, do it properly, otherwise, don't bother
But they can be reading text message abi.
The man has come to represent government just four days, I don't think it is too late. Simple !

The person with the phone might have been told not to pick up unsaved numbers. For goodness sake, a lot of things might have transpired. The ideal was for the DG to send a text if he really cared to reach out. When you call a bereaved friend and she doesn't pick up for any reason, the common thing to do is to send an SMS. That's common sense.

Formal or informal manner, her outburst reflected the state of her heart. What you call formal manner was just a face value discussion that does not go beyond the mouth.
If you are bereaved, it will be stupid if you say only saved numbers should be picked. If you picked unwanted calls, you can end it.
More so, he was not calling as a bereaved friend, but as protocol demands.
Normally, wife of a former senator and former governor of eight years, I don't think she or her family will be too stupid that they would not be expecting such official calls.

Like I said earlier, she said he should have sent a message because insisting he didn't call would be tantamount to calling him a leit and that would have been disrespectful. If you call a morning friend and she doesn't pick what do you do? I'm not saying there was no beef between the DG and her husband but if the man didn't properly reach out to her just because of the beef with the husband, let him stop pretending to care now. It's obvious the woman is not in for fake smiles.

And please, we're not fighting. It's just a discussion.
It is avoidable drama. The man in question just died four days ago.
Ganduje, who was even an in-law to them just came there today.
The woman herself just returned to Oyo State today. And the man was there physically to commiserate on behalf of state government.
Just four days after the death. I don't think it is too late to come.
Like I have said earlier if you read some of my posts, the wife and the governor have been dragging property in Agodi GRA since Thursday.
The bitterness of the rejection was what played out there

She would expect and pick multiple calls from saved contacts. Bereaved or not, there's no way she'll open herself up to strange numbers, bros. Besides, like someone already pointedly out, phones are normally taken away from mourning wives. That's the norm in many places. There's nothing that stop the deputy governor from sending an sms. Let's call a spade a spade.
If the phone has been taken, the person with phone should have told her that deputy governor is on the line.
These are elitists not ordinary civilians. There are protocols, not excuse for not following protocols except when you are playing to the gallery.
Her display is for the commoners, among the ruling class, she has bleeped up.
Do you even know that she had to re-address the issue in a formal manner? But it was too late.

The only take away from that was that she didn't pick any call from the deputy. If she had insisted the deputy didn't call, it would have been meant she was calling him a liar and that would have been extremely disrespectful. An sms is not hard to type. How many morning windows pick calls a few days after they lost their husbands? Bro, a simple sms would have done just fine.

Just go and sit jare.
The woman said that she was not called, later she was shown that she was called and she changed the narrative that he should have sent text message.
If she cannot pick the calls, who told you that she would have time to read the text message?
Do you know that the man sitting there as Deputy Governor was unjustly sacked when he was civil servant by her husband?
Leave the matter joor, you don't have full details.
